You can try APN fixes, or use GoSMS and fix it there...I think you might want to look through the thread and search for MMS.
i tried that but their are so many pages pertaining to that I don't know which one is accurate
never mind i found the fix, thanks for chiming in

Remember use voice dialer, not voice search!

Just updated my 9100 to ICS through Kies. Phone is ALL stock. Now all of a sudden all texts are being sent as doubles. Any ideas? I'm using Go SMS Pro for messaging.
It's been reported in all of the ICS threads so far. Search for more info

Same for me using handcent, it seems this happens with 3rd party sms apps, not sure why though.
Not sure if this is ICS related or if our apps have incompatibilities with ICS or this particular ICS rom.

Phone is ALL stock huh? Go SMS Pro is a stock Samsung app? Are you getting double texts in the stock SMS app?
have you updated your gosms?, they have this issue with ics, use stock message app for now
have same problem too, it looks like its something worng with all sms apps , other than stock. IF you try any any app that gives you quick reply, it sends 2 sms, some sends more and gets stuck =\ this sucks
Yeah I am having the same problems with my Sgs2. Using Go SMS pro...
Guess i have to stick to whatsapp instead
+1 Same here! GoSMS Pro on my stock SG S2 sends double!
Same for me...
with all third part apps...
freeze Stock Messaging app..or Uninstall it
Im On ICS>..i just Froze the stock messaging app and i guess that was it..hope this helps..
bug
named xxlpq rom and any other custom roms based on lpq have this bug when using 3rd party app for messaging one send by app another send by system. so this bug remains till an update by samsung or devs find a solution.
I have the same problem, but i cant freeze or disable stock messaging app, or even start it for that matter, cuz it aint there.. there is something called messaging and i have that frozen to be sure that only gosms was active, and now i cant defrost it... *sigh*
Am I the only one who had this duplicate sms problem with the stock app as well?

So far, so good, with the updated handcent. I hope gosms steps up soon.
Found an update to GoSMS from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559141
I can confirm that it fixed my problem for me =D. (Running LPE)
I'm using cleanrom 4.0 and noticed that messages in the gtalk app sometimes groups together. Like I send a message and it gets added to the group of messages that I last sent instead of the bottom of the list after the message that I was replying to.
Anybody else notice this? Is this normal in the ics gtalk app?

That's annoying. How did you get around it? Do you use another app it learned to deal with it?
My ginger bread ROM didn't do this

i learned to deal with it. IDK i havent found a fix so i just read my msg's carefully now.
edit:
i think it has to do with the ICS gtalk app. the GB one doesnt do this
Does anybody know if the latest leaks still do this? I've been thinking about flashing the latest but been hesitating reinstalling and setting everything back up
Sent from my ADR6425LVW
It's nothing to do with the latest leak...It's the actual Google talk app. If you roll back to an old version it should fix it. I just learned to deal with the problem.
Anyone else having this issue? I have "show contact pictures" selected in Handcent's settings and the pictures are still not showing.
Sorry for posting in here. I don't have enough posts to post in the developer's forum.
Thanks in advance.

From what I can tell from a quick search, it appears that it's a problem with Facebook integration with Handcent. While Handcent is installed, go ahead and log out of Facebook for Sense. Then log back into Facebook for Sense.
~co~
Sense has the contact pictures locked to an extent. You'll need to wait for your developer to update the app

Go SMS Pro has the same problem, just going to have to wait until they get updated.

I guess I should have said this in my first post. Pictures were working fine in Handcent before I flashed to the ICS CleanROM. I was using a Gingerbread ROM from CleanROM before.

I believe the problem is ICS not sense, I think I read somewhere that ICS handles facebook integration differently and that apps will have to be updated to work correctly with it.
I get issues with contact picture too most of the time it is caused by facebook syncing contacts
On meanrom ICS and having the same issue. Glad it's not just me. I just reported the bug to Handcent and all of you should as well.
That's what happens when viewing it in google play.

It works on my Sensation running ICS...

Hi I posted this over in att sgs3 q&a, thought I'd post it here as well, does anyone know how to include sms in the call log on jellybean, I've tried cm10 and aopk and a buncha custom roms none of them have this option, I know ppl like not having sms in the call log but I find it very convenient.. I've also tried a buncha different dialers but I think if the rom doesn't allow it then no dialer would make a difference... this would make jellybean perfection in my eyes so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Phone: HTC EVO3D s-off running ICS/Sense to maintain appearance of being stock. At some point in the past few weeks, my voicemail app decided to vanish, possibly during a hard reset or during a drunken rampage in which I decided that all sprint bloat needed to die. Either way, I can't seem to locate a direct replacement in the play store. All I want is something to inform me of when I have new voicemails, even if it is just the standard voicemail.apk that comes with the phone. Can anyone help with this?
Have you tried Youmail? It's pretty good and it's has its own visual mail app or if you have Google voice use set it as your voice mail

I'm using youmail currently, but I'm not a fan of the stock greetings and haven't found a setting (if one exists) to personalize. I get a lot of client calls and would prefer that they hear my voice instead of a computer. Thanks for the recommendation!
I think there is a flashable zip of the Sprint voicemail app somewhere. I'm on my phone so I can't search easily. You could download a ROM with the app and get it from there.
If you have Sprint, you can get into your voicemail by dialing your own number from your cell phone. Other companies might work the same way.

One of these should work
Try one of these, should probably work fine. Not really anything you can mess up anyway.

Thanks a million NickMach007. I'm not a member at Cyanogen(mod) so I fixed the link to the xda thread and grabbed that one. It works perfect.
