Hi All,
I have upgraded my Huawei U8500 Ideos X2 to Gingerbread 2.3.3 from Froyo 2.2.1. After updating, I found that there is no Market application attached with 2.3.3. Also I have installed the Market apk but when I open it, it is asking for any Device account. So I went to Settings -> Account and Sync -> Add Account. I entered my valid gmail credentials but its asking for "Domain/Username, Password & Server" information in next step. Hence I am not able to use Market.
Also I can't able to install my all previous market apps from web portal due to history settings kept by google.
Can anyone let me know if any one of below is possible?:
1. How to downgrade to Froyo 2.2.1 from Gingerbread 2.3.3?
2. If downgrade not possible then how to get market and other google apps do work?
Please help me as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Priyank Shah

I could install the apps to my HTC HD2 Android with CM7 before. After I flash my device to the AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB2.3.7 CM7.2, I tried to reinstall the apps from my Market Place profile but it reported my device was not compatible to that apps. I directly download the apps and need to install the apps as non-Market apps? The apps work fine.
My question is why the apps report incompatible with my device? Not only one apps has this problem, what should I do to solve this?
Best regards,
Kelvin.
App Compatibility
Which apps have you tried re-installing?
Perhaps they aren't yet compatible with something updated in GB 2.3.7?
When they were running, what OS version was on your device?
For example the Adobe Reader. PasswordWallet, SyncMate (as I can't post the URL in the reply, apps is easily to search it out from Google)
One of the most popular instant messager in China, the QQ also reports Parse error (There is a problem parsing the package) and cannot be installed.
They claimed this firmware 2.3.7 which was optimized by non-official source.
Any suggestion that I can do the installation?
Best regards,
Kelvin.
Hi everyone. I'm new on android so this issue confuses my mind. If i have to download an older version of an application, how can i find an older version of it. For instance the newest version of "A" application is 2.2.1. But i want to do downgrade/download the older version for instance 2.1.0. How can i get it? From apk sites or such like that?
If so what is the widest and best apk sites for this to download ??
Thanks for your replies...
contact the app developer and ask for it is probably the easiest/quickest route

Thanks for your reply firstly. But i asked this question as a general knowledge. Before my new android phone, i was using the iOS and i know how to do it. (i knew the .ipa sources and methods) Also i did it sometimes. But in android i dont know any quality apk sources for instance for older versions of some base applications (that has receive lots of updates) whatsapp, instagram, facebook etc...
Many of the apk sites will be no more than Warez sites .
Google is always your best source of apks bearing in mind the above .
Possibly a search or an ask on XDA .
Old versions is not something normally asked for .

all the apps on play store have email contacts, so I would just email them direct

Any one has an idea???
Are you able to enable the sync from Settings?? i mean going to Accounts, choose your google account and then enable sync for whatever items you want...
If I go on my account they have nothing, no items.
That also I don't understand. They have no choise (gmail, calendar, Contact, ...).
Your issue is that your not running an official version of android on a knock off device. Maost likely out of china which doesnt have the ok from google to have google apps installed. I would try to find a clean official rom that works for your device and flash that. Then install gmail. It should work after that but no promises. Knock off devices always have issues.
I have check on internet and it simce that not an officiel device. I have also check for install another version of android but I don't have find one.
Have you find something other some one has an idea??
thanks you for your help
With the help of the development threat I updated my Lenovo K910 (dual sim) to version V1.5_1419 which contains Android 4.4.2. I put the full google-apps bundle on it via sideload as well as superuser. All works fine, but when I go through the settings menu to add an account, the "corporate" option to add my work-exchange email isn't there.
I also cannot find the "email" application on the phone. I was wondering if it's possible to install this still on top?
Thanks for you help in advance!
Found after a lot of searching the solution. First installed the Exchange services. After install it said that it crashed. I rebooted the phone and then installed the GoogleMail.apk and the email app is back and the services work. Push mail etc. all is working with my exchange account now
Here's the link I followed: www . androidpolice . com/2013/10/31/apk-download-heres-the-default-email-app-from-android-4-4-with-gmail-style-ui-and-a-slide-out-menu/#download
You should be proud and happy

I installed KK 1419 too and it seems to be OK and free of issues from previous versions of 4.4.2.
The main problem is or was that KK on k910 is somehow root resistant and gapps protected. I have searched many forums and none fixed it. But you succeed, so you are a hero, men . Pls specify step by step how to do it, because I want to fix that great phone finally and it seems to be easy after your great job. Do not loose any time to answer cause I am excited to have one vibezzzz working properly.
The issue of mailer is very strange. I am using MS exchange accounts too, so standard gmail application is useless for me as well.
Another issue with all of the roms for that phone is pure Chinese stock browser. There is a possibility to use chrome or opera of course, but standard browsers are usually local and fully flash compatible. Did you fixed it as well?
Congratulations once again :good::good::good:
Waiting for you response
