I was wondering why the stock battery was going far beyond 50 degress when overclocking. So I bought a battery over EBAY.
DISCLAIMER! IM NOT ADVERTISING ANYTHING. THIS IS SOLELY MY EXPERIENCE WITH A NON STOCK BATTERY!
Just had the battery for some hours. Not fully loaded. But I get only 27 degress under stability test. Not bad actually. And the phone doesnt get hot.
Try out yourself. Will do a following up with drain and capabilites these days.
Chinafake! This battery has never 2430MAh.
Never stated nor defending this product. Im just telling what the product says. I dont know own nor have a device to measure such claims.
Im just telling that for now Im glad my phone is not going over 30 degrees when heavy overclocking my ACTIVE. Until now Im having good battery times. Tried several EP500 stock batteryes and all when rancid passing the 50 degree marker.
Our phone are chinese assembly so Im not worried with a scam battery from china.
I bought once that bat for my Samsung i900
so they are same !
in stock battery was 1400 ( i dont remember ) and there 2430 gold battery , no diference the same time of working without charging.
Well allready knew it before I bought it.
And I will say this. Its as good as the stock in termes of drainages and times up on battery. With the slightly difference, it doesnt go past 30 degree no matter what you do, so here my knowlegde is null. So by not heating nor generating heat it do deliver when asked.
Good looking, nice cooled but nothing new.
friend's tip
before buying that, i asked my friend is it safe or will it work properly? he just said i bought it few months ago, now it's totally spoiled. that's why i didn't go through that kind of stuff
Considering
I'm sorry, I didn't catch it very clear. I'm considering this battery from eBay and I have a question.
- Is it last longer than Sony EP500's default battery?
- Is it going to damage my phone?
- Is it going to damage me?
- Since I won't buy the expensive default anyway, is selecting higher capacity a better choice?
- How is it now, the one that you bought?
Thank you in advance

When it's spoiled, was the phone damaged?
is fake or not?
I think a battery with twice would have to be bigger!
try 1300mAh EP500 I think this is true!

Likely fake, because of the size.
1300mAh doesn't give much more juice, so I better don't waste money on it.
My phone also heats up under heavy usage... so what do you think?? Battery is the culprit??
Sent from my Xperia Mini using xda premium
fake.

Hi I bought a 2400 mAh (EP500)
buena bateria pero se calienta
good experience is good in terms of duration but the downside of it is that hot and when it reaches 67 degrees Celsius the phone is turned off ... you have to wait to cool and turn it on because at that temperature you off again ..
regards
Ep 500 Gold 2430mAh
I just want to share my experience about this product
The battery physical appearance is very good but their very major problems in performance such as
1)This battery never got 100% charged by whatever means i.e AC charging or USB charging
2)The temperature is very high and this makes the device to misbehave
3)The battery drains faster than is original 1200mAh which is a very big question because as it calming to be twice powerful than original one i.e 2430mAh
By everything about this product I personally don't recommend this to anyone
If u anyone would help me to troubleshoot these problems it would be really appreciated,
Kindly get me at [email protected]
i had ep500 gold battery, i thought the performance similiar like original battery, 2430mAh is fake:silly:
That's fantastic. I love big capacity battery for long time !

if it's an original one, then yes. if it's some custom battery you found on eBay, then don't bother.

Hello all,
I just bought the 1350 mAh battery from Amazon, but when I opened it I got a little concerned: The battery is half the size in length, and a bit thicker than the original. Moreover, it is a bit wider, making me wonder whether it can fit inside the battery compartment. My most serious concern though, is whether it works properly with the TD2, or it might cause any harm.
Has anybody here tried it? Any feedback?
if it is smaller then it is not for d2.
I see . So it seems I am the only one who bought this and got conned?
The only battery I found on Amazon is for the Diamond, not for the Diamond 2.
I had a Diamond before and the battery does not fit at all in the Diamond 2.
Maybe you can send it back and get your money back.
This the battery I bought:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002AANPYG/ref=ox_ya_oh_product
As you can see, it states clearly that it is a TD2 battery. My problem is that I cannot return it to them without proof that it is improper, and I am not even sure about this (since I have not tested it, and I am afraid to do so) at the moment...

It seems that Anfield800 has buy the same battery as you, you should contact him to check if it is working (and if he indeed have received the same battery, maybe yours is a mistake. Just sending HxWxL and the markings/serial numbers of the battery you have received should be enough to be sure you have received the same).
I am very interested in how things will turn out, I was considering buying the same battery...

Can you tell how the new battery compare to the stock one? Increased battery life? Faster/slower charging? Fit the same?
Thanks!
Fit is identical to the original. When I bought it is was half-charged, so I cannot compare charging time yet... Regarding battery life, the first impressions confirm that it does seem to last longer.
Great.. do keep us posted abt the battery.
Extra 240mAh at the same size at that price seems very tempting..
Thanks!

any pictures with this battery installed??
Does anyone know what is the normal charging time for a 1350mAh battery? I noticed that it needs a couple of hours... Is this normal? Does the fact that it is still new has anything to do with it?
I also noticed that the battery percentage gets up to 99% instead of 100%... Is this of any significance?
A couple of hours seems normal, it depends a little bit on your charger (faster with the htc one than charging from your laptop for example), and also if u sue your device when charging (then it is slower), or even the room temperature.
99% seems strange though, with my original battery, I always reach 100% eventually...and I suspect it goes a little higher than that: the time to go from 100% to 99% is much much longer than for going from 99% to 98% ;-)
Well, it does stay at 99% even if I leave it the whole night charging with the HTC charger...
Maybe it's a bug of the battery icon? I am using the one suggested in this forum, that has percentages and different colors.

It has no brand or any other label on it... Here it is how it looks.
The reason why i bought this battery is because i wanted to end my work shift with at least 20-30 percent(on a single battery) f obattery left to make phone call if needed, extend my phone usage away from a charger and longer web searching and the Andida 2000mAh didn't help at all. The result
OEM Battery 1500mAh: listening to music from 4 to 1am = 10% battery life left
Andida 2000mAh: ran 3 test each time my phone ended up dying around 11:30-12:00 this battery is not 2000mAh it somewhere around 1100-1300 it make an good back up battery but not an good extended battery.
I well be running some more test, like how long it last on 3G compared to the OEM battery but as of now i see theres no need to.
If you need an extra battery this is worth the money, but if you need an extended battery its not.
I got mine about 2 weeks ago. Haven't seen anything Earth-shattering as far as performance under normal use, but I watched a 2 and half hour movie on the device yesterday and it only went down to 50%.

i listen to alot of music etc etc daily when im at work so that when i would be able to see if its really a big change. I always end the night with about 10 percent of battery life.
Not terrible
I'm using a pair of these, with an external charger. I don't see that they provide a lot of advantage over the original HTC 1500Ma battery that came with my TP2, but they are an acceptable substitute.
One thing to keep in mind - I think they are heavier than the stock batteries. They are advertised as LiPoly, but I think they are LiIon.

It's under $10. Even if it's only as good as the stock battery it is well worth the money considering the stock one costs about $40. Even an OEM off eBay is as much as $16.

for an extended battery it not, i was looking for extended battery life without having to switch to another battery but this battery didnt do its job 2000mAh i don't think so its at least 1100-1300 i notice my battery died faster even on normal usage compared to the OEM. You are using the US T-Mobile version, from what I can see in the pix you posted; the only one available is the Mugen 3200, it runs about $79. I have not considered it because it really makes the back of the phone stick out. And it is expensive.
I buyed an used Touch pro 2. so i dunno how was the OEM battery when it was new. When i replaced with this 2000 mAh it nearly double up the battery life. From my site there is full satisfaction.

Aside from the poor English in your post, there's no way a 2000mAh battery is giving you double the battery life or even close to it. It is only 33% higher capacity than the stock battery.

interesting, thanks to someone who buy this ;P
Could do with a bigger battery, might buy it.
Price is pretty decent. All battery prices for G1 batteries have dropped compared to a few years ago.
The price for this one is probably less than I paid for my 1st replacement.
Its price is a lot less than the 2600 mAh one from Seido http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BACY26TMG1-BK The Seido battery makes the G1 even look more like a brick then it already does
Looks like a good alternative if the claims from the manufacturer are correct.
Usually they are not....
I hope that after three months, battery does not begin to lose their power.

Got it a while ago. Not actually performing that high, more like 1700 mAh. Still a nice improvement. This battery +14 MB ram hack + way underclocking when screen off = ~2 days use.
So.. Better to buy 1700mAH battery? I have a Eclair with Sense on my G1 and I have underclocking when screen is off. 2430mAH or 1700mAH ?

I used gps logger from fully charged with screen off. It lasted 12 hours to 27%.
If the battery under performs, you can always send it back.

I bought the battery off ebay and it said (in the page desc. and on the battery) 2300 mAh, but I asked the seller and they said it is a 1700 (don't think we can get li-ion that small for that much juice for that price...yet). So get the biggest you can get. I also bought a big-ass battery (one that doubles the thickness), and that is a true 2400+ battery.
*I should clarify. Use for me=calls and texts. Wifi is almost always off and no data. Sorry, I know nearly no one does it like this. I have no data plan and got this phone for really cheap to mess around with android. Now I have a nook color that I'm using for everything
Before the nook color I could last a full day (7-10) and maybe be at 10%, but I never did too much surfing or anything, just email and whatnot.
The super large battery could easily last 2 days of heavy use (on it w/everything on for 7 hours?), if you don't mind a pocket bulge.

Well in e-bay I buy this battery http://www.ebay.com/itm/2430MAH-HIG...844826?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f1e183dda and it was quiet good for one day, after one day it was dead the battery board was dead and I replace it whit old battery board so I don't think it is real.
I think the picture says it all. Not quite sure why someone would even bother considering a battery with such almost offensively unrealistic specs.
To store more current, the battery has to be physically bigger. It's why "D" cell batteries are bigger than "A" cell batteries even though they have the same voltage output.
Think of current as water. Can you fit more water in a bucket if it's the same size as the one you have?

I had bad experience with several extended batteries from ebay. I always prefer to buy an extra regular battery instead of having an extended battery.
Hi
i have the 3500 mAh battery, and have some questions about it:
1. why in the capacity it shows only 1650 mAh and not 3500?
2. i feel the battery ends the same as a default 1650 mAh battery.. how possible?
3. sometimes i feel my phone is hot! i saw one time it was 42* C! is it dangerous?.. and why its getting hot?
dont know how much this application is accurate, hope yes : )
thanks!
Does your galaxy s2 also get frozen after the battery supposedly discharges? If you keep it until the OS thinks its at zero it will freeze with the screen staying on and sometimes eve nsound playing until the battery really duschrges?
Because a lot of (cheap) non-genuine batteries end up a long way under the rated capacity printed on the outside. You get what you pay for - stick with genuine batteries, you'll get what's printed on the outside.

Use an original Samsung 2000mAh battery, it actually last longer.
Those mAh said by others are fake, and those batteries could even damage your phone by being more and more big with hot and so on. Don't use them, it's just a waste of money

Ok guys, I have it now for more than 2 weeks. Up to now, I'm pretty happy. With regular usage, it can stand for full 2 days.
With intensive use, I consumed the battery within 10 hours with more than 6 hours screen time.
Today, I didn't use the phone much. I removed it from charger at 8:00 am and it's at 94% as of 17:00 pm. Of course this has to do with the rom I use as well. Thickening the phone, yes, but you can forget to constantly looking for a charger during the day.
I don't expect the same performance for more than a year maybe but I have 2 for half the price of 2000mAh original battery.

Go with the official 2000mAh with extended back cover (the only way it comes) or go for a 'branded' alternative like Anker. Steer clear of anything that 'says' it's Samsung on eBay, and avoid at all costs any replacement that is covered by a gold sticker.......

Of course it's a risk to use uncertified accessories but my phone is now 3 years old. I did not want to spend much money to it as I'll replace it in a couple of years anyway. So, I don't bother whether this battery harms my phone - which is not very likely actually.
If you think the same way, then I'd suggest it.
