I've tried several MD5 utilities & none can access Indirect's MD5 files posted in his goo-insideme folder. FastSum chokes on there being no *prepending the associated filename.
So @Indirect what are you using?
Anyone else what have you found to work best?
I've searched the entire site and none of the utilities mentioned properly access these associated .md5 files.
Can you be more specific, i have checked and there are no .md5 files in Indirec't files i've seen a windows application md5sum.exe and in others his own apps check md5 but thats it,is that what you referring? or you want to find a way to check md5 of a file like for example boot.img?
A .md5 file like for example nandroid.md5 created after a CWM backup can be accessed with notepad:

Thanks for your prompt reply!
I am a proponent of letting the machine do the checking so I seek to automate where possible. When the download page loads it presents the visible sum and a MD5 file to download as well. 2 utilities I've tried choke on there being no "*" prepending the filename that follows the sum within the file. If I add the "*" these utilities do report file verified.
I understand that Goo-Inside may be generating the MD5 on it's own is a possibility.
so what you want is to create .md5 file? thats easy , let me know so i show you

Hi all!
As you know, we can view and save java classes in classes.dex via some tools. And we have enough guides (like this; http://goo.gl/QkK6P7 ) but it requires effort so, I made this small tool for lazy people
This script will show the java files in your apk/jar (framework). Instructions as below:
1. Download the zip in Attachments.
2. Extract Java-Viewer.zip anywhere on your PC.
3. Put your an apk or jar (framework) in "Input".
4. Execute "Run_me_first.bat"
5. Follow Instructions (in tool)
**JRE is required
**IMPORTANT: DO NOT leave spaces when you name your apk files, e.g. "123 abc.zip" is a no go, "123abc.zip" is the correct way,
Bugs;
-After converting dex to jar, the script ends suddenly. Thats why you need execute View_Java.bat after finish Run_me_first.bat script
-jd-gui can't decompile all smali files.
Applications are used;
-JD-GUI 0.3.6
-7zip
-dex2jar-0.0.9.15

Hi,
I did TWRP recovery backup of my ROM and it told me that the backup file will be stored at data/media/TWRP/BACKUPS/.....
However when I boot into Android and could not locate such folder/file in file browser. I just saw a 'TWRP' folder in root folder but nothing is inside the folder. I think the backup file is somewhere since within TWRP recovery it is there ready for restore.
Anyone can tell me why this happen? Thanks a lot.

In TWRP, are you doing the backups to External Storage?
In my experience in TWRP, I haven't seen the backups being done on the Data partition; they are always in either the "sdcard" or "extsdcard."
I use ES File Explorer, and here is the location of my Backup File:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Notice how it's in the /storage/extSdCard/ partition, not in the /data/media/ partition. Maybe that's where you should look... If you're saving it to "internal storage" in TWRP, then you may want to check the /storage/emulated/0/ partition.
Also, notice how the file date is really old (1979). That could be a good search criteria for you to use to find the files if the above is unsuccessful.
I hope you can find it!
Hi, so i got a simple tablet, Multilaser M7S Lite, and i want to root it, my main goal is to be able to edit System folder, i want to change the boot animation, mainly.
So , since there is no TWRP recovery for this brand, i decided that the only way, was with magisk patching boot.img. So i found my deivce firmware - https://www.stockrom.net/2021/04/multilaser-m7s-lite-so06-v7-20200509-8-1oreo.htmland download the .img file. So to extract the boot.img, i need to change it to .zip file and open. But when opening it it says the following:
And using 7-zip, it only extract this files :
What can i do?
The firmware-package file you linked to is a .RAR-formatted archive.
When you unpack this .RAR-file then you can see a ML***USER.img is housed therein what is tablet's Stock ROM.
To unpack this .IMG-file you may use sim2img provided here:
[DEV][Tools] simg2img for Windows
Hello, although I'm working in Linux (VM too) I rewrote the SIMG2IMG so far for Windows (PE32, x86) Usage: simg2img.exe -i -o Optional: -d for debugging messages, listing all chunks of the image...

Running sim2img, it says bad magic.
It's the full firmware but is it an allwinner or a rockchip or... These tabs can be like whatever. Check that first then google how to extract etc.
I found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...images-unpacker-packer.1753473/#post-28329544
SOO i manage to unpack it!!
Which file i use in magisk to patch?? boot.fex?
yep.

what I wrote to add GMS apps to WSA.
If you're intetested in this script then feel free to download it from here
Usage:
1. Extract the downloaded .ZIP to any location of your Windows computer
2. Within the extracted package run WSA-GMS-Installer.bat

This software is "AS IS". It may contain bugs. If any noticed then please let me know it here.
Side remark:
The software provided here ( my Windows CMD script ) has a top-down approach, means it's broken down into smaller fragments, better known as modules:
check_internet_is_available
verify_wsa_installation
check_wsa_is_running
do_sanity_checks
setup_gapps_arrays
setup_workspaces
setup_gapps_distro
check_for_enough_diskspace_on_pc
download_gapps_distro
unpack_downloaded_gapps_distro
verify_download
make_room
extract_apk_files_from_gapps_distro
connect_with_wsa
copy_files_onto_wsa
set_android_cmdlets
verify_gms_core_already_installed
check_for_enough_available_disk_space_on_wsa
install_apk_files_on_wsa
clean_up
That link isn't workign for me.. it just takes me to a blank page labeled "here."
