Like incase, speck, ect... that cover the back? This would be awesome.
I too yearn for such an accessory.
I searched the TFP Accessory forum using the search function, and this yielded no desirable results.
I've seen people with iPads have nice tight fitting hard cases and I am jealous.
For now I mostly want something that I can use along with my keyboard dock, and something to prevent my TFP's back from scratching on the surface of desks (even the smallest grain of salt will do damage) when I am taking notes.. and hope I do not drop it unless its its the carrying case.
I plan to just get this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006ZPPC1G/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A127GCSIQ9QZ6G
It fits the keyboard and will prevent stuff from scratching the surface.. Won't do much for impacts though
until then..
Shoot, thats what I thought. I did get a skinomi I just hope I can get something to cover the back from small bumps...it always tends to happen

Great thanks for that.
So, are there any cases that let you use the tab wile it is in it? Besides the one in the link above that has a strap across it?

Lol, that is a generic case. "For the transformer prime". Nice try tho
I bought this hard case:
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
Internal dimensions now that I have it in my hand are:
Case: 26.8cm x 19.1cm x 3-4cm
Prime: 26.3cm x 18.1cm x 2cm
As you can see, it's a pretty close fit in theory. Have to wait 5 days before I get my Prime to confirm it's a good fit.

I emailed gumdrop, they make one for the og, but I've not heard back from them.

I jsut couldn't think of the name, I have one on my damn phone.
doh!
No, simply put there are no hard cases special designed to perfectly fit the prime. For scratch protection however, I recommend a Skinomi.
Why not just buy a nice leather case where the tablet sits in all the time? Don't even have to expose the outside shell.
Thanks guys. Yes, an exact-fit hard shell is what I'm looking for. Seems like there aren't any. I have a skinomi. I really want a hard shell. I'll keep waiting.

I'm not a fan of having an ultra slim, beautifully made device and keeping it in a case all the time.
I like to feel my tablet or phone in my hands and just use a case for transportation purposes.
I know you said you where looking for a hardshell type case, but I found these. They cover the back with a cover for the keyboard as well.

That case does not allow the use of a keyboard.
Any updates on AN ULTRA SLIM SHELL HARDCASE that is actually "for sale". I've run across a few in development? Anybody?
If you look for "sikai leather case tf201" on Amazon, the case I'm going to order next week there looks pretty good. I would post a link, but I am too new to the forum.
I'm planning on getting one of these. I live in Okinawa, Japan but will be coming back to the states next week, so I plan on ordering it for when I think I'll get there. It has a leather cover, and a hard plastic back part of the case, and fits with the dock. I have been waiting for some time on a developer in the forum to take his very promising hard case to "beta" or to just plain old buy one off of him, but I am tired of waiting for a good hard case. I think I'm just going to get one of these. I'll post a review once I get this and have a couple days of observation. I'm currently using a cheap, faux leather case which doesn't look bad. However, it offers little protection from falls and is beginning to tear apart.

I ordered my G Tab from Woot as many others did. I really like the thin iPad 1 case and have been searching for one for the GTab but haven't been able to find one. I'm not really looking for a big leather case. I'm looking for something similar to this forum post on the Galaxy site: ht tp:// forum.xda-developers.com/ showthread.php?t=893697 (sorry I can't post links)
The Galaxy case that is sold at hand held items (link to hand held in the above spaced out link) looks very similar to the iPad one too but is better because it's not an "i" product.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Steve's cases look much better than the Case Crown cases. I got one of the CC cases and it stopped "fitting" after a few weeks. Opening and folding the front back behind the tablet caused the bands to stop gripping the tablet and I just stopped using it overall.
I'd highly recommend looking at Steve's store: http://electroniccrap.com/store/ind...cription=1&keyword=viewsonic+g+tablet&x=0&y=0
I'd have gotten one of his, but he was out of stock so I ordered one of the cases with the keyboard built in (came out to be $35). I have to go pick it up at the post office, as it was delivered via registered mail and has to be signed for.
It's a great case but still not as good as a custom case

I was one of the early adopters of the CaseCrown case for the Kindle DX for my gTab. It looks pretty classy even though it's not real leather. Good quality construction. Some people were reporting that the elastic tabs at the top were getting lose with time but I've used mine for over three months and didn't notice that on mine. I have to say thought I didn't leave my gTab in the CaseCrown case when I was using it but only really had it in the case for transporting it from home to the office or some other away from home locale. The one thing I will report that is a slight negative about the CaseCrown is that after three months of use I did notice the side of the case that is up against the back of the gTab was getting slightly bent and the felt lining was beginning to bubble up a bit. Even with that slight issue this case I would highly recommend it. If you can part with the cash I would strongly direct you into the direction of one of the custom cases as those are more tailored for out gTabs.
I hope you enjoy your gTab as much as I do mine. I've basically replaced the need to lug around my really heavy beast of a work laptop and now do my off site work from my gTab accessing my laptop remotely via LogMeIn Ignition.
Since I've purchased my CLIP from it2steve I have put away my CaseCrown case. I have no use for it now so if you're interested I'll be happy to unload it on you for next to nothing. Send me a PM if you're interested.

I hope for your sake you didn't get the one that I had before I unloaded it on eBay. It does work but that's where the positive ended for me with that case. The case really looked CHEAP and I was embarrased to take it out in front of other people at work or at a client's site. Also, the keys are hard plastic (not silicone) so I was afraid it would rub against the gTab's screen and do damage since the case also didn't hold the gTab snug but rather let it slide around in there.
This case may be good for students but really is not suitable for a professional environment. It will definitely give the Apple fans something else to snicker at if you work around them.

Thanks for the update, looking forward to their release.
Wow, this is pretty slick looking. I might pick one up in Feb. Until then I am just going to use a neoprene case to carry it around like a laptop and use it naked when I take it out.
I thought I saw in another thread someone say there is very little clearance between the keyboard and the screen when it is closed. I wonder how a case like this will work if that's true.
You need to un-dock the keyboard.
wwwamazoncom /MiniSuit-ASUS-Transformer-Keyboard-Portfolio/dp/B006ULQPTI/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_t_3
Its available for pre-order on amazon. add the periods and delete the space after .com
But it will not be able to close properly with that Tuff-lov thing...?
There's leather on top of the keyboard dock and alson on the front of the tablet.. So thats 2 x leather layer when trying to close the thing.. it cannot be healthy for the dock hinge....
I think I've seen the Case Logic case asked about or maybe even shown somewhere else but I can't find it (I've searched, no luck). SO I'm hoping this might be a good place to post pics, at least it's on topic (except it's not leather).
I've seen this online but I stumble across at Walmart so had to check it out knowing I could easily return it. I is a semi-hard sided case that will hold the tablet and dock when they are connected (or if they are not, just be careful where the hinge is on the dock when you close the case if its' not connected).
I like it. It's growing on me. It offers a lot of versatility. At first I thought wth am I going to do with the dock when I only want to use the tablet (where am I going to store it or put it if I'm traveling or at a friends, etc) but quickly found it kinda just stashes away on it own within the case. Problem solved!
My opinions, fwiw:
Pros -
*cost $25
*durable, rugged
*really good fit
* soft lining, extra padding behind the tablet
*presents well ( easily walk into any meeting or class room with this)
*while it's not technically a portfolio, there is room for some note paper and my stylus fit in there in a little spot on top and the mettle never hit any of the metal on the tablet or dock
*neoprene cover does just *barely* wraps around it if I want added cushion
*versatile viewing angles
*can keep dock in the case detached from tablet and still use tablet with case
*you can leave the top straps on and attached to the top corners of the tablet when you close the case - it's not putting any pressure on the dock hinge at all, it adds a little more cushion between the two units, plus it fills up the space within the case a little more
Cons -
*the strap on the top left corner WILL hit the volume rocker.
*takes a bit of fooling around with the middle velcro part to see how and where it will work with the hinge, but it's worth the little extra time so it doesn't get messed up later
*be careful if you've detached the dock and try to close the case with the units separated - the hinge needs to be in the right place or we might risk breaking it or scratch the glass - maybe not but I wouldn't want to force it or risk it.
*it adds significant overall weight. I don't have a scale that will measure it , but it is heavier. That being said, I may not to drop it from my 3rd story balcony, but I feel pretty safe with it withstanding most common impacts and injuries. If I took the time to add another thin cushion later I am fairly certain it would withstand any fall from counter or waist height
whats the name of the case logic case?
It's this one I think (or very very similar):
http://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-ETC-110-10-Inch-Tablet/dp/B004XANKWI
I got it at Walmart for $25.
The biggest pro to this one is that it will securely hold both tablet and dock. I'm glad I have it, I wont be returning it, it will serve it's purpose when I need a case like this. At home, I'm very careful. Now I know I can take both with me and they will have a safe home, too

FWIW
I have the Transformer Prime with keyboard, and just got the mini suit case. I like it, for the most part. The leather feel is much nicer than the other brands I've seen. And it's really cool how it covers both the Prime and the dock, yet will come apart (with a couple of snaps) when you don't want to bring the dock along. The only thing that bugs me is the sloppiness of the cover without the dock. It's like a book with a very old, very loose, sloppy binding. I'm not sure I like that, and may decide to pick up one of the cheaper covers to use when I'm not planning to have the dock with me.
I have a question too, about the dock. Is there a forward delete key? Or a hot key that works to delete forward instead of backspacing? That missing function has bugged me since I first discovered Android! Just sayin'...

It definitely won't fit. I have the Prime and I have an iPad1 with this case. The Prime is less wide and longer than the iPad. They're completely different dimensions.
I too would love a case like this for the Prime. If anyone finds one, please share.
Seems like any sleeve style case for the 11" macbook airs will work though. Gonna go to the store this weekend and try some out.

Yep, most of these cases seem to be sufficient to protect against a nuclear blast. I just want something convenient (ie. not a sleeve) that will give basic protection against scratches when it's in my bag.
Has anyone tried Asus' official sleeve that they made for the original Transformer on the Prime? It looks very similar to the official ipad 1 sleeve.

While I still want something made of the iPad 1 case's thin material that "hugs" the tablet, this one does appear to be a little thinner than other leather cases I've seen.
I found the original Asus case, just like the Ipad 1 case that is very thin that someone is talkiing about above. Since it is somewhat "strechy" for lack of a better word, and they are cm's apart in size (a little taller, thinner, and not as
long), and its a tight fit on the tf101, I'm hoping it will work.
I also want something thin, there is no use to buy the thinnest tablet (or phone) out there and put a "case" on it that is huge. I want protection, not drop proof.
I get mine in 2 days and will report back if this and wifi works!!

I found this case while shopping in Target. It fits the Prime and the Keyboard dock very well. The Prime is a little snug on the one side but the keyboard dock fits like it was made for it on the other. I also like it because of the the 2 additional zippered pockets for stuff. I'll post a couple pics after dinner.
I paid 24.95 at the Target store near me but can't find it online for less than the 31.99 Amazon is charging. Walmart was 39.99 on line.
Edit: Those pics show it pretty good. Where they show the tablet sticking out, there's plenty of room in front of it that's divided by a fairly thick padded liner. It just fits the tablet and the dock really good and doesn't slide around.

Honestly, to one point, I don't mind the screen not being covered. I mean, it will NEVER SCRATCH....
Good point. Can't add much to that.

I've come to realize how much I would use a kickstand on my Rezound. I've already placed a backorder for the HTC kickstand case from HTCpedia. I have searched the web for another retailer carrying this case, but cannot find it anywhere.
Anyone else happen to find this case? I'm hoping to be able to get this case sooner rather than later. :/
Bought a shell holster combo from GizmoReady on Amazon. Way better than the one Verizon sells. Fits regular battery. Check it out. And yes it has a kickstand.

I ordered this one, should have it Monday:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006BFP9QS/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
Not as slick as the one on htcpedia that runs $25 if that's the one you're talking about but looks the same as the other one they carry and also comes with a holster.
I figure this one is good for hiking when I won't have pockets or a purse since it has a holster and it looks rugged in case of a drop, and I wanted a kickstand for when I need it to watch something. But I'm not sure I'll leave it on at all times, I love the phone without a case and don't want to bulk it up.
Here's one for the extended battery:
http://www.amazon.com/HTC-REZOUND-E..._1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1325996180&sr=1-2
got mine in the mail today from Amazon.com... Had great reviews and was very similar to the case that I had with my Galaxy Nexus. I wanted the one at VZW store, but it was for the large battery.. I can provide a link if you need it. It is almost EXACTLY as the one at VZW... Says it in the comments...

I think it's pretty much just like this one, if not the exact same one, on htcpedia. They have pics posted there. I might write up a review of the case and will post pics then. Let me know if you need to see more than what you see at this link and I'd be happy to post.

I'm really hoping for a tpu kickstand case to come out like the ones they have for the GN. All the kickstand cases that are out on the market now are snap on based and knowing me, it will eventually just scratch the phone up. Looks like this:

That's not the one originally brought up in the OP. That's the cheaper one, the "rubberized" one. I got one just like it off Amazon for $13 shipped (see link above) and I'm going to review it in a couple days. The one the OP brought up is the "hard shell" one.
I called HTCpedia and was told that HTC has problems with fulfillment and that this case would most likely not be in stock for about one more month. I canceled my order.

So i grew a pair and bought this off ebay.. we will see how it is, looks nice

Probably lots of people including me are interested in the case posted by the OP. Anyone ever get the case posted by OP? Has it ever been in stock? Is it worth waiting for? Reviews? If it sucks then we can all move on.

I just got one from Amazon today--$10 shipped--which appears to be exactly the same one shown on the wireless video. It is also very similar, only the pattern is different, as the one sold by Verizon, except this only fits the standard battery. I don't know about the "rubberized" statement, but this case/holster is definitely hard.
This case fits the phone very well, however, it only wraps the sides, not the top or bottom. It is easy to snap off and on. The phone does not wiggle inside the case like it does on the dual battery Verizon case. It also fits the holster very well and seems to be secure. It has the pull-out stand which works vertically and horizontally. It seems a little flimsy but we'll see how long it last.
It has all the necessary openings: lens, lights, headset, power, volume, rear speaker, and two holes on the back and one on the side that have to do with noise suppression on the phone--the holes are on the phone.
The holster clips works well on my belt and allows for rotation.
Bottom line: I like it. It is like the one I had on my Dinc for two years.
Just purchased this case. Looks beautiful. The makers said their price is higher due to the quality of the leather and stitched seams. From the pictures, looks like the perfect case for me....and has a hand strap on the back! There is a $2.00 coupon code.
http://www.caseen.com/caseen-SKINNY...k-for-ASUS-Transformer-Prime-TF201_p_151.html
looks generic to me...
You could have gotten that exact case off eBay significantly cheaper
I have seen 3 or 4 (or 20) cases exactly like this one on Amazon under different manufacturer names. The most popular are Moko and Poetic. They generally sell around $10-20

You can use primeforumsblack for $2.00 off the caseen black prime case.
You can use primeforumspink for $2.00 off the caseen true pink prime case.
You can use primeforumsretro for $2.00 off the caseen retro pink plaid prime case.
Link is above in OP's post, as I am sure it is bad form (against rules) for the manufacturer to post links to the products.
In defense of the caseen case product, all the cases linked above are very good for the price! I am always amazed at the quality (and price!) that those dealers can bring in competitive marketplaces like amazon. However, all those cases are made from plastic PU vinyl leatherette material, which has its merits but is significantly less expensive. Our material is genuine leather, and we just released this case to market yesterday night! The case has been in development for over a month, and yes at first glance some design points may be similar to other cases. Rest assured, we do a damn fine job at making sure the fitment is spot on perfect (and I am not knocking the competition, I am sure they have good fitment too). All cases go through a blueprinting, design, and testing process to ensure quality before production. One
Another poster didn't like that the bezel was covered, but this must be the case for a classic stitched design without the use of plastic, and plastic 'shell' type materials. I understand why people do not like bezel surrounds, and we want to make these people happy. We are constantly developing more solutions. I can say that our design team has played around with the idea of shell type cases with more exotic materials like carbon fiber and fiberglass. Hopefully one day we can bring these to market =)
As this is a just released new case product for the Prime, I hope some who had our case for the previous transformer will vouch for the quality of our case. Also I am sure some will vouch for our new prime type as well.
I hope this clears some things up! At caseen we do our best to provide exceptional customer service, feel free to PM or ask any questions and I will gladly answer them.

Using metal clamps covered in PU fake leather I'm not a fan of either. I have the Bluerec case. Once I did finally did get my prime "clampped" down I noticed if I wanted to view it at one of the angle I had to UNclamp the bottom again, and this has to be done everytime. While you can adjust the clamps with some tools it just doesn't hold the tablet like I would like it to. This is why I like the style cases where the tablet slides into a protective pocket and then STAYS there. No need to unclamp or remove it. Using the Bluerex case also, the rear backplate is open and susceptible to scratches. Using a Caseen type case it is always covered, hence no scratches. To each his own...I really like to keep my devices/electronics protected the best possible way...and the clamp style case isn't in that direction.
I love the plaid pink one but I am waiting on a moko one to come this week. Wish I had seen this sooner.
How easy is it to slip in and out?
soft cases
nice one ....you can try some other one also .
This one looks really good. A good deal considering its real leather. THE mono one went up in price at Amazon and is now 25.99. ID rather get this as it has a handstrap also. This will protect the prime better than mono because the bezel covered also. Mono one isn't. So if you had prime in theism case and it fell flat on its face, better chance of surviving vs. Moko one without bezel covered. I'm mean if flap opened on both cases to allow you to see screen. Seriously considering this one now. Are those coupon codes still good? If so, for how long?
Not to sound stupid but what is the bezel? You say these cover up the Bezel and that it's a good thing. Cause if my friend ends up getting the Prime maybe he will buy my Moko and I'll get the pink plaid one. I still want a screen protector and a back clear protector and don't know who to buy from?

Its the surround around the screen.
Thanks I wasn't sure. But now I want this pink case and not my Black Moko one coming tomorrow. I even saw a pink Stylus on Amazon. Never used a stylus with a tablet though and not sure I would need too. But when I do my remote and access my desktop on the tablet that would be good cause I was wanting a blue tooth mini mouse but maybe a stylus will work.
Edit: I just saw on there website free stylus with 20 dollar order wonder if I can get the pink one to match the case. Wonder what the difference is in the skinny pink one and the plaid one that's more expensive. I like the plaid better. Now I wish I hadn't ordered my Moko one. I just called the company and she said I can call back in an hour when there stock person comes in and see if they have a pink stylus and request it with my case. So now I am ordering the pink plaid one I think cause I really like it. She said there the same just the design on the plaid one makes it a little more but the plain pink one says skinny in the description. I hope I like it. My Moko case was 19.99.

I want to order the pink plaid one but only if I can get a pink Stylus and in my cart it's showing a blue one. Is it possible to get a pink one? I called and a lady on the phone said if it's available and I added a pink one to my cart and it didn't say unavailable. Cause I will buy this case if I can get a pink stylus. I like the plaid one. The other pink one says skinny in the name is there a difference between the two or is just the plaid one is more cause of the design? Thanks!

Hi new2q9c,
That hole we added that you might not see elsewhere is to give more flexibility to our open charge port tab. Gives the leather more flexibility to stretch and breathe in that confined area.

Opentoe to you actually have the case yet? I just ordered tonight when I got home from work which was a bit ago. I was looking into a mini bluetooth mouse but now I am thinking and hoping this Stylus will work. Only for when I do Splashtop remote and want to access my pc on the tablet it's hard to touch the right spot and I was going to order a bluetooth mouse. But now I am hoping I can get by using the Stylus. Can't wait to get this case? Does it fold back so you can use it? I think someone asked but don't remember if it got answered. Thanks!
