Hi guys, Merry Christmas!!
My old S2 is on ORANGE network at the moment, and i would like to give it to my mother as she hasnt got a smartphone.
She is on o2, i was looking on sammobile and it has different firmwares, branded and non-branded.
My question is, can i flash the s2 with the stock non-branded ROM or will this cause problems because my s2 is orange branded at the moment?
I don't want to brick the phone
Use galaxy s2 sim unlock from google play and then flash o2 firmware

In theory it should never happen nothing. It is sufficient that you flash a ROM of the same nation, for safety
Dear All,
I have been facing an issue of slow gprs on my Samsung Galaxy S3 SHV-E210K due to edge network and HSDPA network not being shown while gprs is connected(instead, G and 3G are shown). The speed has dropped to as low as 1/6 of the original (which I get on my Nokia C5 phone).
I have a strong feeling that if I convert this korean version of Galaxy S3, I will be able to solve the problem. Please help me converting it completely to international version like Galaxy S3 I9305 because the configuration is exactly the same.
I dont know how to root, how to install custom rom, where can they be found. But a step by step guide will surely help me a great deal. I have heard that this is the best site for all the android forums. Please post the complete solution as soon as possible.

It's very simple just install a custom recovery (ClockWorkMod Recovery) build your own rom with android kitchen using original rom from i9300 and boot.img from galaxy shv-e210k. that's it.

@kasingy: I was able to convert it successfully to i9300 using HD Revolution ROM for SHV -E210K but the problem of slow gprs persists. the data sign show G in place of E in INDIA. I think it is due to only 900Hz frequency available in this rom where as Indian phones support 850Hz for edge network..
I have tried flashing various modem.bin files for i9300 to it but didnt get signals.
What to do please help. Will be very very grateful to you!
One more thing, if you are able to solve this, many Indian customers of SHV-E210k could get relief!!
Is it posible?
Is converting to the international version even possible??
Hi,
A number of months ago I purchased my first smartphone ever, a Samsung Galaxy S3 4G GT-i9305T.
The phone was already unlocked and not connected to any carrier.
I have been reading about rooting and want to try it on my phone for some of the benefits.
It is running Android 4.1.2 and my question is can i use the rooting methods for the i9300?
Try searching here

By the way that's the section where you should be asking your questions that's for your device..
