Hey , Xda's . I want to remove the A2Sd Script so tat I can use LINK2SD . How can I do that ? Sorry for a noob question.
first of all you need root but seeing as you already have scripts I guess skip that. Now download root explorer. go to system->etc->init.d now click mount as r/o or w/w or something like that. Then delte the script.
PS
You can also use ES file manager but idk how to use it
been having overclocking issues. on meanrom 1.7 oc wouldnt work even with mikeys init.compostboot.sh. on meanrom 2.0 oc worked great. today i upgradedto meanrom 2.6 now the oc will not work again. can anyone explain whats goin on? is busybox supposed to be on the rom when i install it? the rom is on the internal sd card.
i just put meanrom 2.0 back on my phone and it ovrclocking fine. am i getting bad down loads on some of mikeys roms or what could be causing some versions to overclock and some to not?
Did you do a full wipe before the flash? Mounting in r/w mode and opening the file in text editor mode?
misspelled os;29751490]Did you do a full wipe before the flash? Mounting in r/w mode and opening the file in text editor mode?[/QUOTE]
I mount in ro mode. It says file is read only if I try to open text editor in rw mode. I wipe dalvik cache cache factory data reset and system. What do you mean mount in rw mode? Please explain. Ty

You need to use something like Root Explorer (a few bucks in the play store and totally worth it) and click the mount in r/w mode. Then long press on the file (/etc/init.qcom.post_boot.sh) and click "Open in Text Editor". Make the changes to the file (follow the guidelines at the top of the file and change the overclock number from ZERO to whatever you want it to be) and hit the back button. It will ask you if you want to save the file -- click yes. Reboot the device.
You are now overclocked.
i change the title becouse i want to see if somebody have my problem

I think you're asking about init.d support. If the kernel (you can also directly patch the ROM) doesn't have init.d support, scripts in etc/init.d won't be run automatically. Simple as that.

Download "Pimp my rom" from play store and check if your phone has init.d support. If not eneble it using commands in program.

easy bro. status 7 error is just a small thing.
to install manally: extract the file(s) from the zip & simply push it to the same folders as they was in the zip.file
example a init.d script is in system/etc/init.d IN THE ROM, AND THE zip-flash-file... so push it there & set permissions & done

thanks
i was confused because of META_INF folder, then i read a bit more about it and i learned that META-INF is used only for zip data and i shouldn't copy it anywhere.
i will try it and report when i will have access to a notebook, so that i can repartiton sd card.

Thanks in advance.
Hello everyone!
since some time ago I was customizing the ROM of Android 5.0. Everything was in order while I didn't try to change the system files. Obviously after flashing device refuse the normal boot and stacked on boot screen.. The reason was selinux context which I've never applied.
The process is:
1. Mount the ROM as EXT4
2. Add/Change files
3. Change the permissions
4. Unmount and flash...The question is:
How to label and chcon the newly added files with Android's default context in a mounted EXT4 image?
PS: Not sure is the right forum. Please suggest a solution.
Thanks!

What do u mean u mounted the ROM ext4? The file system should have been defined upon install. If u changed the file system of your system partition I would assume you wiped you accidently wiped the installed os . Selinux status could affect boot but only if you did something that requires permissive status (a custom kernel is a good ready example of the type of flAsh that would need selinux on permissive). Ok so let's assume u didn't mean ROM . You meAnt system partition and you naturraly mounted that (system) as R/W . What permissions did you set on file . 644 is the correct answer if you were trying to install as system file. Wht was it you flashed? It's probably an easy fix bud . Just need more info

@mojoswagger1980 Thanks for answering. My bad, of course meaning is to mount "system.img" and not the ROM. Will explain.
The image is mounted, adding busybox into system/xbin, chmod 644, (automatically set owner root:root). As expected ls -Z is showing "?" for system/xbin/busybox...
Not changing anything more, flashing this image. File is not accessible or doesn't exists.
No doubts that if I am doing "chcon ubject_r:system_file:s0 system/xbin/busybox" it says first relabel the file... Relabel says there is no such type, user, etc...
What can I do in this case?
PS: Setting permissive 1 with inject-sepolicy doesn't help. May be I am doing something wrong here. Please suggestions.
