I really dont know what i have done to my phone. 1 year ago i downloaded and flashed 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 or whatever it is with Freex10 flash. Now i wanted to just unroot everything and bring it back to original settings. I started xrecovery and tried to do the backup from last year but it was some md5 error.
So I just tried everything in xrecovery and now nothing is working Its stuck at the Sony Ericsson logo. What should i do? I am completely LOST and have NO IDEA at ALL.
I just want to get everything back to normal.
Flash back to 2.1 generic firmware using flashtool.
You'll need to find the 2.1 firmware on Google(its an xda thread). Then via flash tool flash that firmware. Now everything should work.
I hope you know how to put your phone in flash mode

Hello all
I have been playing around with custom roms and using generic basebands, but lately I need to get back to SE's carrier-specific 2.1 because I believe I have some local carrier settings that I need in order to properly send long sms and mmses. I've used SEUS successfully in the past to repair/reflash.
However after starting up SEUS for the first time in some time, it scans and checks my phone in flash mode and then tells me I have the latest software, but there is no repair button, only an 'exit' that when clicked closes SEUS. I recall vaguely that there used to be an option to repair or reflash? Can anyone help me by giving me some instructions as to how I can reflash using SEUS? Is there some button that I missed? Or is there no such option in the latest version of SEUS?
thanks very mch in advance!
PS I'm not using PC companion as every time I try to repair, after going into flash mode and it says it is 'downloading' the update, it always tells me that 'there is no software available for your phone right now' midway into the process.
Have u used flashtool before? U can use it to get back to 2.1. Its in the development section of the x10 forum. Its on page 1 or 2. Sorry i would post it but i am away from the computer. There is a howto guide by rendeiro2005 inside the flashtool link. Good luck. Will help u wen i get up in the morning lol

...Or, maybe you will find your operators' firmware here and follow the steps in the thread to flash it.
NB! Note that it is 1.6 firm, but after flash u can update to 2.1 in the normal way trough SEUS or PCC.
Yeah I used flashtool in place of seus for flashing eventually, but I need a carrier-specific fw.
Thanks G-face for the link but there isn't a Singapore one. Is there no way to reflash using SEUS now?

what rom are you running on? i had exactly the same problem a couple of days ago with beta4 installed.
you need to get back to any 2.1 stock rom, then the SE update sw will let you repair your phone.
i had an old xrecovery-backup from the latest update to bb .54, i flashed that via xrec and then it was no problem to repair with pc companion...
I think you can search for the last files SEUS downloaded for you and then flash them back with flashtool, e.g. in my case SEUS downloaded 2 big files to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db\13740270\blob_fs
One of them is ~150Mb and the other ~15Mb.
Then all you have to do is decrypt them with flashtool and create a bundle to be ready to go. I hope that works for you.

I think I encountered this issue when I tried to play around with the SI number. I managed to get back to my original firmware when I changed my SI number to World Generic, then repair the firmware via SEUS then root and then change back the SI number to Singapore one.
Try this and let me know if it works for you.

+1) use the app root explorer, set to R/W, and long press on build.prop file, and open in text editor. Then edit the CDA number from generic back to Singapore. It is repeated twice maybe three times. For example, the x10a global generic is 1234 - 4820, and to change back to X10a Brazil is 1234 - 4836. Save and close changes. Reboot phone.
Find the folder where you saved the Update Service on your pc. Go into the folder and delete the contents of "db" folder. This will wipe any data so Update Service will have to reread your device and download the appropriate firmware for repair software.
Turn off phone. Run SEUS. It Will say that you already have the latest software. REPAIR ANYWAY. DONE!
Below is the link to the thread with all the CDA numbers and detailed instructions.

Um, That's because your not running Sony Ericsson firmware anymore.
To get back to stock 2.1 either "repair software" via SEUS or PC Companion, or restore your xRecovery backup if you made one.
There doesn't seem to be a 'repair software' option for me in SEUS, after checking phone in flash mode the only thing I get is 'exit' :/
Ok, then use flash tool 0.2.9 and flash global generic firmwar. Both found here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Then you can root with the flash tool, and then modify build.prop.

It's been a while for me, but repair software via SEUS should work.
So pretty much my phone is not useable atm. when you unlock the phone it goes to a black screen where the only thing you can do is pull down the menu. you cant lock the phone back up or anything. you can also no longer get into xrecovery to flash a new rom onto it or anything. I can still use flashtool but from what I know you can only flash BBs onto the phone.
Does anyone know a way to maybe flash a new ROM onto my phone or restore it from a nandroid or anything?
I think the best way is to restore it with PC Companion to the stock ROM and then root it and put some custom ROM in.

When I try that it says there is no software available for my phone
Hey,
I am having the same issue when trying flash with PC Companion. But am running CM6.1.3 fine for a week now. I wonder what I'm gonna do when I need to go back to stock SE.
Any thoughts?

just use flashtool.... it's the best way to fix any problem.. turn off your phone, let it stay off for a minute or two, and just flash the latest firmware...
you can use flashtool like said in above post from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746&highlight=flashtool
and then I think the best thing is to first flash original ROM from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936733&highlight=flashtool
When you have done that use the flashtool to install the latest recovery menu.
And when u have done this you can use the recovery menu to go back to your latest nandroid backup since it is still on your SD
good luck, and sorry if you already know this
Think you already found this but here is it anyway in case you didn't : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
Is is guide for the flashtool with stock ROM in the thread.

Hi all,
yesterday i flashed my ST15i Mini the SEUS and Flashtool way, SEUS checked my Phone and downloaded the files then it says it wont flash because i have not orginal FW. I make the FTF file with flashtool, put in information on Device:St15i Version: 4.1.b.0.587 Branding:Global
and unchecked the option disable verification check
After flashing (all went fine) i connected phone to pc companion and it tells me there is a new firmware out 4.1.b.0.587
so what did i wrong
According to my knowledge, Seus will check the device first and then only download the firmware. if it says you have a modified software then it won't download the firmware. If I'm right you must have decrypted the old update from the seus folder and flashed the old (.431) firmware again so only it's prompting you to do the upgrade.
I might be even wrong so better backup the firmware files from seus folder and delete them from seus folder. Then try to do the upgrade. And see whether the firmware files are created again.
Hit thanks if I helped

Hy guys . I`m sick with 2.3.7 getting so bugged so i decided flashing my ST 25i . Since i don`t want to lose my original firmware i must first do a backup . I searched how to backup but the tutorial with SUS
"a) if you do not want to lose warranty of your phone, first thing you have to do is to backup your original customization
b) download Sony Update Service (SUS) and reinstall firmware of your phone (backup your data first)
c) after that, go to SUS folder in Program Files and search for folder db/some Number/blob_fs, there you find 3 files, which names start FILE
d) download latest XPERIA Flashtool from here
e) paste the three files, which names start FILE, from blob_fs folder to folder „Firmware“ included in the XPERIA Flashtool
f) open the Flashtool, click on Advanced, choose decrypt files and put all three files from blob_fs folder to the right columm
g) click ok and after approx. one minute a pop up Window will appear via Flashtool
h) mark all files and transfer them to the right column, than fill in a box in the right upper corner (fill in what you want, it is just for you)
i) now click ok and Flashtool will create backup of your original firmware customization, that you can anytime flash to your phone "
does not work for me . I`m stuck at SUS . I connect my phone in flash mode but SUS tells me that there is no other software for my phone , and i don`t have a "Next" button like in Youtube tutorial : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB77gWRUI_A . So guys please tell me if you know , how can i backup my Software ???
Why don't you try to make a backup using CWM??
I got a bad news from service center , in India they say that if u update via SEUS u void your warranty ....As per them it deletes some 'p' file in system which will be traced easily on warranty claim and warranty will stand cancelled.....
Now I am not sure about this as never heard from any other person.

Absolutely untrue buddy...I updated my cousin's X10 mini using SEUS .Later when it was bricked(not due to SEUS )service centre repaired it without any ado.
Yea so i guess the best option is CWM ...
@jass8669 i don`t think that's true
Since u have an experience so its confirmed to my relief that we can update via SEUS... maybe the service center guy was confusing it with flashing unofficial custom roms.

Mmm . After a few more research , i`ve found that there isn`t any CWM for GB ?
So , i ask you again . Is there any way to backup my stock firmware ?
My phone software : 1254-3522_6.0.B.3.188 Generic - USER
Hmm..Do you have stock B.3.184 fw?If so flash only the kernel in flash mode. Then download and flash the B.184 kernel with CWM 6 posted under Xperia U Android Development by arnob_xperia(I can't post links as I'm new here).........
EDIT:Here's the link for B.184 kernel: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?vf3vpl3ovd4803l

When u select any ftf on flashtool
U can exclude several parts like kernel, data, system... Can u try it on a different pc and report back
Also flashing wont start unless u connect the swtiched off phone to pc with vol down button pressed
