Hello, I will be getting an Aria soon and was wanting to put the froyo rom on it. My question is, is it necessary to update the kernel and the radio or should the rom work fine without doing those?

The ROM includes those both so you should have no problem by just flashing a new ROM. I personally recommend you go for the FR008 Deodexed ROM.
Thanks, that is the ROM I am going to use.
I used Sense UI for about 6 months before I got fed up with it. I have CyanogenMod 6.1.1 Liberty on my Aria with the Gingerbread theme and LauncherPro as my default launcher. Love it. So much quicker, customizable, and efficient. Battery life has improved tremendously since switching to all this.
I like the look of HTC Sense
i know there is a thread with a comprehensive list on what to freeze in Titanium Backup in the Atrix Dev. Forums, however, that list was compiled for froyo (2.2.x) I have noticed that there quite a few different processes/services/etc. in all gingerbread ROMS. anyone have any suggestions on what NOT to freeze. i am going to freeze everything I can find in froyo freeze/debloat thread, but i wanted to see if anyone else running a gingerbread rom and using TB to freeze had any suggestions.
I am a newby in galaxy/android development / usage, so be easy on me
My Galaxy S2 currently runs CM7, Android 2.3.7.
I tried getting a new ROM by my own from these forums but it started crushing and wouldn't open any app so I restored back to CM7...
Would appreciate if anyone can link me or guide me through a stable release of ICS...
I have my apps backed up using Titanium Backup, as well as frequent backups using ROM Manager.
Thanks!
Alex

Hello, first sorry for my bad English.
I'm developing applications for Android and I used my Galaxy S2 as an emulator.
Recently installed MIUI v4 ICS (ROM 2.4.13 R2) and it works great except for programming.
I haven't gotten back to use it as an emulator using Eclipse or Netbeans. I imagine this is a bug. Has anyone tried it?
I want to use my Smartphone to schedule and I intend to reinstall official version.
What steps should I take to move from ROM MIUI to "Official" ROM?
Due to some weird reasons i need a completely stock rooted rom, just like Santod's current ICS rom here, but GB. I havent been able to find one with a working link. Any help would be great. The next best thing would be a GB rom with the original sense and phone settings.
2.11.605.19 stock rooted rom
