You don't. Once it's flashed, it is the new version unless you reflash the old one, I believe.

Basically what it does is put a nicer background onto the screen. The selection process is still the same, with the volume keys to choose which OS to boot into. It is still in the center of the screen. Took a screenshot of mine.

Heres a working CWM 6 for you guys, used the build server, it works fine, but doesnt have a install from internal storage option.... anybody that could assist with that would be much appriciated

I can't test sideload or USB mount as my USB port is broken on my view, but it installs zips fine, just no internal sd

I dont have the EVO View any more, before i got rid of it, i got twrp to the "TeamWin" screen, but it wouldnt actually go into the main recovery, sorry.

Press the recent apps button > Wallpaper > Live wallpaper or Mi Wallpaper and download some.

@nightwalkerkg Thanks for the reply. I tried that. But when I flash the miui zip, it says flash failed. I think something has to change in META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script. Not sure though.
I haven't even received OTA to update. CID J__15, Middle East.

Hmmm,that is wierd,i flashed the same zip and it was working just fine.
Try to restart the recovery and then to flash it,sometimes it just tends to bug.

I am not sure about opx..but I had used it In my previous device..and its worked..if you are on custom ROM then hopefully it will work..give a try.

I think it won't work with that one, because the devices have different pictures to replace.
Someone would have to make one for the OPX...

Or better just copy the pack.txt in the folder,rename to pack.bat and run it.
Also made the logo for you.

I did this on accident not that long ago, mine says oppo rather than oneplus now. I'm not sure how to change it back though

Here's the TWRP Recovery adapted by Can Xin from Chinese 7to forum.
It's the same recovery adapted for Nokia 5.

When you attempt to root Nokia 5, load official firmware for Nokia 5 instead.
UPDATE: Uploaded screenshots.

In fact the screenshot it the same to the recovery for Nokia 6. You can take a look to the guide I posted on Nokia 6 Development forum.

It works on any variant of Nokia 5 in theory.
And sorry for your wondering, I've put the recovery for Nokia 8 by mistake. Now I replaced with the correct one.

I can confirm it works. BUT. My widgets from home screen disappeared and there is no way to add them (long press does nothing). Nor can I long-press on apps in the drawer to delete/add to the home screen.
I do not know if this is TWRP issue, or root or I did anything else to do that, but it doesn't work now
Installed on 7.1.1 (September's patch).

yeah I had this issue it seems to be installed just can't boot to it but I downloaded TWRP app from play store and used the app to boot recovery
can flash orginal recovery after root?(for install update)or the phone be damaged?

Like it's very sluggish. Like when I tap the power button takes like 5 seconds to respond. Same thing whenever I try to.open an app or setting takes a long delay before it responds.
