Looks you can fairly easily port over other themes to what ever ROM your running, or mix and match themes

hey I am making a rom for the D2 and it is a still in super early alpha stage and I was wondering if I could use your settings.apk file because I really like the way the icons look with the settings. If I can use the apk I'll mention you in the credits.
After using UOT Kitchen, my lockscreen tabs are messed up. I found the culprit files, jog_tab_bar_right/left_pressed.9.png, and I replaced them with the ones from the stock framework, using apktool, however, the resulting file still had incorrect lockscreen tabs! Can anyone help?

Use apktool 1.3.1. You are probably using 1.3.2.

Ah, thank you, but.. Why?
EDIT: Didn't work
apktool 1.3.2 tends to do such things, there's this weird bug. do a search i'm too lazy to find the link lol.
anyway its probably because the stock framework also has ugly sliding tabs nowadays. get it from an older nightly, it will probably work.
edit: btw, is that the mario live wallpaper? i need to get it again loll lost it a long time ago when i was switching to cm6
I tried with apktool 1.3.1 (All previous versions are on the googlecode page) and it still didn't work :/ And I have the suitable replacement graphics, it's just, it won't stick after I recompile. The Mario live wallpaper is on XDA.
Strange... are you sure you're replacing the right images?
And yup I kno abt the Mario wallpaper

Definitely sure, I replace, compile, decompile, images different
UOT Kitchen for Droid 3
I have a DROID 3 running 5.7.906 ota leak. I'm not a newbie to flashing roms but new to UOT Kitchen. I tried flashing a UOT Kitchen zip and got install aborted code zero. Will UOT not work with this version of android? I've done a search on this and didn't find anything. I hope this is the right place for this post, if not I'm sorry. Any help will be appreciated.
I wanted to thank the ones that made this possible,

Dude! I'm actually thinking you may see way too much of me! Lol This whole community is foreign to me, with regards to how things are done. Its a whole new language being spoken here, with different apps, recoveries and methods of installation.
Hey, Reign, I got her rooted and was finally able to get a rom flashed. I took a cue from your theme and went with Eclipse. I'm enjoying it so far. I noticed you specified bootstrap for flashing this theme. Is there a way around that or, would I absolutely have to swap recoveries? Also, I was wondering what other roms you may recommend as bringing something unique to the table. I know this is off topic. Sorry about that. Honestly though, this is a beautiful theme and I think it deserves a bump, no matter the reason for it.

It says all free downloads are in use what gives I'd love to try this theme any suggestions?

hey i like that circle clock
is it possible that i get that clock only?
Okay I've been browsing threads for a while and I'm still so completely confused.
I rooted my first device ever, Nexus 4 and installed a custom kernel.
So I'm trying to figure out how to theme my phone while remaining on stock ROM...Why? Well I like the stock ROM and don't see a reason to switch really. Everything runs smoothly...
I've discovered some apps:
1. Metamorph
2. ZipThemer
3. Xposed framework with xtheme engine
So I tried out xthemes but I've found that the themes I like do not theme the dialer or system colours or just leave bits and pieces unthemed.
For example when using Simplex theme nearly everything is themed but not the blue accents for my contacts headings and dailer like so:
{

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It's really bothersome to me who wants a very streamlined experience.
I want my numbers and all that blue to appear white or whatever colour.
Onto Zipthemer...so this should work so can I make those changes but I have no idea how. I don't know how to even find themes for this or what zips work. Can I flash a cm theme? Can I pick any morph file? I'm confused and what actually works. I know the how to thread said you can use any zips or morphs but can you?
Metamorph...again I don't know how to make those changes. I've searched xda but I'm still unsure on what to do. Are morphs mostly for ui elements rather than whole themes? Can I use morphs alongside xthemes or do they override. My xtheme isn't theming the elements o want themed so I can't imagine that being a problem.
Can the changes I require be only done on deodexed ROM? Does zipthemer or metamorph work on odexed? I know custom Roms are normally deodexed hence built in theming...
Is all this too much trouble and should I just install a custom ROM?

hey so i have the T-Mobile Galaxy s5
there isn't to many downloadable mods out there at this time, I'm sure it's because it's still fairly new
among the mods i usually like to add to my phone that i have had to make on my own is a Launcher mod
i usually have it setup as a 4X5 grid size, page indicators at the bottom & no wallpaper scrolling
I don't know how to mod apks but i read a tutorial on how to do it and as i looked for the SecLaucher3.apk file on my phone it was nowhere to be found
please let me know if you know where it is or if your willing to help with the apk modding

Decompile it first using apktool or something like it then you can edit the png or the value files in /values of the APK. I'm not going to explain all this in this thread, but there are multiple tutorials on how to decompile apks and mod them.
