Do i need to remove stock keyboard first? Do i must to replace files? Because "[Keyboard] X10mini" is an Stock Keyboard too...
The OP has omitted telling you to set permissions on the files copied over.. That's why you don't "see" the new keyboard.
Set permissions the same as the other files in each folder.

Download the zip file for .69 for xmp rooted here and extract it. In system there must be the textinput-tng.apk. Just copy to system, change the permissions with root explorer or some other to the permissions of the other apps there and install it. Reboot and should be fine
Um,thanks....but do I need to flash everything once again.???cant I just get the mini pro keyboard app....

No, don't flash again. Just download the rom on your pc. You extract it and you will get a system folder. In the system folder, there's an app folder. And in the app folder there's the "textinput-tng.apk". You take this and put it on the sd card of your device. Now you use any root explorer and copy it to the phone /system/app folder. There you install it. Check if there's written rw-r--r-- .
If it is just reboot and it should be done, otherwise do these steps:
To do this the system has to be mounted read/write.
Check out these screenshots (in the right corner it has to say mount r/o that you can edit system apps, not like in my screenshot r/w)

Hold on the app and click on permissions:
And check out it is like this:
That's it! Reboot and it should be done
Download the package mihahn gave the link to.
Extract the .ftf file from the package with 7zip or winrar or similar archiver program.
Open (not extract just open) the .ftf file, use 7zip or winrar again.
Goto /system/app/ and find textinput-tng.apk.
Move that to your SD card.
Then use a file manager on your phone to move textinput-tng.apk from your SD card to your rom's /system/app/.
Reboot and you should have the keyboard working.

There's no ftf to extract. He only should download the zip file from this post (the one for xperia mini rpo 4.0.2.A.0.69 - flash via recovery) and extract it using for example 7zip or winrar. There's just a system folder inside, which he has to open, open app folder and do it like I explained in Post #4!
Because there's no ftf
But wait, did you mean hardware keyboard or onscreen? For hardware do same and if it doesn't work try this fix
Sorry my mistake, I didn't realise that particular download was just folders and I thought it was an .ftf file as that's what I have been downloading from that post.
Thanks mihahn...I was talking bout the on screen keyboard..this should do the trick.
Nice. Screenshots also...thanks.

Go to the system folder and check these permissions as you saw in the screenshots, if they aren't like that correct them.
Reboot and go to system>apps>International keyboard and after that you clear data and clear cache.
Reboot and should be done!
Btw hit thanks if my posts are helping you
Edit:: If you say it was all empty, which explorer do you use? Use root explorer (paid app) or use ES File Explorer, I think they can change permissions...
Im using root explorer...but all the boxes were unchecked.another thing,I just noticed that the portrait onscreen keyboard force closes evrytim I try to type anythin....

Remove it again reboot. After reboot just copy it there and reboot again, don't install or do anything. After the reboot it should work.
And make sure you copied the gingerbead app and not ics...
Took that file from stock gb...removed da keyboard app...rebooted....pasted the new keyboard in system apps...checked all the permissions....rebooted again...same result.sigh.

System Apps

We all know that one of the reasons for rooting is to be able to get rid of bloatware......
But what if you've deleted the wrong app by mistake?
How do you get it back?
You *could* re flash the firmware or download the firmware, extract it and try to locate the missing app from the extracted files.......
Wouldn't it be easier to be able to simply get hold of a copy of the app and push it to it's original location?
Hopefully the links below will help you do just that......
System>>app apps
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24352994023706117
System>>priv-app apps
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24352994023706139
Just download the relevant zip, extract it, push the required app(s) to its/their correct location, set permissions (rw- r-- r--) and reboot.
These apps have been ripped from the Touchwiz 4.4.2 ANG2 firmware on a G900F.
I don't claim any ownership or copyright over them, I supply them 'as is' for legitimate use in replacing mistakenly deleted apps in firmwares, and accept no responsibility for any problems caused by using them.
They will work with Touchwiz KitKat firmwares, but I can't vouch for Lollipop or newer as I don't know if Samsung changed their firmware framework in any critical areas with the newer firmwares....
The only apps I haven't included in either zip are those connected with knox.....but let's face it, nobody wants them anyway....

Awesome
Can we expect a lollipop version soon?

Probably not for the forseeable future....unless somebody else provides it......at this time, I'm not contemplating upgrading my device to Lollipop. ...I run a few UI mods and at the moment, lollipop has broken (some) of that capability.....
Ripping those apps is pretty easy anyway.....
All you need is a rooted S5 running lollipop and an app like Root Explorer that can change the RO status of the app directory to RW......
Then all you do is copy the apps (without the odex files) into a folder on (for example) external storage and (optionally) zip the folder......simples
If somebody wants to do that, I'm more than happy to host it on my AFH....(with credit/mention given).....
Edit....downloading lollipop from sammobile now (give it another 24 hrs and the download might have finished) at that point, I'll see if it's possible to extract the apps from the firmware tar....
If it is, I'll upload them to AFH and post a link.......although I won't know for certain whether they should go in System>>app or System>>priv-app.....
Having said that, if a member needs them the chances are that they'll also know which directory to push them to....
Edit 2......
No joy....downloaded the firmware, was able to extract twice (zip to tar, then tar to img files) and couldn't get any further.....
Tried using 7 zip on my pc and 7zipper2.0 on my phone.....

do you have any solution if we accidentally delete the odex file too. I made backups of the apk and odex but repushing them back didnt work. Any ideas?

The odex file should 'regenerate' automatically the next time you re-boot.....
I'm sure you've seen the 'Android is Upgrading' message appear when you boot up after a factory reset, or during the first boot after a rom flash......
This is what is happening when you see that.....The odex files being generated....

Did you change the permissions on the apk file before rebooting? (Need to be set to RW- R-- R--)
If not, you need to do that......then delete the odex file you pushed into the directory and reboot....

Im using ES File Explorer so i set MOUNT R/W / and /system to RW to be able to replace and delete the files. Then i set them to RO and reboot.. no luck.
Im guessing thats wrong.

No....that's not setting permissions, that's just changing the read/write status of the directory you're working in.....
You are correct in that you need to set it to RW before you start though.....
Try 'long pressing' on the app in question and see if a dialogue box appears....If it does, look for 'permissions'.........
I use Root Explorer, so I'm not sure how ES File Explorer does things......

The messages app crashes. Never mind it works.
The dialer and contacts app don't seem to work on the US models as it causes acore error and crashes.
