Help! - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

My Xperia Neo V does not turn on, just shows Sony Ericsson and is always doing a loop trying to start.
I've tried hard reset in 3 ways:
Volume Up + Power
Volume Down + Power
Back + Menu + Power
None of them worked.
I've tried using the PC Companion software to update, but nothing done with phone turned off.
I've tried installing a new kernel, but the phone is not recognized.
I do not know what I can do.
Is there any way to access the system folders in the internal memory via PC without turning the phone on?
Does anyone have an idea?

Hi,
This is my suggestion:
first download FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick
http://www.multiupload.com/Q103V01CV1
Follow instructions (if u familiar with updating with sony ericsson pc companion, this u can do)
Turn of phone, do not connect get.
Simple, start FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick, click flash. Choose loader.sin on the right. Then click OK,
Hold in back button while Now connect phone with usb cable.
See its flashing, wait till it's done, unplug phone,. try to boot up phone.
Hope it helps. Helped me when i play to much with phone and brick it.

Thanks for the help, but I have my bootloader locked.
Instead I used SEUS and managed to reinstall the software.
Now I have to root again, but at lest the phone is back
Thanks for the help

The main reason for me not to unlock bootloader is to keep warranty.
Now that I have my phone back, sure it is going to be a great weekend

[SOLVED] Xperia NEO Bricked and without flash mode

Hi,
I tried to upgrade mi xperia neo to Tweake 1.0 with the recovery, and now dont start.
When i power the phone or plug the charger appears the Sony Ericcson logo and continues there all time.
I can´t enter in flash mode (son i can´t use seus or flash tool), always appears other time the sony ericsson logo.
The bootloader is closed.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Are you sure that you are doing the correct procedure to use flash mode on the phone? Here it is:
1. Turn off the phone.
2. Remove the battery for at least 10 seconds.
3. Insert the battery again.
4. Press and hold the "back" button on the phone.
5. While still holding the "back"button pressed connect the phone with teh usb cable to the pc. Flashtool should now recognize the phone.

Really bricked phone

Hi,
I would like to ask you for advice before throwing my X10 mini away and buying something else.
I have had MiniCM7 installed for a very long time (more than a year), and upgraded to all versions without any problem. Today I installed MiniCM9 3.0.2, but I decided to reinstall MiniCM7 because of some problems detected with this version, so I went to SEUS, downgraded to 2.1.1.A.0.6, installed BusyBox, xMiniRecovery, root and flashed MiniCM7 2.2.0 and gapps. I have done it quite a lot of times before.
But, when I tried to reboot onto MiniCM7 2.2.0, my phone was stuck onto Sony Ericsson logo. Here's what I did:
1) Ok, Home+Power and reenter into recovery by pressing back key. No, no luck, it doesn't enter into any recovery.
2) B plan, I'll go to SEUS again. Home+Power, connect USB and keep back key pressed. Nothing, SEUS doesn't recognize anything, but Companion does activate a little popup on my Windows, as if it detects my phone plugged into my computer. No red, yellow, or green lights in the phone.
3) C plan. Flash kernel directly. I downloaded kernel from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17674938#post17674938 and used FlashTool. But, again, when I press Home+Power, connect the USB cable and press back key, it doesn't recognize anything, FlashTool is waiting for me to connect something. Antivirus is disabled.
If I keep back key pressed, no SE logo appears; black screen. If I release back key for a little while, SE logo appears and it gets stuck.
Both if I connect it to the computer or to the power socket, no green/yellow/red led appears.
Does anybody have any idea? Everything (cable and phone) were working wonderfully before flashing 2.1.1.A.0.6 for the last time.
Kind regards,
Jordi
Ok,before u try this u should know it will delete everything of phone memory:apps, contacts, etc.
And it removes root and recovery and phone will be like the day u bought it except that bootloader is not touched if unlocked stays unlocked
TRY AT UR OWN RISK
Steps:
1-download sony erricsson pc companion
2-click support zone and choose software update
3-before clicking continue click on repair phone
4-wait till loads and choose phone type
5-concentrate on this one cuz it has 2 methods
5a:if ur phone doesent restart automaticlly just plug usb in computer first then with phone powered off hold the back button and connect the usb cable only let hold when it says u can
5b:if ur phone DOES restart automaticlly remove battery till u reach this step and put back cover bedside till ur done with this method what were gonna do is when we reach this step we quickly plug battery and before it restarts just hold back and insert usb cable.
6-wait to install
7-congratulations unbricking
8-(optional):click the thanks button :xD

Thank you very much for your quick answer. I had never realized the procedure shown in steps 2-4.
But Companion refuses to install it! "It's impossible to install or setup update components of phone sotfware" grrrrrrrrrrrrr Tomorrow I'll try to get another computer and follow your procedure.
Thank you very much
Always happy to help as ive been in such issues alot

You say you have an X10 Mini, and not an X1O Mini-Pro.
The X10 Mini requires you to run the nAa-kernel in order to run the latest verstion of MiniCM7.
You say you downgraded back to stock firmware and installed MiniCM7 again, did you forget about the kernel?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhh you are right!!!!!!! I have installed kernels and versions a lot of times on my device, and I was so confident of myself that this time I didn't realize I was missing one of the most important steps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So stupid of me.......!!!!!!!
I've tried PC Companion as suggested before, but no way: it doesn't detect the "flash mode" at boot time. I keep pressing Back key and I only get a black screen; when I release Back key, SE logo appears and gets stuck forever. It doesn't matter if I try SEUS, PCCompanion or FlashTool, it's always the same. I can't shut it down, just restart over and over again via Home+Power.
Does anybody know what can I do?
Kind regards,
Jordi

I do not know what did I do, but by trying for the 1000th time to do the Home+Power+Back key combination with USB connected and keeping Back key pressed, and pressing and releasing it madly afterwards, while FlashTool was waiting for me to flash MiniCM7, FlashTool has reacted!!!!!! It allowed me to install MiniCM7 again!!!
What happened? I do not know, perhaps I pressed Back key just the microsecond that the hardware needed it.
Thank you very much!!!!

Bit more detail how you bricked it installing CWM. What exactly you done and where you get it from.
Try to shut it down, press power + volume up untill you feel (1+) 3 vibrations.
See if you can connect it in flash mode (connect usb to pc while you hold volue down), the led should turn green.

Well.... I was trying to install the new CM 11 Nightly Build - a custom ROM build on Android 4.4.2 KitKat- on my Sony Xperia P device
I had rooted succesfully and was seaching for an app on google play store to provide access to "recovery mode" that works with my LT 22i to finish the installation of this new rom... i tryed lot of apps, but no one worked... and so I've found this app "Recover X" from LEDelete developer.
after install and run, this app show me one option to get access to recovery mode... i dont remember exactly, but i saw somethig like "CMW......" on screen. after download, I tryed to reboot my phone and then its completly dead!! i'd tryed any kind of possibility pressing buttons dowloading softwares and more but my computers didn't recongize it when connect USB cable...
vol+ / power dont work, vol- / usb dont work, no charging indicator, no lights blinks, nothing works! it looks like a motherboard without any operational system...
And I saw in some websites that exist one JIG for Samsung devices that alows recovery phones with problems like mine... so i wonder if is possible to find some JIG for Xperia P or any other possibility of reinstallation of android system
I hope i made myself clear because I'm still learning this language... that means I'm sorry for my bad english in advice...
If there is anything that you can't understand, please let me know
Thank's a lot!
Alex
If you had asked before I would have told you Recovery X won't work, didn't work the 2 times I have tried it, but didn't brick my phone eithr.
To incatal CM you didn't neet to root or install CWM since you need to flash it's kernel anyway.
Is your bootloader unlocked?
Was the phone fully charged when it happened, did it start boot and then died or just went black?
Have you tried to hold the power + volume up for 10-15 minutes?
To reinstall firmware you need flash mode (volume down while connecting to USB), have you flashed with flashtool or PC Companion before?

Yes i had reinstalled twice by flash tool and pc companion, holding vol down while connecting to USB, because the device was with very low performance.
When i was trying to get rebooted on "recovery mode" before the black screen, my battery was on 85%....
Yesterday i tried to do "hard reboot" holding the power + volume up for 50 minutes and nothing....
Actually what i really need is find a way to get some response of the system of this phone (by connecting in some jig, or doing something with the software or even the hardware...), because if my computer recognize the phone, i do believe that i'll can handle with reinstallation... in other words, my challenge now it's only get out from the black screen for any other operational response
One of my ideas is unmount rear cover and try to disconnect the battery cord for 10 minutes and see if something changes... but i'm fully opened to new ideas
I really believe that i'll succeed on this case with yours precious help!!
Thank you again for your assistance!

Xperia Z Ultra Stuck on Sony screen

my xperia device is stuck on the sony logo. wont pass that part. doesn't go into flashmode or fastboot, nothing. what can I do plz I need help. cant use flashmode on the pc as the computer never recognizes the phone bcuz it doesn't go into fastboot mode.
If your phone even starts, then fastboot and flashmode should work just fine. What's the last thing you did before it wouldn't boot?
1. Hold VOL UP while plugging it in the USB on your computer. The LED should get blue
2. Either use fastboot through command-line or use QuickIMG to boot a custom kernel with recovery.
3. Flash or restore a ROM

Do the following exactly as outlined.
1- with the phone DISCONNECTED from your pc or charger, hold the power and up buttons until it vibrates and turns off.
2- open the flashtool and select an ftf to flash, and wait for the message that asks you to connect the phone in flash mode.
3- the phone must still be off. Hold the down button and connect the phone to the usb port in the pc. The flashing will start.
I tried that it goes back to the sony logo.

How did you try to unroot? It's weird if you don't have working fastboot or flashmode, and without those, you're pretty much screwed. Those two should work even if you screw up big-time, like flashing a wrong kernel, but you must have done something weird if they stopped working?
And let me get this straight, you are pressing and HOLDING the volume buttons when you plug it to your computer, right? Make sure that the device is completely off by pressing and holding POWER + VOL UP. It'll vibrate a couple of times. Note that you're not supposed to be connected to the computer, since it'll then just boot again.
Then press and HOLD VOL UP for fastboot (blue LED), OR VOL DOWN for flashmode (green LED flashing shortly)
You probably already know these steps, but we have to make it absolutely certain that it's a hardware issue, and not an issue with the thing you do

I was going to flash the stock rom using flashtool right but everytime i tried to put the phone into fastboot mode it would go to the battery icon. At this point the phone was working fine. But no fastboot mode at all. Then i factory erased the phone through twrp. After that it doesnt boot up. Just sony logo no led lights. Even if i do vol up or down. Straight to the sony logo. Vol up plus power button, vibrates couple of times. I redo the process and it goes back to the sony logo.

The thing is that the screen shouldn't power on when you enter fastboot. The only thing that should go on is the blue LED. I don't use TWRP, and I don't know how it wipes stuff and if it only deletes user data, or if it formats the system. If it does the latter, then it literally wipes the system partition, making it empty, so if you ever format the system, you should flash a new ROM ASAP. A little late for that now though, but I'm still not convinced that fastboot isn't working.
ONE LAST TIME
NOTE: The device should be disconnected from the computer.
1. Turn the device OFF by holding and pressing the POWER button and VOL UP. It should be disconnected from the computer by now. Got it? Nice.
2. Plug the USB-cable in the device first, since it's easier to plug it into the computer. Do not plug it into the computer yet. Only the Ultra.
3. Now HOLD VOL UP. Just hold it in.
4. Stick the USB cable, which is already inside your Ultra, to your computer WHILE still holding VOL UP.
5. The blue LED above the screen should light up now. The display should not power on or anything else. The blue LED is the only thing that should turn on.
Still nothing?

Check whether the drivers have been properly installed in ur PC. If u can't get into flashmode try another system to flash the ftf. Procedure hold volume down while connecting the usb to plug. U will see a green led blink.

The TA partition is where your DRM keys are. It's a good idea to backup those keys in case you want to revert to complete stock in the future, or when you need to send it in for repairs. Unlocking the bootloader will remove the keys, but since your device was - weirdly enough, already bootloader unlocked, I don't think you even had DRM keys to start with, which is again, very weird.
No biggie though. Gone is gone. The reason why PC Companion told you that it's been modified, is because you're rooted, and it knows it, so you'll have to unroot before you update. That's only if you're updating through official channels, but you have a second alternative; Flashtool. It allows you to flash stock Sony ROMs, or FTF-files.
But you're saying that you flashed a stock 6806 ROM now, and that's what? 5.0.2? Why don't you just download the .368-update (Android 5.1.1)? Then you'll be on the latest version.

have my xperia z ultra same error that file will solve i dont know if my sony has unlock bootloader,

Start up stuck on Sony logo.

Hope I've posted this in the right place. I have a strange error with my phone, when I try and turn it on the screen doesn't appear to be on but under some lights you can see the Sony logo. It's stuck like this I've tried using the Xperia companion software to repair the software but it's had no effect. The phone also isn't recognised by my computer or the companion software. It's just out of warranty, so any advice would be most welcome

Hi, try to totally power off your phone (hold vol+ and power for around 8 seconds). Use last Flashtool v0.9.23.2, don't plug the phone, launch the flash (exclude misc TA partitions) and when it ask to plug the phone, hold volume down and plug it. I hope it will recover your phone
