accelerometer - Sony Tablet S

I don't see any controls for the accelerometer. Any one know how to access this?

What are you trying to do with it? The accelerometer can be accessed by any apps that use its functionality. There aren't many built-in uses for the accelerometer, other than rotating the screen?
What kind of controls are you looking for?

Just curious more than anything. All of my previous Android devices have had an "Accelerometer" setting when you could adjust its sensitivity for various games.

Compass / G Sensor

I downloaded a bunch of apps that show direction (compass) and leveling - none of these seem to work.
Does the G Tablet support this feature ? I know it doesn't have navigation (uses wifi) but I thought it has compass features.
Someone please reply

The gTablet has only 2 sensors: the accelerometer and the light sensor.

Dock Question...

I just got the dock and I'm not getting the multitouch capability I thought I would... can't pinch zoom in/out? No back motion for browser? Maybe I don't have it set up properly or am not using the proper commands... can anyone help?
Thanks,
Brian

I have a ROOT..with CMD...running PRIMORDIAL! v3.1...
You gotta understand - "multitouch" doesn't really imply the SAME functionality when you are referring to a touch screen and a touch pad.
Pinch zoom does not function on the touchpad.
Well, at this point the only thing I can find that is "multi-touch" about this is that you can use two fingers to scroll.
I was messing around with it some more last night... are there ways to adjust the mouse sensitivity and the touch pad sensitivity?
Ya, its just the way they advertise it:
A multitouch screen is one where you can do many gestures to accomplish tasks
A multitouch pad is one where you can use two fingers to scroll, lol
It's just redundant to market it as such since pretty much all netbooks/notebooks have been doing that for ages.
Actually a multi-touch anything is just something that registers more than one touch point simultaneously. No "gestures" are implied.

[Q] accelerometer problems

hi, everyone.
after i received my moto e this monday, i have installed lollipop 5.1 stock from twrp backup.
now i'm realizing that the acelerometer is not working properly; neither the panoramic capture, nor google sky maps is working.
does anyone have this issue?
what could i do?
well, i've readeing that there's no compass in the moto e, so im wondering if skymaps, and other orientation programs are supposed to work well on this device.
could anyone tellme if skymaps is working for you?
thanks in advance

moto e 1st gen doesn't have compass..
so any app that shows directions i.e (north, south, east, west) when the phone is held horizontally /Orientation apps will not work... even Google maps doesn't show the maps according to phone orientation.
it just shows the map in north direction.
"The accelerometer is a built-in electronic component that measures tilt and motion. It is also capable of detecting rotation and motion gestures such as swinging or shaking.
The most common use for it is to activate auto screen rotation on mobile devices when the user changes their orientation from portrait to landscape or vice-versa ."(courtesy: gsmarena)
the accelerometer has nothing to do with compass or its applications.

5 plus pressure sensor

Hi!
Can anyone tell me how I get the pressure sensor to get recognized? All apps I tried so far say it's not there, but apparently the compass app from the stock ROM does display the pressure data. Does anyone have the stock pressure app? I'm running AEX.
Would a different kernel help for that?
Thanks!

What u mn??? Pressure app ???
Almost every cell phone has a pressure sensor, and the Redmi 5 plus apparently too. But it doesn't seem to work like in all other phones. There are many apps that can read this sensor and display it - barometer apps namely and other sensor-display apps. I haven't found one that works with my 5 plus.
I have only seen mentioned that the built in compass app does display a pressure, all apps I have tried do not display a correct value, most just say "no sensor".
Sorry
No pressure sens. in RN5. Compass works with magnetic sensor which detects magnetic field of Earth. Not atmospheric pressure. Pressure sensor is only in more expensive phones included
