[Q] default browser lost. HELP - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hi
Just received my asus prime and I was wanting to change the default browser. So I disabled the stock browser in apps settings. However this has completely got rid of it from the apps menu and also off my homescreen shortcuts.
How do I re-enable it.
Please help me

Go back to where you disabled it and click enable.

Thanks for the reply
I tried this but it has disappeared from the all apps menu in the settings.
Do you have any other suggestions I can try
Thanks again

How to edit or remove default home screen apps.?

On the home screen how do I remove the default sms messeging app, as I prefer using handcent, but the problem is I keep getting notifications from the default messeging apo, as well which is one of the apps, on the home screen, on the bottom, along with the phone, contacs, and applications app.
Click on apps drawer, click menu and go from there.

Hi, did you manage to find out how to do this?

The the PLAY store you can find Anycut or Bettercut. Those allow you to create a shortcut to most anything. Although honestly I have not installed or tried in on the S3 yet.

[Q] Missing apps in 'Share via' menu

I just installed the stock deodexed Jelly Bean ROM and I've run into a weird problem. I have GMail, Facebook, Evernote, etc installed, but they don't show up as options in the 'Share via' menu in Chrome and other apps. All I get in the 'Share via' menu are four options: Astrid Tasks, Bluetooth, chomp SMS, and Dropbox. I've tried reinstalling Chrome and the various other apps that I would like to have in the menu, but no luck. All apps show up just fine in the Gallery app's 'Share' menu, but I think that menu is specific to Gallery since it's an HTC app, not a native Android app. Anyone know how to edit the "Share via" menu or how I can get these missing options to show up?
its now a scrollable menu, should be able to scroll up and down.

Wow. I can't believe how dumb I am. I was going through the XML files, looking for where the share menu config settings might be. It simply didn't occur to me that the menu might be scrollable since it occupied such a small portion of the screen. D'oh. Thanks a million.
In any case, I did find an app with a good workaround for my non-existent problem:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andmadesoft.share&hl=en
The purpose of this app is that it lets you replace the standard share menu with a customizable share menu in which you can select multiple sharing options at once.

Browser settings on stock browser

I have no settings option in the stock browser, I can't use text to reflow on Web pages, I can't clear cache, change default homepage etc.
Running Android 4.1.2 stock XXELLA rom.
Below I've attached a screenshot of the options available.
Can anyone help? Thanks
why not download a browser that has those features like boat:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boatbrowser.free
Have you tried scrolling the menu down?
Underneath Brightness there should be Downloads, Print & then Settings.
Cheers.

Can't believe I missed that, its not very intuitive. Didn't expect it to scroll underneath since menu only comes up part way up the screen.
Thanks
Your welcome
Took me a bit to find that out as well, thought they removed settings from stock browser so installed Xscope Pro then one day when messing with stock browser & ticking request desktop site made the menu scroll.
Cheers.

Hiding apps from drawer

Loving my Mate 20 Pro, coming from HTC U11 big difference! (though to be honest am missing my phone a bit :crying: )
Anyway on the HTC I had the option to hide apps from the app list/drawer. Not uninstall them, just hide them from the list of installed apps. Is this possible with the Huwaei? Don't want nosy husband/kids to know all the apps I have installed. And yes they all have access to my phone
EMUI has a "Hidden Application Menu" which you can access by doing a two finger zoom gesture on the home screen (reverse of a pinch)
After opening this tap the + to add apps. Then just pinch to go back to normal.
Just remembered - this is disabled by default on the M20P so do the following:
- Install "Tweaker for Huawei" from the Play Store
- When you go to turn on the hidden application menu it will say you can't and to download an addon
- download the addon and tap to install it - you will be prompted to allow installs
- enable the hidden application menu then restart the phone
That should be it.

Thank you! I have installed and installed the add on and enabled hidden application menu no problem. I am zooming in on all screens, nothing. Zooming in on all pages does nothing, and cannot find a setting anywhere to hide an app.
You need to zoom out XD
Aha I actually meant out as in a reverse pinch. Nothing a happening
And your setting in Tweaker looks like this?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZSflN9lSx3biVDRbZOVC6zlY1A1hfxHX/view?usp=sharing
Yes exactly.
Then I don't know That should be it as long as you restarted the phone after enabling it.

thank you very much
I can now hide applications running on my Mate 20 pro
I have been faced with the problem of hiding applications but applied the solution suggested by you, but I must explain to you why you did not work first after you have all the steps listed + restart the device must return to the same option and activate it again and on activation you will see a message that was activated and after this step You must change Drawer and make Standard and then work with you

Hello, if you change "Drawer" to "Standard" and now hide the app and then select back "Drawer", does the app stays hidden or it shows inside the app drawer?
Thank you
