I ditched my iPad for my Transformer Prime and I couldn't be happier that I did but there's one specific feature on the iPad's Safari browser that I miss dearly, and it might seem negligible to some but I used it daily on my iPad.
When viewing a page in Safari that included text, Safari gave you a "Reader" button on the address bar and if you tapped that button, Safari transformed the page into a more readable format... like a book. Here's how it looked:

The stock browser on our Primes doesn't have a feature like this and I've tried many many many browsers from the market (Dolphin, Firefox, Skyfire, Xscope, etc) and haven't found one yet that has this feature (Dolphin Browser has a plug-in to do just this but the plug-in doesn't work and it hasn't been updated in quite a while, and Firefox has a "Readability" plug-in as well but that one doesn't work very well either).
My question is, do you guys know of a browser on Android ICS that does this? I'll bake you a cookie if you do, I promise!
Installing Firefox and get Readability extension?
This is a very cool feature!
Currently, I just use ReadItLater. But, it's not instant within the browser like the feature you describe.

I forgot to include it in the OP that I tried that as well and Firefox's Readability doesn't seem to work very well either. Have a look at what it did to this Engadget page:

I use ReadItLater as well and love it but like you said, it's not instant, and the bigger issue I have with it is that it doesn't seem to play nice with the LiveJournal blogs I read. For example: I'll add a page from a LiveJournal blog to my ReadItLater list and ReadItLater will instead capture the login screen or the "mature content" screen and there doesn't seem to be a way to get past that. It's infuriating.

This app was born to be run on the Streak. Been reading Wanted, on which the 2008 film was based (sortof). The Streaks large, vivid screen rocks it completely!!
Lots of free web comics on a website called PKD Media (dot) com and all over teh netz.
It's great until my CBR files have a double page spread and it cannot open it.
I love this app also - just converted my collection of Asterix and Tintin for my daughter and she loves them! I barely get to use my device now since I got it as she is always on it reading books and comics!
:-(
I used this app to read manga its awesome
Double pages were a bit of a pain. In the main though I found that setting it to "Fit Width" made every very readable.

Nope. Mine still comes up with the 'oops' Unable to load imahge' Message.
Every time it hit's a double page and you can't read any further.
Thats a shame cos otherwise its a good bit of software. Maybe an email to the Devs?
I use myComics on my Streak!
Give myComics for Android app a try!
It's great and optimized for devices with small screens.
The speech balloons' pop up zoom is priceless.

Perfect Viewer
Perfect Viewer for me is the best comic viewer. Awesome on the streak, try it, set it up to your liking. you can set different parts of the screen to a different function, like fit to height, fit to width, next page, previous page, auto rotate, fixed orientation, automatically opens next book upon completion, supports cbr cbz and many others.
It can open 2 page spreads no sweat.
Where is the link to download it?
Sent from my Dell Streak using xda premium
Code:

Perfect Viewer is the best for me. It also has a pdf-plugin to view pdf-files. It opens even large pdf-files (>50mb) very fast. Also no problems wirh cbr, cbz and picture folders. Amd a nice bookshelf to organize your comic library.

When I am using the Prime, it seems I can only use 1 window at a time.
Example: if I stream from Youtube, and want to check "WiFi analyzer or Speedtest", the stream is interrupted.
Is there a way that the tablet can allow me to have several task running, like in the above example or similar?
Well for that example you listed you can get an app called stickit. It allows you to watch your videos or streams while doing whatever else you want. Its just like a PC when you bring up a movie screen then you can resize it and move it all over tthe screen. For example I can be browsing the web while watching the video in the little screen. You can make screen as big or small as you want. It plays continuously and doesn't stop no matter what you doing. The screen follows you wherever you go until you close it.
Here is screenshot example I just took. Love this app.

Anyway, yeah, there's no stock way to do what you want. Demandarin, that's a great app! I just don't understand why ICS doesn't have such things built in, you'd think they'd be trying to push true multi-tasking at the user's discretion.
Seems to me that Google's just not trying to replace PC's like I'd like them to. I love messing around with my x86 Honeycomb (beats the hell out of Windows 8).

Wow! Thanks for the tip. I thought I was going to have to wait for Cornerstone for something like this. Does Stickit work with any stream app or site?
I'm looking for an agenda with flippable pages, like the one of ipad. Does such a thing exist for our tabs?
Try the pro version of the Wizz widget from the Market.
I meant something eye candy, with flippable pages like a real book. Like the ipad one

Can you be more specific? I believe most of the colors are customizable other than the tabs and some of the buttons.

You have received my pm?
Hi everyone.
I was wondering if there's a way to resize an Android application. I don't mean resizing the resolution, but I mean literally resizing the application so it only fits part of the screen.
Given the flexibility of Android I'd imagine this is possible, even though it would probably require root (isn't a problem for me).
You might be wondering why on earth I'd want this - well, simply put, it would be fantastic for multitasking. Nowadays there's a whole load of popup applications on the Play Store. But if say I run a popup video and browse the web, whenever I scroll to the top of the webpage, then half of that webpage will be covered up by the popup application. It quickly becomes more of a hassle than it's worth, because I'll have to keep moving around the popup video.
But if I could just force the browser to only take up half the screen, then I can very easily multitask with them.
So is this possible? Thanks in advance to anyone who has any info.
There are a few multi-tasking apps on the market but trust me, they all suck. I also have been looking into this and apparently this is harder done then said to have something like Samsung's Multi-Window.

That's a shame. I agree in regards to the popup apps though, it seems like anyone who makes them has no clue what even 'UI' means, haha. But irregardless it'd be really handy for this, since there are one or two actually handy popup apps.
So anyone else know of a way?
Why don't you use pie controls?
Edit: What kind of "multitasking" are you looking to do exactly?

Here's a good example of what I mean:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As you can see half the screen takes up for a notes app, and half the screen takes up the browser. What I'm looking for would be something similar, or in the case I described, a potentially easy fix - shrinking down one app to only take up half the screen and using another popup app to take up the other half of the screen to mimic multitasking. It doesn't have anything to do with Pie.
Understand what I mean now?
Hi this is my favourite App! But has adds in it apparently. Not seen any so far but how do i check remove any lines with an editor?.. The Mod versions online reminders dont work.. and the app icon is changed... . I cant seem to see any adds in it anyone good at removing adds in it , be appreciated . Thanks.

It's global. It will block double click ads (not a bad thing), sometimes other mild glitches and may slow browsing down a bit on some sites. Close browser/reopen or refresh the page normally fixes it if it acts up. The very few sites it totally blocks probably should be avoided.
I rarely disable it. Been using it a couple months now.
