Accept bar? and you can change the position of the power widgets, nothing else!
I'm sorry, i made a mistake. I want to modify the position of icons in xml files to move them a little because i don't like the position of the blue bar of each icon. When I translate to spanish, it crosses the text.

But i don't know what xml file is the correct.

Hello,
First of all thanks for the info, i have used this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352993, until i discovered this topic and try this one.
My phone is a Neo V and it works very well.
In your first post, where you explain the steps to follow in the process, i think you must exchange steps 5 and 6 and also modify just a bit steps 4 and 5(wich must be 6).
I mean:
-Step 4: Copy SystemUI.apk from SDCard, go to /system and mount it R/W (not /system/app because in /system there is no SystemUI.apk to replace), paste the file here.
-Step 5:Change permissions to rw-r--r-- just as you explained in your 6th step.
-Step 6:Copy the file from /system, paste it in /system/app and confirm the replacement and reboot.
Following this order you don't get into troubles like me.
Because if you replace the file before changing permissions you will get stuck in a endless looping dialog telling anything about an error, clicking ok and again getting the same dialog in less than a second. I finally get out pressing power button to show 'shutdown dialog' wich also was totally covered under the annoying looping dialog, i just started taping as fast as i could, until fortunatelly one of my 'taps' hit de shutdown option between the dissappearing and the appearing of the 'loopy error dialog'. After powering on again it just get missing the notifications bar, i went with RootExplorer to /system/app, finally change permissions and reboot again and... just fixed it.
Hope i helped.(and well... i'm not a native english speaker)
Salut.

I love the stock look but the lock screen seems wrong.
The sliders in the lock screen seem wrong in size (smaller than normal android) and they are cutoff. Are there any plans to fix/update/improve the theme?
The rest is just perfect, I love the theme.
Thanks a lot!!

Is my phone bricked?
I moved the framework to system/framework/ and while it was pasting it the phone restarted and now i'm stuck with the SE logo. I only had the battery charged 20%, do i have to reflash my U20i?
if it hangs on the se logo for a while you have to do a reflash with seus (sony ericsson update service).
ps: did you change the permission of your apk before you copied it to system/framework?
Yes , I did ,i had the black theme before and i set the permissions to 755. It happened to me every time i tried to install a framework through Root Explorer, i reflashed my phone 5 times since 30th Of November. It is a painful process to do that through the flasher tool provided by Binr4y and install a root,app2sd,configure the apps, enable JIT, change VM heapsize etc. . And my phone doesn't ring anymore or work in portrait , i dropped it on the ground.
Thanks. Amazing!
i think, the handling of rootexplorer is very easy if you do that in a right way.
copy the apk to /system, then change the permission to 644 then move the apk to /system/folder_you_want. very easy
I am unable to install the Music Player. Can you tell me how to Uninstall the Music Player that is already installed?
When i try to install the Music.apk that you have provided, it says that the application already exists.
Please help me out.
?? the rootexplorer ask you if you want to override the existing file. click OK.
but before you can copy anything in /system/... you have to mount it with the small button at the top of rootexplorer. click mount r/w and than you can copy your file in /system/... and override the old one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853938 there you find a manual for using rootexplorer

Is it possible to change the top status bar from grey to black when using a program? Example, in screen shot attached, the top status bar is grey in colour instead of black when using tapatalk. Facebook had the sane experience too. Thanks.

These are the "hard" G3 apps ported for LG L9 II v20b - kitkat
ROOT required - for some perhaps not!
[probably work with other phones if they have kitkat]
[Ok, I will say it. Make a backup first]
You will need a root file manager - I am not making CWM zips unless is necessary.

This is the LG Easy Settings (the settings in a tab view), BUT also the LG G3 settings.
All settings working, but some effects are not applied to our phone.
How to
<> Put the LGEasySettingsG3.apk to /system/app folder (or install it like any other app).
[This will give you the tab view for the settings]
More
<> Delete the LGSettings3_2.apk, LGSettings3_2.odex, LGSettingsProvider.apk and LGSettingsProvider.odex from /system/priv-app folder.
<> Put at /system/priv-app the LGSettingsG3.apk and LGSettingsProviderG3.apk
<> Reboot
LIMITATION
At wifi tab can not see the "search" button - I am "searching" it , but we can live without it.
[Funny thing , at landscape mode is there]
LG Lockscreen G3
[DO NOT use this with any other phone/version]
Lock screen settings from G3 goes with appropriate LGKeyguard.apk.
If you want it for other phone version, pm me.
<> Delete LockScreenSettings.apk and LockScreenSettings.odex from /system/priv-app folder.
<> Put at /system/priv-app the LGLockScreenSettingsG3_signed.apk
ALSO
<> Delete the LGKeyguard.apk and LGKeyguard.odex from /system/priv-app folder.
<> Put at /system/priv-app the LGKeyguard.apk
<> Reboot
If you have problem with "Knock Code" at lockscreen (can not change it with password/pin, because is incorrect), set 5 times a wrong knock code and select "Forget Knock code?".
All settings working, but some effects are not applied to our phone.
If you have problems with shortcuts goto /data/data/com.lge.lockscreensettings/databases folder and delete the 2 files.
LG Browser G3
<> I don't remember if there is a LGBrowser*.apk/odex at system/app or /system/priv-app folder. If there, delete them.
<> Put at /system/priv-app the LGBrowserG3_signed.apk
<> Reboot
LIMITATION
Selecting Favorites, you will "see" the three known tabs, but with white background and white letters!!!
LGFileManager G3
You know what to do LGFileManagerG3_signed.apk
LGCalculator G3
You know what to do LGCalculatorG3_signed.apk
BONUS - Weather theme Flex for all themes
This is the LG weather THEME widget (Flex - working only with theme Flex), but now is working with every theme!
<> Delete any *WheatherTheme*.apk/odex you have at system/app or /system/priv-app folder.
<> Put at /system/app folder the LGWeatherThemeFlex_signedAllFlex.apk
<> Reboot
*Small bug with 4x1/5x1 widget
*** If something go wrong ***
Open a command prompt where adb is located.
Type:
adb shell
su
mount -o rw,remount -t ext4 /system
cd /system/app OR cd /system/priv-app
rm <the_file_name_you_add>.apk
reboot
After reboot put back your original apk/odex and reboot again.
It's good to tell me the problem and even better a logcat.
That's all.

I don't remember exactly. I think, I change manifest, some xml and smali editing.
If you want I can upload the original LGBrowserG3.apk.
Decompile original and mine. After you can compare to see the differences.

I've tried them, and they all work on V20H. I reverted back to stock apps though, because these tend to 'eat' more RAM for me.. ..my free RAM was not enough after installing these..
INTRODUCTION
This guide is for Ivan's 5.0 Lollipop AOSP ROM but will work with other ROMs as well.
FEATURES
Pure AOSP feel.
Many people prefer it, including me.
Workaround for 'hardware key wakeup' bug.
Can use Lollipop features like Screen Pinning easily.
Looks cool
PREREQUISITES
Ivan's Lollipop AOSP ROM.(May work on others too)
MI3.(Again may work on others too)
Root.
ES File Explorer.(or any file manager with root access)
INSTRUCTIONS
Enabling on-screen nav bar.
Open ES File Explorer and grant su access.
Go to system and open build.prop with ES Note Editor and add this line in the end:
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Save build.prop and reboot.
Check if soft keys are enabled.
If enabled successfully, proceed to next section.
Disabling hardware capacitive keys.
Go to system/usr/keylayout and open 'atmel-maxtouch.kl' with ES Note Editor.
In the end of that file there will be following three lines:
Code:
key 139 MENU VIRTUAL
key 102 HOME VIRTUAL
key 158 BACK VIRTUAL
Add a '#' before each line so it would look like this:
Code:
#key 139 MENU VIRTUAL
#key 102 HOME VIRTUAL
#key 158 BACK VIRTUAL
Save the file and exit.
Disabling capacitive key lights.
Download Capacitive Buttons app from Play Store.
Open it and grant su access.
Select the first option i.e no brightness.
Reboot
DONE

Thank you for this guide. Successfully disabled capacitive buttons and added navigation bar.
Welcome mates, @moly82 you have set 420 dpi?
400
How to reduce height of nav bar? I don't want to change dpi but the nav bar is too high.
Edit: Fxied.!
Thx for this mate.
I am unable to boot the system after enabling on-screen nav bar by editing build.prop...... Shows starting MI logo and then a blues flash and again restart. It goes into this loop.
As soon as I remove that "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" from it, system is botting

For that you need to edit the jar files in framework, you can find a guide for that on xda. I could have done that myself but my exams are gonna start in a few days, and moreover I'm sick. ?

Hi,
I used ES File Explorer first to edit on phone and then rebooted. Phone didn't start so then I went into CWM recocry, pulled file by adb on my desktop, removed the line which I had inserted and then pushed file back to system. Gave 644 permission and rebooted. Device worked this time.
Lemme know if there is any other way. One thing I cld try is edit the file on desk and push through ADB. Earlier I had inserted required line with ES Explorer and editor.
Thanks in advanced.

Mandar

Yea do try that and report, I think the ES method is messing with the build.prop permissions somehow!
i used ES with no problems at all!
Same here, I too used ES without any issue, but I have faced certain problems with ES regarding saving system level files i edited and problems with proper permissions in the past.

Yup... It worked by this method. Flawless.
Enjoying lollipop to the fullest now. You guys are fantastic. Thx.
I've been using ES for this for over a year now...no problems...
Maybe a typo was at fault?

I guess the issue was with saving the file. May I know how you saved the edited build.prop file in ES Note Editor?
I would like to know this so that I would update that info in the thread, so that in future users can be more careful.
It worked great for me! Thank you!
Will there be a way to make the navbar transparant instead of black?
Thanks in advanced!

There might be by editing some png in framework-res.apk but I am not sure about which png file needs to be edited.
Although I can assure you that transparent nav-bar will only annoy you!
