i got this error when trying to downgrade when i was with 10.6 to 10....in the end i had to do a clean reinstall since not even backups would stop giving that same error....hopefully someone knows a better option than my experience tho.. i did upgrade to 11 and had not seen that error after i did luckily..
i had that with every app after a while in 10.6 i couldn't get it to stop
i flashed v11 and was good
i would say a factory reset or a dif rom would work

Hey guys,
I just installed the newest Insanity (Oct 31/11) rom and was missing the gapps. found out that it was included in the thread so i installed it through CWM. Once I did that, an annoying error message keeps on popping up.
"The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I only have the option to Force Close.
I've searched up this problem already. Quite a few people uninstalled G+ and it helped solved the problem. I tried that, it wouldn't even let me uninstall. Just tells me that uninstalling fails. Any other way of fixing this force close? I'd love to use this rom as I heard great things about it.
Hope someone can help because I'm in desperate need of it!!
Thanks in advance!!
Ok, it's not just after I installed gapps anymore. I restored my apps and data from titanium backup, restarted my phone and it's experiencing that problem again. It's super frustrating. Hope someone, ANYONE, can help me.

Hi Guys!
Everytime I flash the latest version of CM9, I am encountering a problem. It flashes fine and everything works, but when I try to re-install all my apps using Titanium Backup Pro, it asks for a reboot and from that point onwards, I keep getting several messages saying "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped."
Can someone please tell me why this is happening? Thank you in advance.

Try to make a clean install of the rom, then restore apps only from Titanium of everything is still ok try restoring data.
I am currently running the nightly builds of the carbon ROM, and it has worked great until the last week or so. Lately when ever I try to update to the new nightly build after the update and the android is optimising sequence, when the phone arrives at the home screen I get the following message.
unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped working.
I can't get passed this error making the rom un usable I then have to roll back to a previous backup.
I really want to if I can fix this so I can start moving forward again.
So my question is is the something to do with the way my phone is setup, or is it something wrong it the current builds that the Carbon ROM team are currently pushing out?
Many thanks.

Wipe cache and Dalvik Cache
Sorry it took me so long to respond, I have only just now had a chance to try what you suggested but unfortunately it did not resolve the issue. So I want to reinstall the rom completely, but am not sure where to find the latest gapps for my device.
Many thanks.
I'm on JellyBeans right now, Build 22. I flashed it yesterday no problems, before that I was on build 20. I want to use the PAC-Man rom but whenever I try to flash it in Aroma it fails and the error is Status 7. I've tried the latest milestone build as well as the latest nightly, on both the internal and external SD and I still keep getting the same error.
Anyone know how I can remedy this?

What recovery are you using, TWRP? If so, sounds like you need to update versions.

Thank you I did that and it installed fine. Although now that I'm using the rom I keep getting AOSP Keyboard force closed errors whenever I have to type something, do you know what could be causing this?

Honestly no idea, as I use Beans and have not tried PACMan on this phone. Even though you can't post in that thread yet, it wouldn't hurt to search through it and see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
So heres my problem...a couple days ago I was deleting some system apps from my S4 to make the phone faster and I was running Eclipse 4.02 at the time...Okay well after I got done deleting the apps I rebooted my phone, everything worked fine for a couple of minutes but then I got a pop up that said "The Process com.android.phone has stopped" and I would hit okay but this diables the data and I have to restart my phone to get data working again...I've tried deleting the Rom from my SD card and redownloading it, I've tried factory reset, and I've also tried flashing a stock md5.tar file in ODIN but it fails at the very end...It will boot but the Wi-Fi doesn't work due to me having to flash gogolies Wi-Fi fix in order to have working Wi-Fi on Eclpise and I still get the "com.android.phone has stopped" issue...the only work around I've found so far is flashing the Google Play Edition Rom this fixes the "com.android.phone" issue but sometimes I won't receive SMS or I will gert them in halves and won't get the others until hours later. I made sure to read the instructions carefully and I am aware of the GPE Rom having issues anyway like MPT connection and Tethering not working but is it possible that somehow I corrupted /system or /system/priv-app or even /system/app? If so is it possible to fix this problem I called Samsung and they said they couldn't do anything about it...but still I would love to use Eclipse again but I can't due to the annoying com.android.phone has stopped issue...If anyone can help or upload the original /system, /system/priv-app, and /system/app that would be great I would just need to know how to install them back because I have no idea...Eclipse is a 4.4.2 Rom and GPE is a 4.4.4 Rom and I'm running baseband NC5 and using stock kernel and I am currently runnin g the GPE Rom to avoid the com.android.phone problem but I don't always receive SMS...any help would be greatly wonderful! Thannks!

I'm really new to XDA but just an update...I fixed it by flashing the NC5.tar again and it actually passed finally I then updated to NK1 so if anyone actually has this problem just repeatedly flash the NC5.tar until it passes I also had to flash the .pit file to return it to factory stock and before I did all this I went into stock recovery (Not Safestrap) and cleared data and cache and then flashed everything through ODIN and it passed and haven't had the problem since
