[Q] Capacitive Buttons vibrations - 7 Mozart General

What do you think about the vibrations of the capacitive buttons ? I think it's pretty loud and strong in case of Mozart and I really don't understand why it's like that. My Mozart also has some bad vibration unit, so it's much louder than other Mozarts but anyway it's really anoying. If you try HD7 you will see the difference, it's so quite.

did you get the set brand new/secondhand/refurbished? try replacing the vibrator in the phone..
IMHO the vibrations are not that bad- though with attentive phone, it vibrates like crazy whenever its in the pocket...

Hey can someone explain me why i do not have "attentive phone " at my marketplace ???

You can find it under HTC Hub\ Featured \ Get more \ applications.

It was brand new phone, so I sent it to HTC phone service. I hope they will repair it and they won't say it's just normal. Even though other phones vibrations are pretty quite.

[Q] Volume keeps turning itself up

When ever I have the phone on the volume will keep turning up stopping me from doing anything on the phone. I tried restarting it and it has been fine for about 4 months and not covered by warranty since bought from someone has anyone else seen this problem.
If so how could I sort it out. It has had a custom rom and hspl from when I bought it meaning it was fine when he had it as well but now the phone just won't stop turning the volume up.
Thanks if you can help!
I wouldn't know, but it sounds to me your 'volume-up' button 'hangs'.

This is the weird thing the rock switch is fine. Guess may just have to take it in for repair or sell it and get the HD7
Loved this phone
"My stuff doesnt work, ah well too bad i'll just send it on ebay"
I hope ur being 100% transparent and warning potential buyers...
I much prefer the old style of presentation of the HD2 than HD7, plus i love physical buttons So will never switch my HD2 for HD7, even if it was possible to do so for free
The volume buttons may be misaligned/shorted by some conductive residue. If you're up to it, open us your phone and peel out the white portion above the volume buttons, cleaning the contacts with alcohol and realigning the metal buttons if necessary. Just be careful not to over-bend the flexible ribbon cable that attaches the volume buttons to the mainboard. This should solve your problem.

[Q] HTC Mozart proximity sensor/development issue

I am posting this out of sheer desperation, I have spent the last 9 hours searching the internet for a solution to this problem and as of yet I have not found it.
Heres the problem:
My dad bought a HTC Mozart off ebay, as you know the mozart is a 'Windows 7' phone.
The phone works perfect, until you make a phone call, as soon as you ring a number or answer an incoming call the screen goes black until the other person hangs up or you remove the battery.
It's definately the proximity sensor, but no fixes have worked and I cannot find anywhere to test it in the settings but it does not respond to high intensity light being shined into it, headphones being attached, or hard pressing.
I have taken the phone apart and cleaned it out completely and the problem persists.
I have updated the phone to the latest OS available (7.8) but still nothing.
I have factory reset the phone, still nothing.
I am positive its the proximity sensor, and I want to disable it..
But now need to pay to become a developer? It all seems a bit too big a task for something relatively simple?
I am an iphone user, although my preference is to Android, I can root/jailbreak these with ease and have done to both a HTC Desire and a Iphone 4S, but this windows phone is giving me a headache!
Failing all software mods? If I just snapped off the sensor, would that bypass it? The phone works perfect other than that ridiculous little component (none of my other phones have this sensor?).
Thank you in advance!

[Q] Clicking inside phone?

Hi, I used the search but I couldn't find anyone else having a problem like this so I'm asking right now!
I just got my HTC One 3 days ago and I absolutely love it! With that being said, I have noticed a strange click that seems to happen inside of the phone everyone and a while. I have tried turning off all the "button noises" in the settings and it still happens, it seems to happen often when I am typing but also happens at other times too. It's not terrible but it is a little annoying as I want my phone to be perfect
Oh and just to clarify it sometimes happen when I tough the screen and sometimes when I don't. So it nothing like a response noise.
Sorry for the block of text!
Thanks!
it is probably just the camera or autofocus sensor had the same problem on my old iphone and all the ones that i've had while changing out for a good one had the same sound

Under sound there is a option to enable touch sounds when making screen selection, it is a clicking type sound, do you have this enabled, drove me crazy for about the first 3 days
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium HD app
Mine has no clicking sound, but my autofocus is broken, going for a replacement today.
Mine has a weird click when the haptic feedback hits sometimes. I think it's just the vibrate motor kicking on.

^^ I think it is the the vibration kicking in or something. I have turned off all screen tough sounds and everything but it still happens. Like I said, it's not a huge deal but just slightly annoying. I'm going to try turning the vibration on touch off.

[Q] HTC Droid DNA Stuck on Black Screen

Hey,
I'm new to these kinds of things like forums and stuff like that, so sorry if I'm not that clear with what I'm saying. If I could also get some criticism on the post itself and how I can improve, it'd be a great help!
I've had this phone since November of 2013 and this is my first time encountering this problem. After getting home from school, I took my phone out of my backpack and tried waking it(simply pressing the power button so I could see the lock screen), then I noticed nothing would happen. I tried again and again then noticed that the 3 "buttons" at the bottom of my phone were lighting up when I unlocked it, and disappear when locking it. Once I unlocked it, I was able to turn the volume higher and lower, listen to music(because I remember what the layout looks like before it had a black screen), and even (somewhat) use apps. Every time I hear my phone ring, it really makes me want to punch it, because I know that the phone itself is working, but just the screen won't turn on. Like even when I registered for xda-developers, my phone rang once I got the e-mail to verify my account.
I looked at a bunch of other threads before creating this one. Some said to hold down Power Button, Volume +, and Volume - for 30-60 seconds. I tried doing this multiple times, each time holding down the buttons a different amount of seconds, and nothing happened. I let the 3 icons at the bottom blink 15 times, wait a few seconds, let it vibrate, then let go. The longer I held the buttons, the more it would vibrate(about one vibrate for every 15 seconds). I hear the sound effects when turning it on and off("Droid" in the robot voice, then followed by some weird robot-sounding noises). Some people just said to let it charge, and I also tried that. Nothing happened, really, it just charged.
I've been thinking of letting the battery die out, but who wouldn't think of that? So I just ditched that idea. Tell me if I should try it, though, please.
My phone's pretty beat up, but nothing to the point where some parts of the screen would stop working, just two pretty big cracks on it. Sorry, I can't post pictures 'cause I'm new > <
If you guys could help me out with this, or just tell me if it doesn't work at all, it'd be a great help.
Thanks,
Joseph
Sounds like the LCD has been broken.

That sounds pretty simple. Would I need to replace it, get a new phone, or fix it myself at home?

I would replace the screen. Whether or not you want to do it yourself depends on your confidence, experience, and tools. If you've never torn a phone apart before, then you might want to find a friend who is handy or go to a shop because HTCs, in general, are not the easiest things to start with. And you'll definitely want to buy the already pre-assembled LCD+Digitizer combo as trying to separate the 2 would be more hassle than it is worth.

Ambient Display?

I am looking into possibly buying this phone. Does it have ambient display? I had a lg v20 for a long time and it had the 2nd screen. I like being able to see the time and if i have notifications without having to pick up the phone or turn it on. I recently had to switch to a pixel xl and it sucks! its always a blank screen unless its plugged in to charge (which makes no sense).
anyway. im trying to see if this phone has some sort of ambient display

Thanks! By chance would you be able to tell me if you can feel it vibrate while in your pocket? And if, when on a call you can hear the other person well?

The vibration on this phone is acceptable.
I have no problem feeling the phone in my jeans pocket and I also feel it if I have him on a jacket pocket.
You can hear the other person properly although if you max the volume you'll hear some crackling, especially with headphones.
Other than that it's a good phone for the price you're paying. I got mine oh amazon for 160€ and I'm very pleased!
I put an app on mine called Always on AMOLED. You can customize the look. I have it set to show date, time, and battery. The time is very large and the display shifts periodically, so no burn in. Also, if you have music playing it will give you music control buttons. Best of all, the screen doesn't wake up if you plug it in or unplug it. It does use up battery a little faster, but if you put the phone face down or in a case or in your pocket it turns off. I usually have it in an upright dock so it is charging and and I can see the time and any notifications. By the way, the dock is a V20 dock. It works perfectly with this phone.

does yours fade in and out? when i go into the moto app it says moto display should do so, but mine does not. if i get a notification, it will show once, then phone stays blank unless i touch it.
