Power off lock - Optimus One, P500, V General

I was wondering, is there an app that makes you key in a password or something before it lets you switch off your phone? That would be very nice and useful
Sent from awesomeness.

I do need too such app if i get stolen the robber can, reset my phone and my phone will not be tracked.

I did thought about that and i concluded a experienced robber can install a rom and deactivate it
There are some apps that can lock acces to other apps with password and pattern.Personally i have Setting blocked and other apos that could brick my phone if left in bad hands.

[Q] phone services.

Is there anyway to take off the cell parts of the phone so its only WiFi. The reason I ask is cause this phone has no service and I saw in the battery area that the cell standby is second on the list. So just asking if I can use like ROM toolbox to freeze it or remove the cell phone parts of it.

Even if it's on airplane mode?
You can purposefully break the software by deleting the /radio/modem.bin. It will then no longer have any service.

Huge resource hog. As for protection, hard to say, there aren't many Trojans or whatever out there yet.

Is that what you'll tell Verizon when you need to make a warranty claim? If so, I'll keep that one in mind.

In all reality unless you're downloading a bunch of random stuff there's no need for it. I personally have never used it or had a virus. I see them as resource hogs in all reality, but to each their own.

I can verify that Avast is a nice antivirus on Android, It is completely free (no subscriptions) and has a built in Anti-Theft which is one of the best on android (On par with Cerberus) and is also completely free.
Webroot is awesome. 3 pc's and 2 mobile protections in one box. It even has its own secure browser for mobile. I highly recommeend it

I use the free version of Lookout, and I agree with others that Avast is another good one.
I use avg antivirus all the time on my android devices. It scans nearly all of my downloads.

Well you can still color me skeptical. A screenshot of a lockscreen could be anything. Especially when you mention what's not working: "everything". I'm not trying to dissuade him from working on it if he indeed is, I'm just not excited about a phone pic of another phone sitting at idle lockscreen. He could have ported the next super computer for all I know.
I will apologize for my skepticism later if it proves unfounded, I promise.

I'd say maybe once every week or two weeks, I'd do it daily, but my laptop can only hold so much
Then again, I build stuff pretty randomly, so you might get 2 a week here, 1 a week there, so we'll see

How much can it hold? Even my laptop has 2 1tb HDD. And its a awesome cheap one at that.
The real question how much space do you need, to do several updates? And keep them all from start to current?

Well, UEFI was a jerk, so I had to use Builduntu. And the Builduntu maker max's out the max amount of memory you can give it to 100 gigs.
Mahdi itself is maybe 35
And each of the model builds in about 20 and then (somehow) turns itself into a 200mb zip
I can hold 2 at once since system takes up 9gb
So... Yeah
And I promised the CFX people I would work on that too and CFX took up a buttload of data
So when I do that, expect maybe a week or two with no new builds, and then once I'm done with that, I'll make it for the variants and then get back to Mahdi, and then some HellKat

No problem, but this whole thing with the kernel and no LED and no pocket mode is driving me nuts, I'm gonna switch kernels until it gets resolved. Geespr gets dailys since I know what's wrong, and can find how to fix it. All the stuff on the variants depends on you guys
