Pushing an apk.tho root explorer

What are the steps to push apk tho root explorer? I have a wiget picker apk.if I put it in my system / apps what happens to the old wiget picker? Or do I replace the old one with the new apk?

So take the old one move it to another folder and paste the new one in system / apps then that's it?

By push it u mean just move it rite? Or copy and paste?

Don't get wrapped up on terminology. Push just means to place or paste in the system/app folder. Just a fancier way to say it.
Thanks still new to all this

This is makin its way into all new releases, and thats awesome cuz its such a great feature. Its really a behind the scenes sorta thing. Root explorer is your friend and push/pullin files is really simple just be careful if pullin out of /system, as noted make backups of any originals just in case. And always remember to have a nandroid of ur current firmware.

Bluetooth receive only media files.

My device is atrix. It doesn't receive apk files, it receive only pics, videos, and music only. Is there any solution for this problem. Thx

I know I was having problems downloading (some) APKs from the browser before installing "Download All Files" from the Android Market. Not sure if this works with BT also, but its worth a try.

How to attach files using Browser

Hi Guys,
I use a website where I have to attach file using browser (i.e. I can't use Email app or any other). I can only use Browser to send files but default android browser shows me only three type of files; Audio, Picture, and Video Files but the files I have to send is like .doc , .xls , .ppt ... so, what's the solution for this issue? I have Root Explorer installed, but the option is not there so that I could chose specific file to attach.
I tried Dolphin Browser to attach files as well but no help!
I look forward to hearing from someone.
Thanks!
Is my query so hard no one is replying...

You might need some sort of office suite. I am using office suite pro, which is not free. If I am not wrong, only the Gmail and email app allows you to attach ppt and docs.

You can attach every type of file using opera mobile

Use opera mini/mobile. It has a built on browser that can let you upload anything form sd. Or install something like ES File Explorer. It should work!

Picture location

Ok I have another question. I transferred all my pics from my last phone to the DNA and they don't show up in the gallery app. They show up in quickpic though. Any wait to get them to show up there?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
If you're rooted, try using file explorer to move the pictures from wherever they are to the gallery directory. Otherwise, send them to yourself and download them to the phone again.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Try clearing cache on the gallery, or restart the phone and open it.
Make sure there isn't a .nomedia file in the directory of the pictures.
If all else fails you can move them to the default picture location, and you don't have to be rooted as the guy above me seems to think.
But the default gallery app seems to be really good for me about detecting pics.

Download an app called rescan media from the play store, it'll fix your problem. :good:

Thanks everyone. Ill try a few of those

I didn't say he had to be rooted, I just said that it would make the process easier. He can just as easily send himself the pictures from the other app and download them to his gallery. OP, you should try whatever suggestion you think works best.
