While I am still waiting for the shipping mail from 1saleaday.com...
I kept looking for the case here and found these 2 the most people r buying.
Which one do u choose and...why ~

I have the first of the two and love it. Got it for $9 on Ebay with free shipping
I am also waiting on my View from 1saleaday. And as far as the case I'm also going to buy the one from the first link (HHI). Its not real leather but that's no biggie for me. The BLUREX looks very good and a little more compact but it doesn't have portrait mode and I want to have that option.
I just bought the second one the other day... Should be arriving Thursday... I will post a review after I experiment with it...
I've had the Blurex since I received my View from 1SaleADay back in December. I'm usually not one for folio cases, but this one is fantastic. The fit is perfect, the quality is great, it looks nice, and it doesn't add a lot of bulk. It's just an all-around great case. The deciding factors for me were the size and the overwhelming amount of positive reviews in the forums here and on other sites.
The 1st, 360 style case, is poor quality in my opinion. Both are thin leather knockoff.
I would get a rubberized back like this:

And then an 8-9 inch sleeve like this:

Cases
I got my View from 1saleaday in December. (I just ordered 2 more from the recent sale for the kids)
I ordered 3 cases in december:
1) The 360 degree rotating case listed here
2) A case very similar to the Blurex except rather than fake leather it's a carbon fiber texture. http://www.amazon.com/BoxWave-Steal...7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327526675&sr=1-7
3) A rubberized plastic shell (like you'd get for a cell phone nearly identical to the one recommended a few posts back by jamus28)
For me.. I want something that adds as little bulk as possible, while protecting the unit including the screen. The perfect case for me would be identical to the one they make for the Kindle Fire here: http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Lightw...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327527632&sr=1-1 But thats not an option for the View / Flyer.
So The 360 degree case (1): Well made, Solid Feel, But a bit unstable trying to stand the device up in portrait mode. It's top heavy and falls backward easy. The case is overall very good. It's less bulky than I thought it would be. I'm not at all disappointed.
The Carbon Fiber case (2): (similar to the blurex style) This is the case I settled on and use. It's the least bulky, well made, and offers superb protection. It does not rotate but that helps it be less bulky. I love this case and I'm very happy with it.
The Rubberized Shell (3): the lightest of the 3 but Not for me. It adds bulk as any case does, but it has no real screen protection. It is the most comfortable when using the device since there is no cover to fold back. It does not have a stand if you like to watch video on it though. I knew I'd dislike it when I got it, but it was cheap... so I gave it a shot. For some.. it might be the perfect case.
Thanks for all recommendation
I ordered Blurex and have prime shipping!
The sad thing is the estimated shipping for the view is next monday...
I know you already made your choice - but thought I would throw in my two cents anyway as I own both.
Both cases are very nice. Here are some of the differences:
Blurex - a little less bulky than 360. I like the pen holder on the bottom rather than side but since it is leather it does not hold the pen as well
360 - the "hole" in the back makes it a little easier to hang on to if you are walking around with it. As x51 mentioned, it's not that stable in portrait mode (but the blurex doesn't go into portrait at all as a stand). Pen holder on side is elastic and holds the pen much better.
I use the Blurex around the house and the 360 when on the job. Both are nice cases and fit well.
Hope this helps someone.

I got my "Shipped" email yesterday.. I'm expecting them to arrive Tuesday-ish
Though you've already ordered, I'll just add that I've owned both cases. Currently I use the blurex (earlier model without the pen carrier). The swivel case is a neat idea, but adds too much bulk, IMHO. I was especially annoyed by the ring on the back (part of the swivel mechanism) that sticks out about a quarter of an inch and makes the tablet look like it's hovering just off the table when you set it down.
I like my Case-Mate Versant ($16 from Case-Mate site). Had the 360 and returned it, the design was too flimsy and didn't feel solid/sturdy enough. Though the Versant doesn't offer portrait mode, I realize I don't really use docked portrait much so it doesn't matter much to me. Just throwing it out there as an option for you if you need to get an alternative case to the Blurex. By the way, the Boxwave (carbon fiber-esque) case looks cool too.

So I received my Transformer custom leather case yesterday. It came out beautifully. The leather is very high-quality and I will have a tablet case for many years to come, even when the Transformer is replaced.
I have a bunch of pictures attached so you can see the case. I have some of the top, back, interior, and the tablet loaded into the case. I can send anybody higher resolution pictures if requested.
So as some of you may have read in the original post, I wanted to see if anybody would like one made as well. Cost will be $100 bucks and shipping should only be around 15 bucks. Yes, it is expensive, but this case will protect well, look great doing it, and last forever.
Feel free to ask me any questions. If you are game, PM your details and we can do the transaction via Paypal. Lead time will be about two weeks.
Original Post:
I really like leather slip cases and was looking all-over the interwebs for something to fit my transformer. I found a full-grain leather slip case from a leather goods maker in the States that is really good looking but it was sized for an iPad. I contacted them and they said they would not make a custom size so I started looking for custom leather goods makers in Singapore (where I live). Lo and behold, I found somebody here and I am going to meet with him this week or next so he can custom fit my transformer.
The case will be full-grain leather with nice stitching around the edges and a sheep-skin inner lining. It should be something similar to the images I have posted. With the thickness of the leather and having the extra outer stitching, it should have a some nice protective qualities as well.
Since proper Transformer cases are fairly hard to come by and the quality can be "meh" in some of them, would anybody like to pool with me and do a bulk order. I was quoted around 100 USD to get the case custom made for me but with the the power of XDA, I bet we get that down. The quality and longevity of a case like this would outlast your transformer and the generic aspect of it would allow it to be used for many things, including some new tablet down the road. I am going to have one made either way, but I felt like I should extend this opportunity to the rest of y'all.
Shipping from Singapore can be expensive but I bet I could fit these in a padded envelope and get them moving around the world for about 12-15 bucks in shipping.
looks interesting.
I am interested, will they be able to add a small pocket for a stylus and spare memory card?
I had thought about doing something like that, but in efforts to keep things simple I had not asked for that. My original thought was to make a pocket on one side that was about half or two-thirds the height of the full case, but same width.
I imagine that since it is a custom leather shop, they could do it but the cost would most rise a bit for the extra leather / labor? Any way you could take one of the pictures and draw on it to explain visually what you are thinking?
FYI, I am going there today to talk with them and get measured. I will report back on what kind of extra costs a pocket would be and just my initial impressions overall.
So the leather that they will be using is a nice soft but thick nubuck brown leather. It will age great and show a nice patina as it is used. He also puts in a thin padding under the sheepskin lining. Bonus!
The case will be rectangular and not have the dip on the open end like the original pictures I posted. As far as the pocket for a stylus/memory card, the design would have to change quite a bit and the cost will rise by 20 to 40. He did not give an exact figure. I think the single piece of leather folded on it self would be much classier anyway.
It is going to be a couple of weeks before I get it but I will post more pictures when it arrives and anyone interested can let me know and I will make a bulk order.

Bump so you guys can get in on the leather case. You will not be disappointed.
100 bucks seems extremely high priced for what looks to be 20 bucks worth of material and 4 quick stitches.

Ok, then you go buy the raw full-grain leather, the sheepskin leather lining, thin padding to go between the two layers and make one. I guarentee that yours will not look like this. This was custom made and cut for the Transformer by a leather craftsman. High quality is not cheap. I was willing to pay this. I would bet others would too.

I too think this is too expensive for what it is. I appreciate its good quality leather but its just a sleeve type case. If it was a custom made one similar to folio style cases, I would not mind paying that kind of price. It just seems there is not enough leather for the buck so to say.
100 bucks? I've had real leather coats for as much.... no way worth 100. 40-50 sure I can see it... being custom and all.... but not willing to pay 1/4 the price of my tablet for a case.

Just received the rooCASE Slim Fit from PC Micro via Amazon.com. Sorry, I can't yet post links, so the product title is: rooCASE Slim-Fit (Black) Folio Case Cover with Multi Adjustable Viewing Angles for Asus Eee Pad Transformer 10.1-Inch TF101 Android Tablet Wi-Fi.
I had been looking for a while for a case with clips that would leave the bottom edge open so that one could dock the tablet without taking it off, so I was excited to try it out. My initial feelings are very positive.
It's PU leather, so while not top grain, it's still pretty supple and smooth. The leather is also slightly padded, so the case is comfortable to hold. The reinforced edges are crisp and straight, so there's not a lot of give or bend. The interior is a soft, padded microfiber. The foam is pretty firm, so it seems like it might retain its shape fairly well.
Structurally, the tablet is held in by two clips on each side, one each holding the top corners (when in landscape) and the main clip about 2/5 of the way down each side. On the bottom corners, there are clips, but they're more like corner protectors as they're there to guide the tablet when the case is closed.
Setting the tablet in the first two grooves felt good. The furthest groove which puts the screen in the flattest position though doesn't hold very well. This is because the rounded back of the tablet near the edge doesn't let it sit all the way into the groove. This doesn't bother me though since I don't see myself wanting to use it that flat. It actually sits nicely on my lap in the middle groove, so it's nice to be able to prop up the tablet without having to rely upon the dock.
Speaking of which, swinging the bottom edge of the tablet away from the case allows it to easily connect to the dock. Before receiving the case, I wondered whether the clip that holds it closed would get in the way. In actuality, it props up the keyboard rather well -- the keyboard rests flat between being propped up on the clip and because of the way the dock hinge props up the rear of the keyboard. Alternatively, the case cover folds back out of the way easily as well, and kind of works to support the screen a little bit. This configuration is probably better suited for a desk vs. one's lap, but I'll have to experiment a little bit.
I'm interested to see how I like using it over time, but for right now, this case has potential. I was worried about the clips: whether they'd be too weak (they're not) and whether they'd prevent the case from folding flat (they don't). I like that they hold the tablet securely in place, without the need to have the bezel surrounded/covered by leather.
The overall look resembles a small notebook/portfolio and the branding is understated -- just an embossed rooCASE logo in the lower right.
It seems like the case will protect the tablet from accidental bumps and bruises, give it a sleek appearance and quench my thirst for a higher end case until Noreve or Piel Frama attempt to separate me from my money. We'll have to see how durable it winds up being -- right now, the surface seems to repel light scratches pretty well.
Overall, for $30 I'm pretty pleased. And it comes with a small capacitive stylus, that connects to the tablet via a small plastic plug that fits into the 3.5mm jack. Shipping was via USPS and took just two days from CA to the east coast.
Lots of pics to follow.
More pics.
Last two.

Can't wait for mine to arrive!
Mine came in yesterday as well. I am extremely happy with it, I did not anticipate being able to dock it with the case on, so all the best. The bundled stylus from roocase is just the cherry on top!
damn thats nice
It's great news that there's finally a decent case that you don't have to remove in order to be able to dock with the keyboard. Hopefully more manufacturers start making cases in this design.
EDIT: Hmm I have a theory... if you buy one of those cases with velcro at the bottom, could you theoretically dock it without taking off the case by just unattaching the velcro? Can anyone confirm or deny?
Can you fold it up in the dock with the case on?

This is the first case I have seen that uses clips to hold the Transformer, instead of a leather or fabric frame of some sort. I was beginning to think there weren't any out there. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for the review, I was waiting to see if you could plug the dock with the case on..

The Acase one is eligible for Amazon Prime. It can be in my grubby paws tomorrow.
Just received one.
I originally bought the regular multi-angle roocase version. As soon as this slim-fat was announced, I unloaded that one and pre-order this one.
They delayed the shipment for 1 week but refunded my $5 shipping charge (nice). I like this slim-fat version a lot. It's the best case I've seen (I need some protection, but I really hate to cover-up the beauty of the Tab).
Received mine today. I echo everything that the OP noted. Very nice and exactly what I was looking for.
I just ordered the $18.95 Poetic one with free shipping. I can wait a few days and save $16
I have a cheapy $12 case now from ebay. Gets the job done, but with my ghetto cutting of the area around the light sensor and front camera, it looks just a wee bit unprofessional.
Thank you for the informative review. You may have just convinced me to buy a second case.
I already have this on order it shipped out yesterday so I'm hoping it arrives soon, and after your review and all the great pics. I hope it comes even faster now. Thanks for your time in making this, good info.

I unfortunately do not have that kind of patience. Case ordered and overnighted. My TF will finally have a case that doesn't hide it.
Mine arrived today too. OP is spot on - this is a great case; clean lines, excellent fit and looks sharp.
There is no slot at the bottom to connect to the charger, so to charge it, I have to lay it face up w/ the cover open.
Has anyone tried this case? What are your opinions on it. The only thing I feel is lacking is a kickstand to angle your tablet towards you, like the journal/portfolio type cases do.anyone haves solution for this? Or know of a case similar to the aegis that will do what I'm describing?
http://www.goodandevo.net/2011/09/review-trident-aegis-case-for-the-htc-evo-view-4g.html
I've. Read that review. Its one thing to read a review written after one day's use and another to hear the opinion of someone who's been using it for a while.
But I'm still looking for a similar kind of case with a kick stand.
I have one and I really like it. I love the detachable stylus holder. I can remove it when I want to game or otherwise use the tablet in landscape mode. It does offer good protection.
How much bulk does it add? Does it collect a lot of dust?
I ordered one and I should be getting it today or tomorrow. I'll update this thread with a quick opinion soon.

I posted a long reply with a link to a picture I took of the case and when I posted, told me I can't post links yet and nuked my whole reply..
(Ok, had some food and time to retype my post)
I've been using one for about a month now, I tried a few of the protective "hard use" cases out there hunting for the most protection I could find for my View but had no luck till I found the Aegis.
Overall its been great, I'm ultimately waiting for the Defender from Otterbox to come out as I need the most protection I can get for my device but this will do nicely till then for the most part.
They did a good job of of making the case fit the Evo View tightly, making for a pretty svelte case for the amount of protection it gives.
One small thing about the fit, the bottom lip of the silicon part catches on things sometimes and has developed a tiny bit of sag because of it but it's nothing major. I can't post links yet but if you look at the pic I posted at umf dot net/View/View_Aegis.jpg you can see the slight sag in the rubber part along the bottom edge of the screen (hope the pictures not too blurry)
As far as smudges, its held up pretty well on the rubber parts, some smudging but most of it "rubs" out with my finger if I really wanted to clean it. The hard plastic parts of course look pretty much new but then again I put the device
inside a small Maxpedition pouch before throwing into my pack so I don't exactly "abuse" the case.
So all in all, while its not Defender or Ballistic HC level of protection, for the minimal bulk it adds it's still a very sturdy case and works great for "around town" I still plan to purchase a Defender case for "in the field" type activities (hopefully Pelican or Otterbox will come up with a water/crush proof case to fit 7" tablets into for more "extreme" activities) but I am very satisfied with the Aegis as well and will continue to use it whenever I don't need that ultra level of protection (or bulk) that the Defender will provide.
Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot! I acutally ordered mine a few days ago, and I expect it to come tomorrow. I'm replacing this leather folio case for the Aegis. One thing I will really miss is the flap that covers the screen as well as the ability to have the tablet angled up like a stand. Its very convenient when I'm reading at a desk or watching a movie.
Yea I guess that's the main reason I still kinda baby the View while in the Aegis case, the screen feels vulnerable. A hard plastic cover that snapped on the front that also somehow snapped on the back and provided a kickstand would pretty much cover all the bases.
I just ordered one, should be here tomorrow. Got tired of waiting for Otterbox to get their **** together. Would love to see Ballistic make a case for it, but they probably wouldn't see a return on the investment of case design and manufacture for this tablet.
Got it!! It's a little fiddley around the volume and power buttons, but once you get that worked out, it's not a bad case!
yea I posted on both Otter and Ballistics Fb pages and at first both said no, was happy to see Otter decide to make a defender but yea, a Ballistic HC style case is what I would really like so I can just toss it in my pack without a second thought.
I have a Trident case and it is OK...not as heavy duty as a Kraken case or even a Cyclops but my 5 year old stood on it and has tossed it around a bit on the carpet and it has been fine. Was I upset? Yes! The case is more for protecting against scratches and light bumps....not for a little rockstar in the making!
I own the aegis case and it's nice. Keeps my device safe and i paid $25 for it from Amazon. Looking forward to a defender series but in no hurry now

I was hoping for a Cyclops series Trident case but since Aegis is all they offer I grabbed it from amazon for $25 and I'm pretty happy with it.
It was a bit of a pain to get the hard plastic shell over the silicone case (I entered hboot several times) but since I've had it on, I really like it. I just wish they didn't leave that bit of an exposed area if you don't use the stylus mount.
I was between the army green, red or cyan blue, and went with the cyan blue. I like the contrast, and it looks great.
Good

This is a pretty decent hybrid case. I uploaded a few pictures to Amazon to give more people a better chance to see what it looks like since the seller only uploaded a picture of the back, and I have the only review on Amazon as well if you want to hear what I thought about it. Basically, it's a good fit but I'm not the biggest fan of how it feels in my hand and how much thickness it adds. I honestly feel like they could have made the silicone thinner where it's covered by hard plastic and reduced the overall thickness by a lot. It's not the end of the world, but we'll see how long I have it on there before I take if off and go all slim-n-sexy again.
Also, for whatever reason Amazon didn't like my picture of the packaging so I'm attaching a picture of the mailer it comes in and the packaging you have to open. It's pretty standard stuff, but it's here for you to look at just in case.
Edit: Typo.
How do the buttons feel?

This is the case I decised on too. I works, very light, but I'm not sure how much protection it offers. Coming from a Seidio Active case on an iPhone 4, this is a let down, but there aren't many choices. I'd rate it a 6 overall

Agreed - But there's not much case love for the AT&T OG so we're at the mercy of this type of case unless Seidio or Otterbox or such changes their mind about making something for us.
I got this case off eBay, just received it yesterday. For a case being under $10 its not bad and I feel it will protect it from a mild drop just fine. Also the silicone on the front has a raised lip so if you set the phone face down its not on the screen. The only real down side is that the case covers the power button so no notification light now.
I'll add pictures of mine, since its blue might be easier to see then the black case.

How does the case feel?
I purchased the one from Ventev that looks identical to this case. I sent that one back because the "TPU" it said the case was made of was really hard kinda felt like plastic. That made the buttons hard to push. Is the rubber the case made out of hard or soft like tradition TPU? I want this case because I like the two layers of protection but I dont want another case that was like the Ventev case. For now I have the Diztronic case on it and I took the plastic shell off the Belkin case and it fit over the Diztronic TPU case with little force and its like a makeshift Otterbox Commuter.

I just replaced mine with the Fusion Hybrid, I like it much better...
After only like 2 weeks, the "silicone" was stretching. It's actually more like a molded foam, and the plastic hard shell only holds it to the phone in a few areas. The plastic shell on the Fusion Hybrid actually seems to be a lot more stiff and holds it on three sides. The silicone feels a lot better on the new case as well, seems more dense...
For less than $10, neither is terrible, but I'd spend on the Fusion Hybrid...
starting this because i know there are some of us out there who require such a case. Thought we could save each other some time and/or grief and report what's available, what's shipping, what ad hoc solutions we've found, etc.

Good thread! I just pulled for the Moko. Not only is it supposed to be here Wed, it's a bit cheaper. I use a Steelie in the car and I don't like having the magnet on the phone and in my pocket so instead of having two cases I will just put the Steelie mount on the belt case clip and use it while in the car. For day-to-day I'll use the Moko and not have to worry about switching cases. I hope this works with Qi too.
The Steelie works great in the car as a mount. For the Moto X 2013 I can leave the case with the magnet on and NFC tap-to-pay works. With the OnePlus One, the magnet works great and NFC works but tap-to-pay will not work with the magnet in place. That means if I want to tap-to-pay I have to use a case without the Steelie. I think this Moko arrangement will work a lot better since I won't have to keep changing cases.
Just ordered the case from amazon referred to above.. For 6 bucks, free shipping with prime, and expedited delivery, it's worth giving it a shot. Seems to come in two parts, a protective case plus a seperate belt clip holster for sliding the device in and out of.

from the pics it looks to have a belt clip... the only thing im not to fancy on is the built in screen protector and its added size... everything else looks good IMHO
Seidio Convert
This case is not available or even announced yet, but I'm guessing it's probably in the works right now. In my opinion, Seidio makes the most rugged case for Nexus phones, called the Convert, which comes with a holster/belt clip. I had one for my N4, which got stolen :crying:, and currently have it on my N5 (pic below). If Otterbox had made their Defender case for my Nexuses, I probably would have gotten that instead. The Convert has no built in screen protector and is kind of pricey, but has major protection.

seidio is mia. i ve emailed them a dozen times with nothing more than "we're looking into it". can't wait. got the moko case and it looks like a winner, esp for $2
I ordered the moko for 2 dolla. Mainly just for when I'm at work. I ordered a dbrand skin for the back too. Hopefully it won't interfere with the case fitting. If it does...the case was 2 dollars. Lol.
actually...that moko case is a damn fine case. looks like it will do everything i need it to do. of course, i don't have the fn nexus 6 yet to test it in the field, but it looks like it'll do the job just fine. best $2 case EVER...
I would love seidio to make a case for the nexus 6 but all I got was the generic response too. " we are looking in to it". Its too bad because I love their spring clip on their holsters. I looked into moko and unicorn beetle but didn't like the release of either if them. The spring clip from seidio is the best.
received the i-blason case today. i thought it was identical to the moko case but there are several key differences to note:
1. rubber section is far thicker and of a better quality than the moko. the moko was driving me crazy with the amount of dust it was attracting. this one is a much harder/more durable rubber. it's MUCH better
2. having said that, because its thicker, the buttons are a bit harder to press, particularly the power. works perfectly mind you, just takes a bit more effort to press
3. the hard shell is slicker than the moko. hopefully this will wear off soon as its fairly slippery as it stands now
4. the belt clip section is a clip in rather than a slide in. only got it tonight so i have yet to try it in the field. seems secure enough, though not as secure as the slide in of the moko. the advantage here though is i can take this out of the clip MUCH faster than the moko
5. if you have the moko, you can use this on the moko slide in belt clip if you prefer. i'm going to try the clip in holster for a bit to see how i like it
overall, a very solid alternative to the moko, particularly if you were getting annoyed by the cheap rubber collecting dirt
I got the SupCase Unicorn Beetle from amazon on sell for $12 taxes n shipped yesterday, actually received my nexus yesterday too. I got that price because the case wasn't out yet when I ordered it so it had them listed for $7.99 at the time.
So far I am very impressed with the quality. The built in screen protector is actually useful and doesn't hinder the screen at all. I did notice a bit of glare under certain lighting but nothing too annoying.
It does come with a belt clip and its a bit different from what I had on my note 2 but so far its functional and very sturdy product. Highly recommend.
well seidio finally has a nexus 6 page now. still coming soon and notify me crap, but its a start i guess

i really hope for a Seidio Dilex and holster combo!
Combination
I like to show off my Nexus and I have had too many bad experiences with belt clips with single clips. My combo is this Spigen case http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OH4I7UU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2SFKRF5TPZMT5 and this holster http://www.amazon.com/Nexus-Holster-Pouch-Protector-Cover/dp/B00OX3Z89S/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1419472114&sr=8-7&keywords=case+for+belt+nexus+6

Just ordered one. Cannot wait for it to arrive. I have had a UAG case on it since day one and I cannot take photos with the flash on. It leaves a smoky affect in the photos. How are photos with the flash on with the supcase?

Please, if you have any other cases laying around, let us know if the holster would work with the Surface holster. On past phones, I know I could get other cases (not all) to work with Surface and Dilex holsters. I have the Supcase hybrid case now. If Amazon were selling the holster, Id buy it in a heartbeat to test, because I know I could easily return it to Amazon.
I got my Unicorn Beetle Pro this past monday and I'm impressed with the quality. The only real complaint that I have about it is that they didnt flatten out the back of the case so that the phone lays flat on a table or something. Most annoying thing ever to lay your phone on the desk and try to do something on it only to have it start wobbling away.
crackberry.com has the seidio active case for 31.95, ships 1/22, use coupon code JB15 for 10% off NOTE. The cases and holsters are sold seperately, great if you just want the holster, or just the case.
