Just wanted to let everyone know I just received the ASUS USB adapter from a company I found on eBay (you can also buy directly from their web site). They currently still have them in stock. The cost is $24.99 w/free shipping. The price is a little more than some other companies list, but at least this company have them in stock.
Since I can't post links yet, go to the web site mentioned in the thread title and search for 668834.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Does it feel like a good connection or is it a poor fit as others have noted?
The connection seems to be good, however I know what people are talking about. Because the back of the Prime is curved, there is no bottom surface to contact the adapter. This allows the adapter to be deflected if you push on it, however it isn't going to fall out as there is too much friction/tension once the connector is pushed on. I actively pushed on the adapter from front to back and back to front and there was no loss of electrical connectivity (I was actively using an XBox 360 gamepad to scroll from icon to icon).
I do agree with others that say they wish ASUS would have redesigned the adapter for the Prime, but it does work and that is what I needed.
Just fyi, I have ordered two different USB female/female adapters to finally put to bed whether these types of adapters will allow different USB devices to work with the stock cable. They didn't cost much, so I was glad to order them just so I could see for myself.
These two adapters should arrive first of next week and I will update or create another thread with my findings.
If you have any specific tests related to the connection you would like me to perform, please let me know.
Thanks for the response. I'm wondering if the little plastic cover that ships with the Prime to protect the power port can be modified (with dremel) to act as a holder for the USB connector. Somehow attach it to the connector to give it a more secure fit?
Thanks I needed one of these really bad

I have wondered the same thing. I plan to try out a few different mods I have in mind to see if I can come up with a simple design to firm up the seating of the adapter. If I am successful, I'll post some pics and set of steps.
If only it wasn't as long, maybe wider instead, and had the USB plug into the side instead of the bottom it would be usable.

Does anyone have a site to buy replacement lapdock parts?
I need to grab a connector from the dock to the logic board - a couple hdmi pins are noticeably smashed in. Source of the "No input source: HDMI" error for me.
If none exist, do the multimedia or standard dock share the same connector?
I couldn't find any other dock dis-assembly's to compare internals.
sticker on the connector says:
"PAD00
DC30100E100REV:1.0
HONG-LIN 11/01/05"
I am currently unaware of any, I would try "googling" for some.
yea, I tried searching before I posted on the forum, but came up with nothing. Oh well, it was worth a shot - thanks anyways. I just ordered another micro hdmi cable to solder in my own replacement, 19 tiny pins isn't going to be fun though.
good luck with that. just wanted to add that you can buy a refurb from AT&t wireless for 75bucks. That's a whole dock worth of replacements parts.
not a bad deal, think I might jump on that and throw this up for parts then.
Thanks for the info.
need a same part
Well if someone somewhere finds this part please don't hesitate to post where did you get one. I will loose my mind trying solder cable directly to board or something similar...
I know this is a double post am not sure which is the right section to post.
I don't know if am posting in the right section but I lost the charger pin that connects to the adapter. Is there a place I can buy just the pin-out for the USA wall connector? The tablet is pretty much useless cause I can't charge it with the other 5 volt USB connectors I have.
Hi,
I live in the UK, and use the non branded charger which is cheap, and definitely more solid and reliable than the official one.
I just had a quick look on EBay, and there's lots of choice:
http://shop.mobileweb.ebay.com/sear...2?kw=asus+transformer+charger&x=0&y=0&cmd=SKW
(Of course its still worth checking the buyers reviews first.)
I've had it for six months.
Compared to 4x Asus original replacements.
Cheers.
I also got an extra charger, I think off ebay. You can get one with a longer cable so you don't have to sit on the floor next to the outlet
I have the same issue as OP; one of the pins got stuck and broke off of the US charger adapter. I've asked ASUS eStore if they would sell me just that replacement part. I'll post here if I get a positive response.
EDIT: Asus eStore said that they will not sell that part individually, but will gladly sell me the whole charger but they are out of stock.
I got a multitude of pins for the charger, with my Spanish Transformer. I just use the round one (Spanish/European standard). I was keeping the others just in case I traveled somewhere I needed them, but I could be convinced to part with the US one (that is, if it comes with a US one!). The bad thing, I have no idea on which one it is! Mind you, postage will be expensive...
I say that anyone who wants it, send me a PM, and make me an offer (trades are perfectly fine, in fact, better than simply paying cash, and on a trade, you'll pay the postage to me, and I'll pay the postage to you. Also, I don't know the exact rules for trades on this board, should I I post this somewhere else?)
I saw these were new from the manufacturer as of 6/20. I have not found a place to buy them yet on the web. I hope that they are available soon. I thought you all may like these.

False alarm. The one listed on the hypercel site is for the Thunderbolt. Looking forward to this cradle for the Evo LTE.

Hyopercel results
Hypercel said that if I wanted to buy the new docks, that I would have to buy 30-60 of them. What ever their shipping pacakge size was for the device. I guess, that could be as much as $3500. Sucffice to say, I dont want 2 docks that bad. I guess I will have to wait for some reseller to make them available. It seems like Hypercel is not going to get the EVO LTE version. They are pretty nice looking though, and with MHL built in too.
As you pointed out, Hypercel only has the thunderbolt. However, on Kidigi's website you will see that they make the EVO 4G LTE docks as of 6/20. It's not a false alarm, just a sit and wait until someone decides to sell them to us. I hope that is soon.
Thanks for the landscape link.

Ill buy 2 standard ones and depending on the price - an MHL one.
Is the blue around the phone a case? If it is any ideas which case it is? Thanks
Case question
Honestly if you look at the pictures, they must be rendered. The one with a case has no mic hole on the bottom of the phone and the one without a case has one.
Here are a couple blue cases I googled.

choices
Need to decide from this one or this other one I found here
http://www.seidioonline.com/htc-one-series-desktop-charging-cradle-p/bd2-crdhtx1.htm
Would love to see some reviews and pics of these docks. I am looking to get one eventually but would like to hear what you guys think of them.
I bought the Seidio dock and use it at work. Its functional but not like their EVO3D or OG EVO docks that were more form fitting. The good is that the usb connection actually tilts forward/backward in that dock so that the phone leans back against the cradle. The bad is, if you look closely, the right side of the cradle where the phone rests is angled slightly upward to compensate for the USB connection - but it makes the phone not sit truly level, just slightly off. It also doesn't do HDMI out.
Is it better than the kickstand? Sure you don't have to reach for cables every time. But not by much.
Still waiting for the hdmi Kidigi dock. I will post picks as soon as I get it.

I did not get a tracking number. I ordered on July 10th. They said 7-14 days shipping. I am only on the 8th day and they never promised a tracking number so... I guess its a wait and see for a little longer.

i hear jellybean will allow audio through the usb..I am waiting for a car dock even a desk dock that will have a audio jack so I can eliminate the extra step of plugging in my headphones.
So. Who's getting one? Can't tell from the description if it's just a usb cable with a Pogo end or if it includes a different charger. Not sure how it would charge faster simply by switching to a different connector.
Just do it a search for the nexus 10 Pogo on ebay. Cost is $20 with $6 shipping direct from our Korean friends. Available starting December 28th.
http://shop.mobileweb.ebay.com/sear...sort=BestMatch&mfs=GOCLK&acimp=0&isNewKw=true
Update... Reread description and charger is not included. This is only for the cable but they claim 25% faster charging with this cable. Still one expensive cable on par with what the fruit company would charge for their oem cables.
Just to tell you... this has already been posted in the N10 Accessories subforum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2045369
It sucks that we have to get it from an aftermarket company, instead of Samsung or Google! They added the pogo to the tablet but didn't make a cable, that's dumb of them because people would buy right away if they would've made it available as an extra accessory.

Apple probably would have sued and that would get the entire N10 in hot waters. Probably a good move IMHO although it sucks for us N10 owners.
Speaking of which, the pogo cable's gone from ebay. Wonder if they sold out or if something else is up. Maybe they got the letter from Mr. Fruit.
Bad news eBay pulled the listing for the charger.

The abstract for Apple's magnetic connector patent reads:
An electrical plug and receptacle relying on magnetic force to maintain contact are disclosed. The plug and receptacle can be used as part of a power adapter for connecting an electronic device, such as a laptop computer, to a power supply. The plug includes electrical contacts, which are preferably biased toward corresponding contacts on the receptacle. The plug and receptacle each have a magnetic element. The magnetic element on one or both of the plug and receptacle can be a magnet, which is preferably a permanent rare earth magnet although electromagnets may also be used. The magnetic element on the plug or receptacle that does not include a magnet is composed of ferromagnetic material. When the plug and receptacle are brought into proximity, the magnetic attraction between the magnet and its complement, whether another magnet or a ferromagnetic material, maintains the contacts in an electrically conductive relationship.

Interesting. I know it's not a patent that they license out. The fact that they haven't sued for it, though, probably means that this patent is a bit more specific to power while POGO cables allow for some manner of data transfer, too (in regards to docks). There are instrument cables that have magnetic connectors, too.
I'm assuming, of course. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The plantronics legend has a magnetic connector as well and they still selling them so I guess anyone can make them
Looks like it. I didn't read the entire patent but I would assume it's not that broad.

Why is that bad news? It was probably a fake.
TomTom has used a magnetic connector very much like the POGO plug on the 2535m and 1000 series GPS units over the past couple of years. Almost identical in concept...just a different number of pins. Supplies power and supports other functions as well. This is on millions of units currently in use worldwide.

I see a lot of the cases ending up on ebay with smashed glass on the front for cheap. I was wondering if any devs out their would be able to point me in the right direction to attempt to use this case on a razpie or a PC. I assumed it was just display port over type C but I put my adapter to change it from M to F and plug it into the case and no joy. I also attempted to use a thunberbolt 4 cable to plug into the internal type c port and plug it into the phone this way. And still it wont turn the screen on. I have no idea what kind of magic they did and why (maybe a non standard port) But I can't get this thing to talk unless directly attached to the phone.
Thanks in advance. Just seems a massive shame for them to end up as E-waste. They are a great looking display.
Maybe some controler chip inside the phone not in the 2nd screen.
Let try to connect to other phone (the unit you know it can share display via typec port) for more information.
Btw i want to buy 1 like that, but ebay do not ship to my country.
Alright its worth a try. My neighbor has an S22. I just think it is strange because even when I used a thunderbolt 4 cable to connect from my phone to the case it still did not work. Only when plugged straight into the case.
Attached is the cables and adapter I used
EDIT: also aliexpress has the cases as well.
EDIT:2 Now I am wondering if the case uses MHL as MHL would also provide power and signal.
Its said that the usb c connector only carries power and that the display is wireless. I dont have any direct information as to the truth of that however.
I wonder

I wonder if that's true. Also the phone must have some kind of magnetic read switch. because I can turn it on away from the case if I put a magnet on the back of it. I sacrificed my beloved case for the cause T_T.
I also discovered if I use a typc c to type a cable usb2, the PC will say the device is a lv600 or whatever the sku for the phone itself is.
So I think without some kind of drivers this wont work. I think I will purchase a driverboard from ali and see if it won't work. So I will have to bypass the CB behind the display and hook it up to the oled directly because this thing has much more then just a screen inside of it it also has the buttons and secondary display. I was hoping windows would ignore all of that and just use display port alt mode over USB.

Has anyone actually gotten one from AliExpress? $30 for a working case with the magnetic adapter included seems to good to be true. AliExpress has good buyer protection, so I was tempted to try it anyway, but I didn't want to wait a month for it to ship just to find out it's a scam.

- Many times bought at Ali. I need to pay instally and waiting they shipping (a month or longer, very long shipping while i live near by China). Some shop is clone, they never send the good. But i can cancel it before shop send the good to transpoter. Can not return if something wrong.
- Bonus: i bought cracked front glass V60 dual case on Ebay from USA Shop for $39. I recieved it after 2 week (through the middle man) really fast. The Shop on Ebay sent me dual screen case with only 2 little crack (still good condition).
- My experience: On Ali only buy from shop is appreciate, don't buy working device, only buy parts as you know China is good place to find parts for repair device.
