Hi everyone,
I just installed the CM9 preview compiled by Kang, it is really amazing, great work, thank you for that!
My problem is that just before installing it I downloaded ThinkFree Mobile for Tablet. It worked great but on the new rom it tells me that this app is not compatible with my device.
As I bought this app I would be quite happy to have it on my new rom !
Any ideas ?
Cheers guys!
up please
I'm thinking of modifying build.prop, but I don't know exactly what to change in it, and into what.
I would be grateful for a bit of help
Many thanks!

Are you sure the app is compatible with ICS? Perhaps the app developer hasn't updated it for pics yet? Might be worth finding out before you 'modify' your tab.

Your best bet is to contact the developer of the app as it's his job to make sure the app works on ICS. From the little I know about Java/Android there isn't anything you can do to ICS to make the app compatible, the app has to be ported.

I did google this first and still lost. I don't really know how to code, but I am determined too. I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with creating one, but I would like to take a bootanimation from the firefly captivate rom and turn that into a live wallpaper and have maybe some small little fireflys flying around. Can someone please help? Or point me in the right direction? I already downloaded eclipse and the SDK. am I missing anything? Thank you.

I'd like a link for it as well if you don't mind - I've searched Google and I've searched the Android Market and can't find it.
I didnt found any thing too.

I've seen interest in getting S-Note working on the CM9 release and wanted to share the status of my work. S-Note highly relies on the framework for an advanced clipboard service. I have worked part of today patching the missing bits from the touchwiz framework into the cyanogen framework and have resulted in the following 90% working S-Note.
Although it runs, and doesn't crash when accessing the clipboard anymore, I still receive an error and believe the service just hasn't started. Will update as I get further.
Thanks!
UPDATE
Worked out the advanced copy service, now working on the missing resources for the copy dialog. Who thought modifying the res apk would be harder than the rest? If you got tips besides apk tool let me know. The code patching is done.
UPDATE 6/5/2012
Finally had some time to work out the resources issue. Going to now out together build scripts to automate building / patching and update for the latest cm9 release. Will be looking for testers in the next week or so. PM me if interested.
Deserves thanks for just working on it

+1. Only thing stopping me from running CM9 on my note...well one of two...the other is a stable camera/video.
This is great to see.
I'll probably end up going AOSP or AOKP either way; but s-note and the s-calendar are what has me dragging my feet.
Thanks again

hi, thanks for your work with this snote premium on cm9.
i believe that your work will also include not only at&t but also the international version, am i right?
and if your work is ready for tests, maybe you can make a public beta, so everyone can test your project.
thanks again

Same here - using s-calendar more and more it seems.
This is very promising.
On CM9 right now and I never thought I'd miss the spen functions so much. Keep up the great work!
Really good work. Thanks.

Great Work !
At least those Nay Sayers are gone ...
I was really pissed off when people said that making it work is impossible.
Even if it was working 50% ok was great.
My kid loves playing with it; How can I tell her that I will go for cm9 and u play somewhere else..

Wish to donate ....

I highly doubt that. Stock ROMS dont contain the theme chooser or anything close to it. So Android Developers website is probably useless.
You might find the information you need here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=527
But i guess you already have been there ?
I also have been looking for a guide of some sort.
i found this post related to CM9, Which is where i want to get started.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773930
but i don't know if it is universal. meaning would that guide work on all AOSP roms.
Hi dear developers,
Im a totally noob at developing but Im pritty into the Android world...
Im having a web portal in croatia about android news, updates, games, apps, reviews phones, tablets and everything like that.
http://androidcek.com
This is my current app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wAndroidcekcom&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS53QW5kcm9pZGNla2NvbSJd
I did my app on the geyser.com for free, but I hate the about credits of the site and every single part where geyser.com is added.
I was woundereing if any developer can help me out and compile me a WebView app for my portal.
I dont have any money for that cause Im totaly new in the business with the portal and Im working alone ;(
The one and only thing I can offer is design. Everything on the website is designed by me and I can help some developer to make his ROM or anything else look better.
Sorry If I pasted this thread into the wrong section or whatever.
I hope I'll find someone out there!
Thx in advice guys!
Pm me and we can talk if you want a really basic app but cant pay im sure i can work something put

Hi Guys
I've just installed a new super lite ROM which seems pretty much perfect EXCEPT i'm missing two features of Samsung's "bloat"ware that I really like:
Blocking Mode
Stay Awake
I've tried Googling and failed miserably to locate these so, can anyone tell me where i can get these please? (Yes I know there are alternatives but i'd like to stay with apps I am happy with and that work for me)

Of they are only apks & libs you could extract them from a stock Rom and put them into yours I guess.

What is the ROM based on?
Is it Sammy or an AOKP based ROM?
If it's Samsung Based, I could take a Titanium Backup of it and send it across to you.

It's ReVolt ROM running AOKP (Whatever that is?) according to the Settings menu.

If it is not Samsung based but aokp it won't work as it needs Samsung framework.

Damn.... why is it the "perfect" ROM never exists. I've been flashing since windows 6.0 and NEVER found a ROM that's 100%
Guess I'll have to look for market place alternatives then.
Thanks for your help!

Try null Rom, using it now for some time and it combines somehow aokp and Samsung features quite well

There is no single perfect rom for everyone.. Everyone is different and has different needs or "cravings"
Thats also why there's so many custom roms out there, to fit your needs (sometimes) If you cant find one, go with stock or learn to make your own.
