I bought an Atrix in Taiwan so I assumed it had the HKTW rom, there is only Chinese and English available as the locales. But my build number reads 4.5.2A74_OLH-25, isn't that the ORFR version?

Hey guys, new here and I just got my brand new HTC Hero

Apparently the store I got it from bought it off Asia since when I first booted it I was asked to choose from Malaysia, Vietnam and some other country and further more I have checked and saw that my ROM version is:
2.73.728.5
which I read somewhere comes on Asia phones, I understand that there is another version: 2.73.405.38.
It also appears as the official version on the HTC site and I some guides all referring to 2.73.405.38 and not my version, also some apps like the market seem to have trouble with it.
My question is:
Is it ok to install the 2.73.405.38 version instead of my current one?
I could not find a changelog, are there any differences between those version except for Asia .vs. Europe?
If I choose to install is it the same process as any other rom upgrade (since this is actually a downgrade)?
Does it have any effect on my location? If I'm in Europe and use an Asian ROM instead of the European one?
I guess what I'm asking is, is there a point in changing the ROMs?

My model doesnt seems to support chinese character locally... Is there any Chinese Language Support pack that I can install for i9100? I can install Chinese IME but I cant seems to be able to read SMS received in Chinese....
Or do I have to flash it with a ROM that supports chinese character locally?

try DXKI2. it has chinese in swype and diopen ime preinstalled
Try flashing one of the Asia region firmwares, either DX for Southeast Asia or ZS for HK/Taiwan.
SMS support also depends on your phone carrier. If the Asia firmware doesn't work, then it's because your phone carrier isn't supporting the correct SMS encodings.

what i'm trying to ask is i'm from australia and due to some issues i have flashed to the UK version.
on my AUS version i got an OTA which improves camera and gave a game bewjeweled 2.
however on the UK i have there are no updates, so does that mean i either already have it? or ota is not available for UK yet?

Ive installed 4.0.3 (xxLPQ) the polish version, im on O2 in the u.k. and was wondering what, if anything, i would gain by installing the O2 version or open u.k. version of 4.0.3 when its released? the polish version ive got on there now works fine, but just wondered if its better to have the proper u.k. version on there or not?

How do I know whether a ROM has Asian languages available?
Do all ICS Roms include Asian languages?
Does this Rogers leaked ICS Rom have Chinese available?
