You can enter cwm by pressing power+volume up until cwm boots when the phone is turned off. CWM wont start on its own just because your buggered up your rom. it wont give you that fancy "connect to computer and well do all the work for you" screen. You need to manually select the rom file and flash it via the "install zip from sd card" command. dont forget gapps when you're flashing CM7, or you wont have market.
There ya go: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...-and-how-to-use-it-on-android-complete-guide/

In that case you might want to try flashing the original recovery via fastboot. Where you can find that, I don't know. Possibly in a stock rom. Don't worry though, as long as your computer recognizes it, its only a soft brick. It should be salvageable. Gimme a sec and i'll try to find a recovery img for you.
EDIT: its also possible to flash it via adb. but i've never done it via adb before. i need to read into it before i recommend anything.
EDIT2: try sending a pm to subpsyke. he's far more skilled in this than i am. maybe he can help you.
Dear ares93
thank you very much for help
No problem, mate.
I have a recovery.img from a CWM backup of me own Huawei u8180. Unfortunately its a CWM recovery file so its not stock. Just keep in mind that there's no guarantee it'll work, it might even brick it completely. While I don't believe that'll happen, there's always a chance. But if you want to try it out i can upload it for you.
Like I said, I'm fairly new at this. I spent a lot of time with Windows mobile roms, but android is new for me.

If you mean CWM backup that restore via clockworkmod its not useful for my case ; because my mobile now cannot inter clockworkmod. But it can recognized
via fastboot through computer cmd commands like these:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
etc
Is there any way to flash firmware or rom to my huawei u8180 like that?
thank you for your effort

A clockworkmod backup creates a number of files:
.android secure.img
boot.img
cache.img
data.img
datadata.img (i dont get this one, but aight. i'll bite.)
nandroid.md5
recovery.img (i'm guessing this is a backup of the mobile's recovery partition. same as the one you flashed in fastboot except, used, so to speak.)
sd-ext.img
system.img
So the file I meant was the recovery.img.
As far as adb flashing goes, it is possible. i found a guide how to do it. but you need Amon_RA recovery for it.
Try pushing the img via adb like you did with CWM and see what happens. If it works, then you're set. If no, I'm honestly fresh out of ideas, mate.

ok, sweet. all is not lost. grab the cwm recovery img, rename it as :recovery.img", boot into fastboot and run the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" that should give you the ability to enter recovery.
Wipe down system, cache, data, and dalvik cache, then try reflashing cm 10.1. If it works, boot up into cm 10.1, but do not mess with the kernel yet.

Ok. Thanks for typing the error msg, the pic was slightly blurry, but thats what i thought it said. When you type in recovery.img, are you putting the ' on both sides of the file like the error msg shows or are you just typing recovery.img ? Also, jw, is this an att branded phone?

1. Ok good.
2. Hmmm, a bit more complicated, but i'm still gonna do what i can to help advise you
3. Moto-fastboot is an advanced fastboot. It allows bigger *.img files to be flashed. I think fastboot limits it to 250MB or something.
4. Ok good.
Cold booting is what happens when your device is off and it is turned on. I'm thinking you're referring to that menu in the pic on your first post. Not sure what thats called, but its the same thing as the scroll-through menu that you get when you power up and press vol - at the same time.
Let me quickly look through things to see what to do next. I want to say try flashing a fruitcake rom to see if the device is flashable at all.

try running this command "fastboot erase recovery"
the recovery img file from the link i gave you, you did rename it to just say recovery.img ?
This link here http://www.das8nt.com/sbffiles.html will bring you to a page of stock roms and sbf files. since you said it might be bell, lets look at bell first. download the rom file of your choice. open it up and it should have *.img files in it. flash to proper partitions.
I'd rather not have you do any sbf flashing unless needed

i did fastboot erase recovery and i still get the same message of the error of flash recovery
and about that site i didnt understand what you want me to do could you explain more
Ok, and yes i can. That site has fruitcake roms. They're the same thing as the stock updates from motorola and the same thing as a sbf file, but they're in img format within a zip.
Now based off of what you said earlier, you think it might be a bell phone, so thats what i looked for. The site has the 2.2.2, 2.3.4, and 2.3.6 fruitcakes of the stock updates. Choose one of them (probably 2.3.6 since that is the most up to date) and download it. It will be a zip file. Open the zip and you should find a system and a boot img file. Take these and put them in the same folder as fastboot. Boot into fastboot and do the following:
Fastboot erase system
Fastboot erase data
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot erase osh
Fastboot erase boot
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot flash system system.img
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
If this works, then thats great news. If not, let me know and we'll work with the sbf file on that site.

A lot of people are asking which recovery they need to install with the un-locked bootloader.
This is compatible with all L9 variants that have unlocked bootloaders.
Here is the original link.

Code:
Unlocking the LG Optimus L9
The L9's (p760) update to Jellybean from LG started rolling out today. It has a ton of new stuff for people who are interested in keeping the stock ROM,
and another new thing that's of interest to us: the bootloader is now unlockable.
How?
Step 1 - After installing the JB update (I don't know if there are any leaks, but it so avoid them. The real update is out),
make sure you have a SIM in your phone and let it stay on for at least 30 continuous minutes. This is important!.
If you skip this step, you may end up with a permanently locked device.
Step 2 - Enable USB debugging in the developer options, and run " adb reboot oem-unlock " from your PC.
Step 3 - You'll land at a confirmation screen like the one in the first photo of this post. Read it, and follow the instructions there.
Step 4 - If your device unlocked, you'll be in fastboot mode. The phone will helpfully tell you about it (Second photo). Congratulations,
your bootloader is unlocked and your L9 can run unsigned boot images.
Step 5 (optional) - While you're at it, stay in fastboot mode and flash CWM from http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.9-p760.img
with " fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.9-p760.img "

You should be able to flash it over stock recovery. Don't flash the recovery for locked bootlaoder. I don't think it works when bootloader is unlocked.
After flashing pull battery and re-install. Press "Vol-Up + Home + Power" till recovery is loaded.
So I unlocked my blog and I am trying to flash recovery I use prada I got the point where it says put the battery in after 5 seconds then it says pull sub cable and plug in when I get LG screen. I get mirror image of LG with fast-food ov in the corner I. At this point I try to flash recovery but when try to boot to recognize very it's not working am I missing something here.
I flashed 20b unlocked bl flashed back to 10g rooted fixed touch screen stuck on trying to install recovery

If you have unlocked bootloader and root ( that's a must) it is much easier to use Nandroid Manager (free from market) to flash any compatibile recovery image (6.0.3.1 is the newest touch version or non-touch) just from the phone from *.img file . I've tested it took 2-3 min .

Easiest way is to pass adb command from command prompt. ADB reboot recovery or you can use ROM manager to boot into recovery. If you absolutely need to boot with key combo. Hold vol up + home button and power button when phone vibrates release power it should boot into recovery

I rooted the Hydro Elite last night and immediately started cleaning up the Verizon bloatware. I must have went a little crazy and removed an APK from the system/app folder that is required for the phone function to run. I am now just getting FC's on 'com.android.phone' when not in airplane mode. Tried a factory reset to no luck, tried some APK restores from similar models, etc. In my arrogance of thinking I know what I am doing I did not backup the APK's I removed from the system/app folder. Normally this would be no big deal, I could just pull them from the ROM image, or reload an image, or whatever. But, it seems Kyocera or Verizon have absolutely no self-help ROM's on the net to reinstall nor has any custom ROMs been developed for this phone yet. I have the system zip but i dont know what or how to use or flash it/ restore it! SOMEBODY PLEASEEEEEE HELP ME

Try putting the phone in airplane mode then enable wifi, if that works then download "flash GUI" from google play and try installing the zip that way. Its a long shot but you got nothing to loose.

Ok I thought you still had function in airplane mode. I don't own this phone but I am assuming the bootloader is locked. If it is then there is no way out because you have no custom recovery and now way to flash. What options / features do you have in recovery?

How to: Use "adb sideload" on your Android device
Probably every Android power-user at least once in his life used ADB - Android Debug Bridge. It is a versatile command line tool that lets you communicate with an emulator instance or connected Android-powered device. Using ADB shell commands gives you additional control over your device and sometimes it can save your device from being bricked (example: How to: copy ROM zip file to the freshly wiped device). You can find some more basic information about ADB here.
Since Android Jelly Bean there has been a new ADB mode available in the AOSP recovery, incorporated by the Android developer community into custom recoveries too. It is called "ADB sideload" and most of you probably have heard about it already. This is an alternate method to the one I wrote about here - How to: copy ROM zip file to the freshly wiped device. The main difference is that ADB sideload works only with recoveries based on Jelly Bean source or newer. I believe that ADB sideload was created to simplify the process of flashing/restoring Android update.zip packages.
Keep in mind that while using ADB sideload, the regular ADB shell won't work. To be able to use SIDELOAD mode make sure you're running latest ADB drivers from the Android SDK (Platform-tools). Here are the simple steps you need to follow to flash update.zip package using adb sideload mode (based on stock Android recovery):
Place the ZIP package you want to install in the same location where you keep ADB drivers - adb.exe, AdbWinApi.dll and AdbWinUsbApi.dll (usually it's SDK\platform-tools)
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in Settings > Development on your device
Make sure your phone drivers are installed on the PC you're going to use
Boot your device in recovery mode (Android logo with a exclamation mark) and connect your device to PC
Hold down "power" button first, followed quickly by "volume up" button. You should now see the recovery menu
Use the volume up/down keys to select "apply update from ADB," then press power to select it
Open a command prompt on the PC (cmd.exe), type and confirm with ENTER:
cd /d <adb.exe location> (for example: cd /d c:\SDK\platform-tools) or you can open your SDK/platform-tools folder, then press SHIFT button and the right-click mouse button and choose “Open command prompt here”
adb sideload <filename>.zip (for example: adb sideload update.zip)
The zip package will begin installing. When it's done, select "reboot system now."
How is that different from the alternative method? You don't have to manually create the proper folders structure, push the file and later install if from inside the recovery menu. The result is basically the same, because ADB sideload is also transferring the zip file into the device internal memory and later it automatically begins the installation procedure. However, it works only with recoveries based on Android Jelly Bean source.

Ok try to enable fast boot on your phone. Then connect to PC. Copy the zip file that you got from the Russian guy and paste into your fast boot folder. Type "Fast Boot name of file .zip" then type " type in commands to reboot your phone. And switch back to your phone, ( click on it from your desktop as if you are going to "safely remove". Google using fast boot to umbirick any android phone" tons of guides. I would post links but XDA does not allow it until I have posted 10 times
OK so which fastboot program do I use? And which fastboot folder exactly do I put the system zip in?

Sorry to hear, not familiar with windows 8. Im out of answers at this point with respect to fastboot. Maybe try contacting kyocera or verizon and tell them your predicament. They may switch out your phone. Kyoceras are unforgiving phones because of locked bootloaders.

Minimal, fastboot is an abbreviated version, should be the same/do the same thing. Look it up on xda forums. Not familiar with it so you are on your own with how it works.
solution?

Hydro Elite CWM (ported from LG Spectrum 2) can be loaded through fastboot from PC (fastboot boot hydro_cwm.img). If you can enter fastboot mode (yellow penguin) you could restore phone by loading CWM and restore from backup.
Link to CWM image: http://yadi.sk/d/sT3hyWWeLPuuD
Another way - flashing whole system.img partition through fastboot flash system system.img. Link to archive with stock 2.03 system image: http://4pda.ru/pages/go/?u=http:%2...ocera_elite.7z
ok here somebody sent me a solution i think this is the correct way , however can break this down to me in more detail.

Not sure you could load CWM since bootloader is locked, but flashing the whole system may do the trick. The exact breakdown is beyond my abilities. Maybe post the question on this forum on how to flash system img via fastboot. That should in theory restore you back to original state.

Hello
Please can you help me put on my Kyocera C6750 fastboot mode.
It restarts and I can only get into recovery mode.
Thank you

The phone has unlockable bootloader and I only have low mobile data and was wondering if there's a way to rip the stock recovery to port twrp over.
When I get wifi tomorrow, I'll try using PC king root while the phone is in fastboot mode.
Kingoroot will get to 100 but fail, kingroot pc version would just give me Chinese letters and do nothing.
Can anyone list anyother root exploits I might I can try on this phone? I tried the Android version of kingroot , but that just gives me the request device and I can't bypass it.
Root u673c
... has anyone been able to root the U673C version 6.0.1, if so, guide me through it, thanks!
we need to somehow extract the stock recovery.img to port twrp over.
Rooted boot image for u673c
I have finally rooted this phone. Here is the rooted boot.img uploaded to MediaFire.

Its rooted with Magisk 17.1
Unlock bootloader rename file to boot.img and flash with fastboot.

Some instructions would be nice, Does not work I can get boot.img to install but it will only boot into stock recovery
In developer options click allow OEM unlocking then boot to fastboot mode and use fastboot to unlock bootloader and flash the rooted kernel.
Rename file to boot.img
Unlock bootloader: fastboot oem unlock
Flash kernel: fastboot flash boot boot.img
twrp is not included...

If you are having trouble booting system after installing twrp try wiping data and cache.
The no verity zip should not be needed since kernel was patched with magisk... but if still Having issues booting system try flashing the no verity zip... you can search for it here on xda
Thank you !

I would just disable the app... just in case there is an update for the phone in future... if you remove the app the update will fail but if its disabled you can just enable it take update and then disable it again... also disable the stock gallery and install a third party one from the playstore... the stock gallery app will through all sorts of ads at you full screen ads as well.
I used titainium backup to disable all apps I didn't want... bit you can use what ever app you want. You can disable most apps in the apps info but not all apps.
I just use the phone as a backup and don't know where it is right now but when I come accross it I'll post all the apps I disabled here.
I healthfully thank you

I'm sorry I can remember the button combo... From phone off press and hold vol down and power release power and keep holding vol down... I think fast boot mode is an all black screen or it just has umx logo, can't remember exactly... when you have a fast hooky cmd window open type fastboot devices to see if your phone is connected... if it is not try holding vol up instead of vol down when turning phone on... if vol up don't work try holding both vol buttons. Before this can be done make sure usb debugging is enabled in developer options and authorize your pc when prompted... alternately after you have adb authorized you could use adb cmd "adb reboot bootloader"
If you ned help with adb/fastboot do a quick google search you will find plenty of info and instructions
I appreciate your reply.
But I need some more assistance, please:
I've rooted many devices, flashed custom ROM's, Custom recoveries, etc, but I'm completely stuck now with this phone.
I tried "Power and Vol Down"....nothing.
I tried "Power and Vol Up"...and for a split second I see the Android robot on its back...but after that split second, I'm in the stock recovery menu.
One of the stock recovery menu choices is to reboot into Bootloader. When I try that, the phone reboots; but to the best of my knowledge, does not get into Bootloader mode.
I have installed ADB on my PC. When I type "ADB devices", I see my phone listed. But when I type "adb reboot bootloader", it reboots, but not into Bootloader.
I have USB debugging enabled, I have authorized my PC, and in Developer options, I have enabled the "Unlock Bootloader" option.
My Googling results have not yielded useful info.
I'm stuck.....
I hope that someone with experience with this particular device can please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thank you!

Hope That Helps.
I Got Magisk, Xposed & Even A Custom Bootscreen With Sound on Mine.
Okay. Got it all done, mostly thanks to Liberator Elite. And just so that no one else should ever be as stuck as I was, please allow me to clarify what actually worked:
I kept on attempting to put the phone into Fastboot mode or Bootloader mode. I could enter the stock recovery, choose to boot into Bootloader, but it wasn't working--or so I thought. All I would see upon reboot was a screen that was black, with the words "UMX" (Ultimate Mobile Xperience??? or whatever...)
However, Liberator Elite called to my attention that that screen WAS THE BOOTLOADER screen. I typed "Fastboot Devices" from the command prompt, and there was my phone! I then was able to flash over the boot.img file, and the TWRP posted here, and from TWRP, I was able to install Magisk.
For some of you, this is all simple--thanks for not laughing.
And to the entire community, thanks for being such a great resource! All done--thanks to you guys. Much appreciated!!!
