TV Remote?? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Looking for any app to control my TV (Samsung, no DLNA)
Is there any Infra Red based TV remote..
sent via awesome aRc (rooted 2.3.4)

Ned infrared to utilize an app. Unfortunately less and less phones have this feature these days.
Sent from my Nexus in Texas.

Look at the Redeye RE0002 at www.thinkflood.com. It consists of an app for your phone that communicates via wifi with the redeye base station which communicates via IR with your a/v equipment. They're not cheap, but they work very well.

Check with your cable provider. I use FIOS for example, and they have an app that controls all this. Some TVs such as Samsung have apps if the tv is connected to your network.

[Q] Android vs PC wireless keyboard?

My (wireless) keyboard + mouse are working with PC thanks to 2.4GHz receiver connected to USB. Since it's 2.4GHz, I started to think if there's any way to use this set with my phone?
There's no pair button.
Phone: HTC Desire
Set: Tracer TRK-305WSG
No, I don't think so. A Bluetooth mouse and keyboard will work fine with the phone, but RF ones won't. They might be working at the same frequency, but they're not the same. Nice thinking though.

APP to stream music from cell to tablet

Hey ladies and gentlemen,
I have a tablet installed in my car as the audio headunit. The current set up has me turn on my tethering on phone and have tablet connect to that. From there I can run pandora etc and play music. My question is if there is an app that I can just stream the pandora music etc from my phone to the tablet (basically turn my tablet into a2dp). Thanks guys
The one that comes with Samsung Galaxy S2 is very good. It can stream music using blue tooth.

Which app? Also I know how to stream to Bluetooth devices that are built in cars. But whenever I don't know how to stream to tablet. I can send files etc. But my hope is to have Pandora app recognize tablet as a2dp device and stream to tablet when connected.
Why not just tether the tablet to the phone and stream directly from the tablet?

App to stream A2DP audio FROM iphone TO android tablet used in Car
I too am looking for an app on a tablet (IF IT EXISTS) that can have any A2DP device stream bluetooth, stereo audio TO the tablet, to be able to play the audio through its headphone jack. Idea here is for people that take an off the shelf Galaxy Tab 7 or the new Nexus Tablet and use it as their infotainment center in their car, cleanly installed behind a bezel, self powered, etc... does this app exist?

Nexus player works with Toshiba TV IR remote!

I have my Nexus Player connected to a Toshiba 39” TV model 39L1350UC.
Last night I noticed that I was able to navigate the NP's screen using the TV IR remote. I was able to replicate all the NP's remote buttons except for the ‘Home’ button.
I have nothing plugged in the microUSB port in the back by the way.
I even managed to control the NP using my Harmony H659 (which is IR based).
I believe that the Nexus remote uses a Bluetooth connection. Am I missing something here?
Your TV is probably sending the commands through the HDMI port.

It has limited cec function. My TV remote works with my fire tv but functionality is low. I'm able to do some navigation but don't think I was able to select. Eventually I hope all set top boxes catch up with cec. Kodi on my rpi works out of the box with all my TVs.

HDMI-CEC, that must be it. I get all the buttons working except for the voice and home ones.
I actually prefer to use the Harmony in Kodi as the loud clicks of the NP's remote just drive me nuts.

Using old symbian phone as a media reciever

Old nokia 5800 have audio/video output via 3.5mm jack(RCA cable), thus it is useful when connected to old T.V. Question is, how we could turn it into a wireless video reciever-connecting android or windows wirelessly to it and playing audio or video. It will be great as a media hub.

Does any android phone have this function too?
