I've had my Prime for a few weeks and have been searching all over for the anyone that has received there TF201-DOCK-CG in CHAMPAGNE Gold.
I have seen post stating they have gotten there Gray docks but not been able to find the CHAMPAGNE.
If you either have received this or if this is still on back order status please provide this information.

Haven't received it yet but I'm expecting it soon. I pre ordered one from Abes of Maine, and another from ShopBLT. Both are expecting to get a shipment of them on the 27th of this month, which is the best I've heard from ANY place so far. Whichever can send it to me first, I'll cancel the other's order.

When I spoke to the today they did state that this was the third time that they have had a push from the Manufacturer and this was not a firm data by any means. They also stated that while they have 371 coming in the back order was in the 400 range, but they expected 3% would cancel there order.
I guess I will wait and see

I ordered one from shopblt.com back on Dec 23rd with a ship date of January 5th. They wrote a very creepy email stationg the name and address didn't match to the card and the email verification could have been spoofed (I used my Gmail add) since it was a public domain. Then they asked me for a photocopy of my drivers license or a copy of my electric or gas bill to verify the address and name. They also stated this shouldn't be of concern because the information I gave them for the order was equivalent to personal info (essentially saying I might as well give the my social security as well ). I immediately cancelled my order as the ridiculousness of it was over my head. Might just have been me but beware! Seemed too creepy

Please provide the other threads as I have searched and only found ones relating to the gray docks but none on this one directly, and I will ask for this to be removed.

Gary, if you're reading this thread can you shed some light on the absent champagne dock issue?
I have it (well, had, send it back because of backlight bleeding). At least it is for sale in Holland (bundled with the 32GB Prime).
I pre ordered from Amazon on Nov 22 together with the prime. I have had the prime for weeks now but still haven't gotten the keyboard dock. I received an email from Amazon on Jan 12th saying the dock will be delayed and if I still want the order. I said yes, and nothing since then.

Ditto... same situation here.
Hopefully the Champagne docks will at least be available for order for 10 minute windows next week.

Well, Champagne docks have now been pushed into February. My PCNation order had been 2-5 days since last week and now is 1-2 weeks. Checking ShopBLT site shows they won't be in until Feb. 7.
I've had this on order since mid December. What the hell is going on?

I suspect they haven't shipped any to the US. I pre-ordered the CG dock at the same time I ordered our Primes on Nov 22.

I emailed Abes of Maine after I got a weird email from them that made it look like I had ordered it only yesterday rather than weeks ago. They said it was nothing to worry about, just that it was to say they received a bunch of them and were shipping them out today and tomorrow. They also said to expect it to be delivered before the weekend!!
So, if any of you ordered from Abe's, you might want to email them and ask if anything new is happening.

CG dock still in stock at Newegg. Just ordered with overnight shipping. Charged and processing. Now... To Sell this gray dock lol
My CG Dock order with Tigerdirect (placed Nov 23) changed from "Backordered" to "In Process". They were among the first to deliver the CG tablet, so I assume this means they also received an allotment of CG docks and are starting to fulfill orders.

I received an e-mail from BB telling me the dock was backordered. Nothing for the prime itself. I assume it will be shipped on the 18th. I will cancel the dock for special reasons if it doesnt ship until then.

Why not post this under BestBuy thread!? Seriously, nothing here says that the docks are delayed any more than Prime itself is delayed due to big amount of pre-orders.
Also, you gave no details what color dock are you talking about or at what date did you place your order, since Amethyst Gray tablets have also been canceled in number of sellers.
I am talking about the dock. Thats why i started another thread to not create any confusion. Anyway it is grey and ordered the same day with prime. Since i received backorder notice only for the dock i assumed a good news at least for the tablet.

Then clarify in your thread, you make it sound like just because you had your dock canceled by BB that suddenly others won't get it regardless when they ordered, where they ordered or what color
And again, what date did you place your order?

Well then, it does not affect what Asus said in that case. They said that they can barely cover orders placed before December (and Amazon apparently did not keep tabs on their pre-order limits). Seeing delays on orders placed in December, days after delays became known, is not that much of a surprise. I don't think you can order dock or the tablet anywhere without being hit by delays anymore. If you placed your order in November you might have a chance to get the order shipped before Christmas, but that too is (as Amazon has showed) a game of luck.
I ordered my 32gb gray tp and dock on dec 4 from best buy and mine are still scheduled to be delivered on dec 18 for both...I did request next day ups delivery....I wonder if the shipping you select has an effect on the order in which they are fulfilled. I also confirmed my date was solid by calling best buy and asking about the expected release and she told me the same.....good luck everyone

I ordered next day delivery on the 3d and it used say it would be shipped right away, then on the 18th, then I received backordered notices twice, lastly yesterday. I still keep it on my order but I will cancell it on the 18th if my tablet ships alone.

I ordered a champagne dock with my prime on 11/29. My dock's original release date was 12/31, but I received an email two days ago that moved the dock's release date up from 12/31 to 12/19.
So not all docks are on back order. Maybe it is just the grey ones.

I found the dock at Seaboom.com I got mine on order eventhough they estimate a lead time of 3 weeks. Probably be around the time I get Prime. So it should all work out.

I ordered a hard drive from Seaboom on Black Friday. They charged my card and I didn't hear anything for a week. Then I got an e-mail saying it was back-ordered. Five days letter I got an e-mail saying my order was canceled. My credit card just got refunded yesterday. You may want to line up a "Plan B."

Well, just about 5 minutes ago, J&R called me and told me that the 64 GB (Gray) will not be shipped out until January 2012 due to Asus suspending the shipment.
How is it that I keep reading on here that Gamestop would have it available on December 19 ? Why is it that Asus suspend the Prime on some store and not on others? Strange.

None of the "official" ASUS preorder sites took orders on the 64GB version... I'm wondering if I just shouldn't expect this until mid-January. No date in December for a 64GB version seem to be panning out...

Given that Gamestop is listed as an official preorder destination on Asus' website, and J&R is not, I don't find this all that surprising. There is almost certainly an extra middleman distributor supplying stores like J&R, Adorama, and some of the other sites folks have found to order one, but Asus' commitment is to their official preorder outlets, and making sure they have enough stock to fulfill their preorders.
I haven't received a call from J&R yet, but I figure I will. When did you order yours Earthbrain?
This seems to be the trend. Newegg still seems to be on track, as is gamestop. ASUS is funneling the supply into a more focused retail base, and seems to staying true to their main channel partners.
Certainly no doubt at this point that there is a huge shortage of this thing...what concerns me is that there was such a huge initial preorder allocation, and it isn't that they are running out of preorder slots, it's that the stock just isn't appearing in the supply chain...which in the industry usually means a manufacturing issue.
That is of course unless ASUS just grossly underestimated the demand.

Crap. I ordered mine on Sunday, and I got the 32GB flavor which you would think would be in even shorter supply. I guess I'll call them today.
So weird that it seems like my Gamestop preorder is going to be the one that holds up at this point.

I'm not sure this forum and those placing pre-orders is a good indicator for demand. The technophiles here may only represent a tiny percentage of the population. I think we'll find out when they hit Amazon or Newegg if they remain in stock.

I'm skeptical of the huge demand as well. I live in a small twin city situation with about 200,000 people within 2 towns 20 miles apart. Between the two Gamestops in my area that sell tablets (there are 3 or 4 GS's per town) there have only been two preorders. Total. Me and one other guy. I will be interested to see the initial sales numbers on this device. I think overall, to the general public, Android tablets have a bad(cheap) name. At the GS in the town neighboring mine the manager said they are about to quit carrying tablets all together due to low demand.
Don't get me wrong though. I think this tablet should be creating some demand and likely will once more normal people see it. I have just not been convinced of it's huge preorder demand as of yet.

They don't really seem to know and in fact got their colors wrong on initial pre-orders. Anyway, they claim they are a big retailer and that's true so they expect first availability. I think it is encouraging that they were told a date by Asus for their in stock date.

When my order got canceled on amazon, same day as everyone and I ordered on the 22nd also, I came and order at JR that evening using google checkout. They still haven't called me saying they've canceled. Any chance I'm going to get a 32gb champagne gold? Should I call them and check the date? I don't have much faith in this order.
Yesterday, I put in a preorder at a gamestop location. They say that they are one of the location receiving the prime and I was the first one to preorder at that location. They said that they didn't have any in stock yesterday but expecting to arrive before 19th. I think they only have the 32gb grey. I'll settle for that if I have to. Would like to get what I wanted from JR to avoid tax also, but not getting a good feeling. I've got so many stuff canceled on me this holiday I'm getting pissed.

absolutely... as a matter of fact, no one knows about the TP outside the usual geek crowds... i mean, there are no advertisements for the damn thing, so what do you expect, right? haha... contrary to that fact, there are all these shortages and some whack shipment schedules... some sketchy sh!t, that's for sure...

I originally pre-ordered on Sunday the 4th, but it sounds like they won't get any stock until the new year, no matter when you got your order in.

I just got off the phone with J&R, and she told me they expect a shipment around December 15th. I ordered a 32GB Grey on Friday the 2nd.
I wonder if the person I spoke with is misinformed? Or perhaps my order will be fulfilled by an earlier shipment than yours would have been? Now I'm a little worried, haha...

If it's important to you, I would hedge my bets and get in the car. The guy I spoke with made it sound as if the Primes in general wouldn't show up until the new year, not that my Prime wouldn't show up until then.
Can't hurt to hang on to your preorder, but I don't think you should count on it at this point.
On your orders page, did it say that it will arrive after the 25th, or did it say something else before you got the notice?

Mine is already in transit, got shipping number. Used one day shipping. Amazon sent it by FedEx. It will arrive on the 19th.

Now you're just being paranoid. Of course it needs to be signed for. That is why I had it sent to my girlfriend who signed for it. You do know you can choose to send orders on Amazon to other people?
As for the tracking info being anonymous - that it just plain wrong. That includes the name of the person signing for the package.
*I forgot to mention: this is the 32gb champagne version

I really think Asus is doing some quiet back tracking and recalling a lot of these tablets that was sent to US.
This would explain why the local Best Buy's in my area were quite confident that they're shipment was going to be here by the 19th and soon changed their tune to that they didn't know how soon they would get them and that they were suppose to get them earlier but Asus pulled their shipment and they've pulled their new shipment.
I really think that story from Canada about the faulty Primes were true and Asus is being super hush about it with in regards to the US.
This is why there have been so few sold here following the launch.

I assume they figure early adopters wouldn't give a crap. Which they rarely do. I'm just glad we're going to get a next rev tablet. Maybe we'll see an improvement. Maybe they'll carve a hole out of that aluminum slab to fit a proper antenna.

OK guys, amazon messed us up big time. So what I suggest we all do is, wait for them to credit us the 10 dollar they promised and then cancel any orders you have with them and go to another place.
I mean I got my prime from gamestop last night, but still have 2 on preorder from amazon. They got the nerve to send us an email and say we can preorder again and we waited til midnight to do it, and we got the same date as people ordering much later. That's so not right. You'd think they would have it sooner. So by friday you all should be getting the 10 dollar amazon promised. If not call them and as soon as you get it. Drop the preorder.

WoW, if they don't tell you early they are not informing you and if they wait till the last minute they aren't being honest.
Curious to know, were you planning on buying 2 preorders from Amazon or were you going to cancel one or both so they would have to change their inventory allotment again for distribution of preorders? (hint about wherein lies at least part of the problem)

I originally ordered only one from amazon, but seeing as they can flip out and cancel you anytime I thought it would be safe to pick one of each just in case. You see how they perpetuated the problem?

Ok, interesting response. Did Amazon cancel your preorder? Also you addressed my second statement but not my first. This is curiousity only on my part. I originally posted because of what BB just anounced this evening and I was thinking about it in comparison to Amazon letting people know earlier than 3 days before Christmas. To answer your question I don't see how they perpetuated a problem. Which problem are you refering to?

Amazon also said that it was an accident... I'm not on either side here as I already know I'm probably not getting one til next year but I want correct things being argued over. If there is going to be one there might as well be a good one Although you did say curious so I guess it's really not an argument.... hmmmmmmm

To answer your number 2 question. I order 2, but intend on only keeping one, whichever was available first. At that point I also rushed to preorder at other sites because I had only originaly ordered one from amazon. Seeing as how amazon canceled my order and seeing how there is delays everywhere, I decited to order from several different places hoping that I would get one of them. You see, if Amazon would keep my ONE order, I would not have to run all over the place ordering everywhere else, including reordering 2 from amazon hoping to get one. It turns out that I did get one from gamestop, which now will force me to cancel both amazon orders. You think I like buying from gamestop? I hate them, and I also hate paing taxes. I could have saved by buying from amazon, which I want to, but they have failed me and they failed again on the second preorder sending me back to the end of the line.

I thought Newegg was a big Asus dealer? Way it sounds, I am assuming not.
I have been told that they were receiving shipments on December 27 for pre-orders. Then it was pushed to today. Now I am being told that within the next two business weeks, they will be receiving confirmation of when they will receive more.
I guess on the bright side, no one else is getting them either, but doesn't sound like NE got that many to begin with.
Today mine got to the office depot warehouse after ordering on the 20th. 1/5 delivery date. I had been checking up on new egg as well and they never have any updates.

According to them for circumstances beyond their control, they never got them. They will know within 2 weeks when they supposed to get more.
The only reason I am sticking with Newegg is I have a $300 and some change credit.
I might the bullet and pre-order somewhere else and play the waiting game

Preordered the Prime on 12/07, 32G Grey.
Was first told Dec 27, they would have some to ship for preorders. Was then told January 3.
I called them today and was told that they will have confirmation of receiving more within next two weeks.
Hung up the phone and went to Newegg less than 5 minutes after my call and low and behold the 32G grey and champagne was in stock ready to order. And they had a limited offer of a free Asus Carrying case as well.
Ordered and have been charged and is currently in packaging status.
I am pissed because the preorder people have been hung out to dry. Should not be able to just go to site and order if preorders have not been fulfilled.
Did anyone else get a free carrying case as well? My order doesn't show it, but it was there and I will raise hell if I don't get it after what we have been through.
