You should also post you ambient temperature.
My temperatures were similar to yours.
But i started using BB.67 mine has been much lower.
Mine are similar to yours too. Except my heavy usage tends to go up to 50.

It depend lots on the environmental temperature, and the place where you checked this temperature surely will have temp. less than 27 C.
I've looked for this thread but I haven't find it, so here I am
The title says everything: which rom has the best battery life?
I' ve heard of oxygen but I don't like it However, if that is really the best I'll get used to using it
My personal favourite isthe PerfectPeso by trettet.
My opinion is that it has the best performance, and the battery is also good.
i agree .
Blackbird v1.2 beta 1..its a themed stock rom..has amazing battery life
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
oxygen rom stock kernel or franco4 best battery life for me
Mmm...I've tried perfectpeso 2 weeks ago but the battery wasn't good! It had a big battery drain!
So I've have to choise between oxygen and blackbird...mmm...oxygen?
stick with an older rom... like Mik os's Cm7 port (6.5.7 is my fave) with fserve's goldenleaf LG kernel.... probably the longest lasting battery combination possible.
Oxygen is the best battery now
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Flashed oxygen
I'll report battery performances
With mik_os 6.5.7 my battery lasted up to 5 days, and usualy 3-4 days on smoothas 245/600Mhz, so it is probably one of the best, but now using PerfectPeso2.2, yeah, battery isn't quite good but performance is WOW....

No, it's because lithium ion batteries don't need to be calibrated. Unlike NiCad, they have no memory effect because they're internally monitored and regulated by a charge circuit.
Draining them to zero only adds a tremendous amount of unnecessary wear to the battery. It won't rewrite the information present in the charge circuit, because that circuit is actively monitoring the battery and will shut the device off long before you hit the battery's actual total capacity.
Bottom line: "Calibrating" a lithium ion battery does exactly the opposite of what it claims to do.

Don't know, but Apple and HP recommends calibrating the battery once 3 months or longer. Besides, it's not like I am calibrating everyday that would be crazy. Once in a while (months) won't do much damage to the battery.

I really like to have more battery even if you think its enough because it cost me alot for charging and annoying.

I KNOW THERE A TONS OF SMILAIR QUESTIONS BUT I COULDNT FIND ONE SPECIFIC FOR MY PHONE
I had 4h of gameplay, finished 9MM, battery from 100% down to 10%, so as you can see, games are hard on battery, don't play games so much.

you cant boost battery life.
There is no app which can do that.
In my opinion even roms which claim to boost battery life are fake.
You can Root the delete all the pre-installed SE stuff.
Use V6 supercharger
Calibrate you battery (to prevent any bad values-calibration wont increase battery life but will make sure it is at its MAXIMUM_)
Now there are some kernels which use a technique in order to charge your battery even more
example: Your mobile allows the battery to be charged at 100% and then they discharge it to 90% after 10 min.
This kernel will not reduce battery from 100 to 90. What is more it will increase the maximum value from 100% to 110%.
BUT (YES THE HUGE BUT) it can destroy you battery (yes fire or blow up).
So i don't really recommend it.
I wont risk my life or my house either just for 20% more battery
OR EITHER INSTEAD OF DOING ALL THESE...
BUY A BATTERY FROM HERE
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=neo+v
to tell the truth i never bought a battery from there but i found posts which were saying they are good.
Unfortunately more life time means bigger battery which means for a 3100mAH( the standard battery of neo v is 1500 which means this one lasts x2.08 more time)
or a 3400mAH you will need bigger cover.
Or you can buy the 1700mAH which is not a huge boost(just 13% more) and stay with your current cover.
It is up to you to decide .

Every time when you charge your battery to 100% battery stats got deleted/recreated. So any process of calibration is useless.

Your example only happens if you leave your phone on charger(for some time) after it's been filled to 100%, but even then Sony is pretty good in this point, some other manufactures are even worse. I think HTC Evo had biggest problem with that.
Do you understand what happens in that case, and that it's normal, or else you would have fried your battery keeping it on charger.
There is one great post in XDA, showing you how charging goes, try finding it, if I remember where it is, will post it.
Also, please tell me where is that kernel which will charge your batter to 110%, because it's simply a big BS, and a totally useless thing
And another thing, @OP: phone(even if it's smartphone) is not made for gameplay, HD or not HD, it literally kills battery so bear with it.
Only thing you can do is get another battery and risk your phone with some cheap batteries.
i cant find the post(it was on XDA) it was talking about different features of kernels and there was a kernel which was over charging your battery and wasnt reducing it to 90% too.
That way you had A good enough boost but YES a lot of users had problems because the batteries were "FRIED" i saw one which his phone was in smoke and burned at the back cover, someone's else battery died.
Hmm.. Just noticed when my phone says 100% charged its not! If I pull battery & reboot its 96%.. Is this a bug or what??

And could I destroy my battery if I always has to charge it?? [1x per day]

And no, you won't destroy your battery, indeed you will shorten her life, but hey, you are using smartphone, and it's making your life easier, if you will gonna spend time on thinking to much about battery, you're missing the point
X10 mini pro's battery charged aprox. 2X a day, is still live and kicking like first day

Battery and battery percentage calculations are pretty abstract.. don't try to understand it, and don't bash your head so much about it. It's affected by many variables, and it's not 100% correct.
Sometimes shut down/turn on can take few % of your batter, sometimes it won't take a single %. Same as I have examples where my phone was on standby and in 7h didn't spend one single % of batter, while other day it spend 2,3%

I have some questions regarding the gs3 battery.
1) Does overnight charging the battery harm the battery?

3) How can it be that my phone is awake often, dropping the battery more than normal, while I always close all apps and innternet?

1. I have never had an issue charging overnight infact this is the only time I charge my phone. I may get corrected hear but I think once the battery is full the charging stops.
2. You can charge your battery at any percentage a common misconception is that this harms batteries, that was true in the old days with but with the newer batteries these days I dont think it is. Also You should not let your battery run right down everytime and your device switch off before charging. I normally do this once a month but everyone has a different opinion with batteries. I am not saying I am right and they are wrong because I no expert these comments are purely my own opinion.
3. Even with apps closed there could be an app still causing a wakelock if you install BBS (BatterBatteryStats) you should be able to see what is causing your battery drain.

1. Depends on your definition of "harm" - ANY form of charging will "eat" a little out of the "battery health" (for phones, notebokks and anything else) - however I believe that a well-planned charging strategy would be a great thing for a phone! And one at night seems to be perfect
The major trick IMHO is to avoid recharging with high currents - I believe the stand-alone recharger is pushing about 1000 mA while you will get like 475 mA from the USB port of a computer - that last one will generate a slower but MUCH HEALTHIER recharge (and will also avoid overheating). In order to control that you can run a custom ROM in the phone (in such a ROM for instance with the Siyah kernel it is possible to set those values above - and many other - with a program called STweaks). Of course that a smaller recharging current will mean a longer time to 100% but overnight that should not be a problem.
So the bottom line is that you should recharge as needed, and if possible plan for overnight recharging with the smallest current and at the longest possible interval (I try to do it every 2nd or 3rd night - but that is rarely possible - I need to get one of those 4200-4500 mHz batteries ).
2. Lithium can be generally recharged from any percentage - HOWEVER it is recommended to avoid always recharging from the same (high) percentage - that is a well-known problem with notebook batteries that are kept always plugged-in and are going 100% -> 95% -> 100% -> 95% -> 100% forever - that generates an aging much larger than expected, and some companies like Lenovo have a special mode of battery recharging strategy specifically to avoid that.
That being said I doubt that you keep your phone in the charger at all times, so that should be less of a problem. However I would avoid recharging too often from above 80-90%.
3. I understand you have found your "bad app"
A bit of a spaniard in the works here .
Just a warning we have had a number of posts >>> phone on charge all night dead phone in the morning .
Why i dont know but all have been motherboard jobs .
In theory it should turn off at full charge .

DisableCriticalBatteryShutdown
(for Xposed Framework)
What?
Disables the Auto-Shutdown when Android detects a critical battery level
Why?
This is to prevent the auto-shutdown when you have 1% left of battery. It is useful for calibrating your battery by draining it completely, using Chinese Branded Batteries with terrible battery percentage detection or even lengthen the life of a phone with non-removable battery with terrible calibration.
Compatiblility
Not working on 4.3+
Tested only on AOSP 2.3, 4.0, 4.1
This project is abandoned, I will not add support for any other ROMs.
The App has no interface. It only shows a notification for the attempted shutdown (shown in the attachments)
Disclaimer 1
I am not responsible for any damage to CPUs, SD cards, Internal Storages, or other failures that happened after your battery became flat and your phone abruptly dies.
By choosing to use this module, you are fully aware that this can cause damage to your phone especially when writing data to the SD Card or Internal Storage.
Disclaimer 2
Lithium-Ion batteries should not be drained everyday over a long period of time. Doing so WILL decrease the lifespan of your battery. Calibration may or may not be a placebo, however, it really depends on how you use and what type of battery you use. If it has no effect for you on the first "calibration", please do not continue to drain your battery everyday.

1) No. Until your battery is completely dead
2) Yes, I haven't tested but it is compatible.
If it works, your phone will abruptly shutdown after receiving the "Blocked Shutdown X times"
If it doesn't work, you will see the shutdown dialog with the spinning wheel before your phone shuts down.

Lithium-Ion batteries are NOT meant to be drained. You WILL decrease the life of your battery (since it weakens the anode bars physically). Draining works for Ni-Mh batteries. Android calibrates your battery between 80 and 90% so if you have Lithium ion batteries, calibration is a placebo. Correct me if I'm wrong. :good:

Actually, if the battery metering chip (also known as the 'fuel gauge') is giving inaccurate results, calibration will make a world of difference. Here's an example - on my (generic Chinese) tablet, the meter often goes down quite slowly during usage, while voltage goes down normally (according to BMW). When the meter hits ~35%, the battery starts going down abruptly (~1%/second), until it gets to 0 and the tablet shuts down.
This doesn't mean at all that I have a flawed battery, since I am getting the same usage time as when I bought it (battery was flawed from the start? :silly: ) - the battery meter chip is simply inaccurate.
Thank you, OP, for this mod, it's gonna come in handy.

Removing battery stats is different. On a battery with a terrible calibration, it will not prevent Android from shutting down when it (wrongly) detects a low battery. This module disables the shutdown when you reach 1% and below. Long term usage of draining to 0% WILL lower your battery life. So use only for calibration

My phone seems to have wonky battery life, it will jump from 14 to 12 to 10 to 3 percent then shut down.
This should help immensely for calibration if it does work.
Will report back. Happy holidays ☺

Didn't seem to work for my Beanstalk 4.4.2 HTC One. I am 100% willing to beta test or provide any data if needed
(I installed and activated module, rebooted, let battery drain to 0 from 16, phone proceeded to shut off right away)
