I flashed Joelz ICS Alpha X ROM and now my physical buttons are having problems, I've tried flashing other ROMs and nothings working. I wanted to flash back to stock and see if I can use my insurance at Sprint to fix it. I would like to keep it since it was a launch day phone, but if it doesn't work it doesn't work.

You need the stock recovery zip. Flash that then you would need the latest 2.17 PC86IMG.ZIP use it then do the fastboot oem lock and your good to go.
Ummm, just download the zip for the stock rom, and flash it.

Thanks, but should I be flashing the kernel (through flash image GUI) than reboot to recovery and re-flash it, then flash ROM, or flash them both through Flash Image GUI then recovery... I haven't really flashed them separately before

I see a few threads around for doing this on hboot 1.5 but they all seem to have different instructions. Can you provide detailed instructions on how to do this? Here's what I get from this but not sure if it's right.
1) Download stock recovery zip
2) reboot into fastboot USB and boot the customer recovery.img (This will get you into CWM with full access to write)
3) Manually flash the recovery zip.
*these next steps are where I get iffy*
4) Manually flash the PC86IMG.ZIP while in the same CWM session? Or Place is on the SDcard and then what?
5) then relock using the fastboot command above.
Please let me know, especially about #4.

As title says i want to know how to boot my Main ROM, i installed Boot manager and on one slot i installed MIUI, after that i tried to go to my main rom with no success, its still on MIUI, Boot manager is not working properly, when i select boot phone rom nothing happens. Idk how to go back now. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Try two things.
1. Try to reinstall boot manager in miui rom and then try to boot to phone rom.
2. You can flash the update.zip file in the phone rom folder on recovery. Then reboot those should boot you into the phone rom.

ok first even boot manager tells you that you should have s-off for this to work properly.... and it would work you will just have to manually flash the boot.img's to the rom you want to load

This is correct, you need to fastboot to recovery then flash the phone Rom update.zip. that's the only way for s-on'ers to flash to boot from recovery.

I have been s-off since the downgrade was discovered so I don't know about smartflash but I do use 4ext. And I feel like I'm intruding on wloftus because he has you dilemma figured out, but here's what I'd do. Sorry wloftus.
Fastboot boot "anyrecovery.img" and flash the phone Rom update. You can flash 4ext, cwm or twrp. It doesn't matter that 4ext is installed on the phone, it won't hurt if you boot a different recovery from fastboot. 4ext will still be there when you regular boot to recovery. I've done this many times with twrp installed and fastbooted to cwm.
Edit... You said you reinstalled meanrom, if you had a custom kernel installed to it when u set up phone Rom then the update.zip might not get you back to meanrom. If you had the stock kernel for meanrom then the update should work.

This is what i did:
1. adb reboot bootloader.
2. fastboot boot recovery.img(TWRP 1.1)
3. Install ZIP(MeanROM 3.92 with ziggy)
Should it work? It is installing the ZIP right now
EDIT: It is working. At least i have now the boot animation from MeanROM. It is booting. I promise i wont use Boot Manager again.

Yeah, that should overwrite the boot image that's taking you to miui and get you back to your phone Rom.
For future reference you shouldn't ever have to reflash a whole Rom just to get back to the phone Rom. As wloftus said earlier, the phonerom update just wasnt sticking because you are s-on. I'm sure this can be done with smart flash but I don't know how. Next time just fastboot to recovery and flash the update.
Edit... Dude, boot manager is da bomb. I used it for 6 months with s-on and never had this issue. Just a lil hiccup for you, now you know how to fix it.

I don't think you need to run an ruu to get the stock recovery back. search and you should be able to find a download link to get the stock recovery and you can just flash that with adb/fastboot.

For stock recovery and latest ruu firmware: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...ull-ruu-build-4-03-605-2-for-the-htc-rezound/
Once you download, copy to root of micro sdcard, and rename to PH98IMG.zip
Then boot into bootloader, and it should detect it and flash automatically. note it has to flash twice. You must say yes, It will look like it rest and restarted, but it's normal.
Don't forget to delete or rename it after your done or

Make sure you are bootloader unlocked. (im assuming so. Load to your ROM and install flash gui form the market. Then download desired rom and place on sd card. Once you have done that, open the downloaded rom with flash gui and it will install the kernel, then go into twrp recovery and flash rom. if you dont have twrp 2.2+ recovery, search how to install it. you already have root so it should not be a problem
I assume you have gotten yourself stuck. Assuming it is a stock ROM and you have aosp currently, you could 1.flash back and use flash GUI, 2. flash back and use htc dumlock, or 3. you could unzip the ROM package you are trying to flash and copy the boot image to adb tools and with the phone in fastboot, flash it using the command fastboot flash boot boot.img

I would like to download CM9 for my HTC Rezound S-ON. I have read through the Mega thread dedicated to it ( [ROMs][10/1/2012] CyanogenMod 9 [MEGATHREAD][CDMA] ) and have downloaded the CM9 zip and GAPPS zip but when I go to download the S-ON boot.img it says that it has either been removed or moved. I read through the entire thread and there was one update done but that download also has been removed. Without this download I cannot get CM9.
Could someone please let me know if I am misunderstanding this thread or provide me with the proper place to download it from. I am new to XDA however, my phone is rooted and flashed recovery Arom RA and I previously had an HTC Incredible rooted, flashed and had CM7.2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.I can tell by the threads and posts the time and work that the developers take when creating these different ROMS.
Thank you

Take the boot.img that is inside the cm9 .zip you downloaded and flash it in HBOOT with fastboot
Like Fly wrote, extract the boot.img from the cm9.zip, then zip the boot.img and name it PH98IMG. Place the PH98IMG.zip file on your SD card. Flash the ROM, then go into the bootloader and run fastboot.
Or, download CounterShrike, that's the only ROM that worked for me and S-on. You still have to go into the bootloader, but this ROM's installer places the file for you.

HBoot 1.49.1107, S-Off. I was thinking of going that way, but that seems too much of a hassle for something that could be simply downloaded.

Thanks, I'll try this out right now.
Edit: I ended up flashing with fastboot, then installing an older version of the ROM, then installing recovery from the app and only THEN the ROM version I wanted. Apparently the latest version required the most recent 4ext, I'm dazed and confused but everything is working now.
Haven't used the phone for an year or so, restoring some old SMS messages out of the nandroid backup brought up some memories. Now I'll be using it to test my mobile app. Thanks again!
now that you can boot your rom, download 4ext Recovery Updater and update to latest version of 4ext from there
