Done.
does anyone know how can I fix the problem? thanx!!
(sorry for my bad english)
How did you flash the recovery?
What steps?
Did you flash a kernel with CWM recovery?
Not sure of exactly what you did, phone into download mode and try flash any CWM root kernel with Odin.
Many custom kennels around and also Chainfire CF-root kernel here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...HIJKL*, KP1/2/4/8/A, LA2, LP1/2 -su+bb+CWM4/5
This will give back you CWM recovery, and then you can factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik.

This is was asked yesterday... search?!!?
Flash a new kernel etc with odin = solved
just format it from your pc os.
if you have windows right click on internal sd card (phone) and format!

- I follow the instruction in this thread "Repartition media and data partitions on Nook Tablet"
-Then, i boot in CWM recovery, install rom from zip file, this rom
-When it done, i choose Wipe data/factory resest, it show:
Wiping data...
formatting /data...
formatting /cache...
formatting /sd-ext...
E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2
formatting /sdcard/ .android_secure...
data wipe complete
-then I reboot system, NT always boot in CWM (with or without SD card)
-cause everything seem normal, but this line: E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2, do I have any chance to fix it?
Thanks all!
It is normal don't worry we all have and it doesn't harm your device

I am having the same issue and cannot get my nook to get beyond the CWM screen. The question: Has a solution to this been identified?
Thanks.
When you boot into recovery try wiping data to factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache. Then install the ROM from the SD card afterwards.

Can't Restore from Nandroid --- Damn u r so ****ed.
Is it possible to make UPDATE.zip (Stock Rom of XOLO Q700) from NANDROID.
Thats the only way i see to restore your phone or a custom rom will do the trick but there isn't any rom available at present.
By the way what is the error you get when tryin to restore from nandroid.

Tried to load q800 rom. Ok did it say installation complete or some error again. If installation was completed but phone is dead then---
Try to install recovery for q800 may be that'll work.
As you don't need to turn on ur phone for installing recovery(at least for q700 ) u dont.
Now if recovery is installed then try to use that nandroid backup of q700.
BUT FOR THIS TO WORK RECOVERY FOR Q800 must work.
So keep ur fingers crossed and try it.
rename the backup to "nandroid.md5" it worked for me one time...
Hi guys, looks like im back with another rom / storage problem, and its really bugging me. PLEASE HELP!!!
Ok, stock sam firmware is fine, cm 9 is fine, anything higher or lower boot loops and / or doesn't have internal storage. I flash recovery 4.x.x.x (CWM) Through rom manager, (Allows me to reboot into it, but volume up power and home gives stock recovery) I flash a rom in this way:
Wipe data
wipe cache
install zip
reboot
sometimes, i will also wipe dalvik / battery stats
In cm 10 recovery it says warning no file contexts
when I format preload in cwm-based recovery v6.0.4.5
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /devblock/mmcblk0p12
Error formatting preload!
I also get this in cwm-based recovery v6.0.4.5
E:Can't mount /storage/sdcard0
Error mounting /storage /sdcard0!
in earlier versions of recovery, both sd cards show up on my mac after turn on usb storage, but when i flash cwm-based recover v6.0.4.5 it only shows external
when I flash cm10.2 / 10.1 i get bootloop. I flash kitkat rom after, and it boots, but recovery and rom cannot access internal, sometimes external storage. I really dont know why.
i am sorry its all a bit messy, but I just wanted to tell you guys everything
Please help guys

Hi there,
I've just flashed SlimKat to my GT-i9300 along with the Slim_AIO_gapps.4.4.2.build.3 file from the website
However after a few attempts of reflashing it, formatting cache etc from CWM recovery the gapps never show when I've booted into the ROM
Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
Cheers

Yes exactly, I followed the instructions from SlimROM website, I am using CWM recovery 6.0.4.5 touch
Flashed ROM then flashed Gapps AIO but no gapps appear in ROM after flashing...
Am trying to flash ROM again following these steps:
The first thing to do is to make sure you have the latest recovery installed.
Note that recommended recovery (CWM or TWRP) varies from device to device so make sure you check our forums for your device's thread and install the recommended recovery stated in the OP. The easiest way to flash the recovery is to either use Goo Manager app for TWRP or Rom Manager app for CWM.
Download latest SlimKat and latest gapps and put on your sd card.
You’ll find the latest SlimKat for your device here.
And look for the latest SlimKat gapps here.
Reboot to recovery.
In recovery make a full wipe as per these instructions:
In CWM perform wipe data/factory reset and in mounts and storage section format system.
In TWRP choose advanced in wipe section and wipe dalvik cache, cache, system and data.
Flash SlimKat rom zip.
Flash SlimKat gapps zip.
Reboot, setup and enjoy.
But receive this message in CWM:
--- Wiping data...
Formatting /data...
Error mounting /data!
skipping format...
Formatting /cache...
Formatting /sd-ext...
Formatting /sdcard/.android_secure...
Error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
Skipping format...
Data wipe complete.
Formatting /system...
E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/blo
ck/mmcbl0p13
Error mounting /system!

My fault, I was using an old version of CWM (i could only find old 6.0.4.5 flashable file) which was the issue, I then followed a guide how to convert the .img file to .tar.md5 then flashed via Odin. Then install worked fine no problems.
Thanks for your help
Hi all,
I hope you can help me to solve this issue.
I was trying to flash my TF201 and now it is stuck in Flatline CWM recovery mode. I mean, i can select "reboot system now" but it directly reboot in recovery. I don't have the choice between recovery, Android or Wipe.
In recovery, i got those messages :
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't mount sdcard
I can't install zip from sdcard or use fastboot.
Is there any advice for my situation ?
Thx in advance.
Did you try in Flatline,
Wipe menu -> Advanced wipe,
select cache partition -> Format -> Ext4
Same for SDcard/Internal memory partition
Keep in touch
Hi djibe89,
Thank you for your answer.
In flatline, i don't have a Wipe Menu. In the main menu,i only got these "wipe" options :
- ...
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- ...
When i do "wipe data/factory reset"!
--Wiping data...
Formatting /data...
Error mounting /data!
Skipping format...
Formatting /cache...
E:format_volume:make_ext4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
Formatting /sd-est...
Formatting /sdcard/.android_secure...
Error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
Skipping format...
Data wipe complete.
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:caon't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
When i do "wipe cache partition" :
Formatting /cache...
E:format_volume: make_ext4fs failes on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
Cache wipe complete.

I've used *minimal adb and fastboot* to bring my bricked TF201 back from the dead, after wiping the TF you install the correct TWRP and then boot into it and flash the ROM.

Ths for your reply Nektopoli.
How can i install TWRP as i can't do anything in flatline as i explain it before ?
I used minimal adb and fastboot installed on a Win 7 laptop and sent the command in the think to the TF201 that way.
I'm using KANG's TWRP 3.1.0-1 to do all my backups and installs (I'm flashing 7.1.2_023 right now)
NP
You manage tu push adb commands while the TF is in recovery mode ?
I thought it must be in ADB mode to do so ?
is you recovery more functioning?
Try sending it the ABD reboot command and see if it will follow.
NP
The "adb reboot" command worked.
What can i do to save my tablet ?
