[Q] Which Gingerbread rom is best for X10I and which most upto date baesbands?

Hello Guys
First off thank you to everyone for all your hardwork
I am having a problem finding the best Gingerbread rom and the correct basebands that work. I have tried a few and more often than not i have problems with random reboots and error messages. I would like to know which people find out there work the most stable and which combo of rom and basebands please
I have also wondered with Android been an OS for all models of phones can you install a rom on an X10i (my model handset) that has been made and is basically stable as F8*k for example a HD Desire or model that would work on X10i. I think i may know the answer and that been that it isn't possible but i want to ask anyway just to clarify
Lastly a very big thankyou to everyone for all there hard work and time put into the development of the roms so that we can all update our phones when SE couldn't even release updated roms for us. Personally i think it was a case of they didn't release 2.3 for X10i as they had the Arc coming out and 2.3 was probs it's biggest selling point.

Cyanogen CM7.0 RC4 v013 Gingerbread 2.3.3 is the only one I think... arc rom is not really maintained and was more of just a test. you need BB .52 . for me v013 rebooted a lot, but I am going to try v014 later
Hello
Gopdemon thanks for your reply
I have tried both of what you suggested with no luck :-(
I think maybe it's a problem with the baseband rather than the rom?
The GB ROM is unstable right now, even with the custom kernel. I would stick to 2.2 since its like 99-100% done. But you can try this:

Mister J thanks for the link. Thats the rom i am currently on
Thank You
Thanks to everyone that replied. I am now trying to work out which MIUI roms are best with best baseband but always running into issues :-( typed by Kate on behalf of Marti

[Q] Basebands

Is there a difference in what Baseband you have to use with StreakDroid 1.9.0? Does using a certain Baseband matter as if it would change the speed in downloading or wifi use? I'm just curious as if running the latest Basebands would make a difference in any way..
Not that i can think of. The recommended baseband for 1.9 is 318 though.
Why is it recommended though? No one ever says lol.
Good Question.. I never asked it coz da rom was free..hehe
Jokes apart - I think its got to do with using the most stable radio version to ensure all func work correctly.
To be honest i don't even know what the 3-number combinations mean, when i look at the baseband on my phone it's a long number, the information on this forum needs a glossary or something -.-
Thanks for the responses.. It's not really clear to me which baseband is the most stable or proper one.. Others state to use 345 baseband while the original post states to use 318.. Just wanted a little more clarification on this.. I've used both and haven't really noticed much of a difference or maybe its just me..

Samsung galaxy SII ROM / Kernel problem

Hello guys! (I am a noob by the way...)
Not a major issue but somewhat annoying; 2 days ago i changed Kernel from the stock orange version to gingerbread supercurious 2.3.3 using ODIN and the colors looked rather odd and pale and the performance was reduced ( on quadrant standard from 3200 to 2900) . I changed to Darky's Rom and therefore upgraded to android 2.3.4/5 but the colors and the camera still aren't right although i now score 3800 on quadrant standard benchmark!
Current version:
Model : GT - I9100
Android version : 2.3.4
Base band version: I9100XXKG1
Kernel Version: [email protected]#supercore_1.0_e
Version number: DarkyROM2 XXKG1 BASE
Please help!
I want my really nice Superamoled display back!
Dude u should have post this in the q&a section
But anyway try flashing a different kernel like siyah or ninphitamine or other popular kernels.
This should solve the problem

Sorry, i thought it was an appropriate section to post the question and for some reason, the website would not let me post it in the Q&A section.
Will the others roms enable me to keep my incredible performance ? ( because although the colours are not as good as before, it is so stable and fluid even with a lot of widget and background apps running!)
Thank you for answering.
Thread moved to appropriate section.

[q] p500h rom

Hello XDA developers.
Im a bit confused, hope you could help me..
I have an LG Optimus P500 H , and i want to install a cyanogenmod ROM with gingerbread.
Of all the information i had gathered, my phone is in the OLD baseband, with a kernel version: 2.6.32.9
I have readed that i have to install a new baseband for the cyanogenmod "P500-v10E-baseband.7z " from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149530 , is that correct?
Wich version of cyanogen do you recommend me to install? I live in argentina and i dont want to lose my 3G/HDSPA/EDGE connection.
The other thing is, that all the links are dead because of the megaupload closure. =(
Thanks.
You seem confused. New baseband is v20. As long as you are not on T-Mobile, data and 3g should work fine. If you are, you can try and if it doesn't work, revert to v10. One of the network frequencies doesn't seem working with v20 (I Think its 1800hrz - correct me if I'm wrong) and as long as your network isn't dependent of that frequency, its fine.
Try out adfad666's N2 or a cyanogenmod nightly if you want. Lupohirp's ICS is almost complete and its for the new baseband, and as far as I know, the newest oxygen tom is too

Or if you don't want to flash new baseband you can try the old baseband fixes for cm7 or cm9.

Thanks-a-lot!
I think i will go for "CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0-OptimusOne-KANG [.32][.35][BothBasebands]" when adfad666 releases the removed link, until i feel more confident messing with the basebands and kernels, hehe..
Last year i had a HTC, wich i flashed so many times i lost count, now i see this as a whole new world!
PD: Dont like much the homescreen of "nightly" version. I miss SPB shell so much...

New to the note

I have Straight Talk,
4.0.4
kernel 3.0.8
build
IMM76D.UCLF6
I also have SU and CM 5.5
Wondering what Rom will give me the best performance (battery a life +) , do I need to have a different kernel to upgrade to JB? What about a different BL , it was a royal time waster upgrading my Acer A500 from GB to ICS , Does it even matter being on Straight Talk , I mean just the ATT roms work fine , but I like to experiment , I dont want to go hog wild because this is the only fone I got right now and I need it , but a custom rom is always better!
Can you guys tell me about the kernels to roms and if I stay with a stock kernel can use what roms (I mean with 4.0.4 this ICS ,how do I go about JB?) i KNOW i FEEL LIKE A NOOB HERE, but its different ,plus Ive been doing winfone 7 for 2 years , just got to get back into it!
