Android Version: 4.0.3
Kernel Version: 2.6.35-10-cyanogenmod
Cyanogenmod version: 9.0.0-RC0-KANG
Model Number: P500
I know that the 4.0.3 is still in development. But If I read well it supports GSM.
My problem is that my phone dont recognize any band locally.
I allready have the new band, I did this --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149530
In gingerbread, the phone works correctly, after I flashed the rom with the new band, it recognized every band without any problem.
But not in Android 4.0.3. I know that I'm supposed to have the new band to use this one... but I allready have, and doens't work.
Any Idea will be really appreciatted. Thanks!

v10e is the old baseband... you must flash the new to get working gsm in this rom.
in the link above is writed how to flash baseband

Thanks for your reply, but now I flashed with "- P500-v20G-baseband.7z"
The process seems to be done, but now I don't have signal, under Gingerbread.
Is this okay, Do I have to switch to Android ICS 4.0.3 now? or am I supposed to have signal, after flashing with v20g?

what gingerbread version are you using? the mik's cm7 is for old baseband so with this don't work the gsm.
try flashing cm9
My cyanogenMod Version is: "9.0.0-RC0-KANG"
I will check my Gingerbread version in a sec. Since, I switched to Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and... GSM is working now
Maybe it has to do with my Gingerbread version, since the cyannogenmod is at 9.0, or at least that is what my phone says at "about"
btw... it is possible to add google accounts on this Android 4.0.3 ICS ? or maybe that option will ported later by the developers?
flash the gapps.zip. You will found the link in generel section thread of cm9. on phone it's
hard for me to copy the link )

Is reading so tough??? It is given clearly in the thread's first post.
Do NOT proceed until you fully understand the following:
- P500-v20G-baseband.7z is for official v20[abdg....] ROMs and ROMs based upon it (e.g., GingerLOL, v20G stock ROM, customized v20G ROM, 0x0v3rfl0w ROM and GingerCriccoROM).
- P500-v10E-baseband.7z is for all other ROMs.
You've to downgrade to v10E.
[EDIT]: Saw your post. Glad that is is working fine now.
i knew its mentioned but its mentioned customized v20G ROM
so i was confirming that cyanogen comes under 20g or 10e
i did it wth 10e only
You could also flashed the rom with kdz and that way the old baseband would be written automatically.
Discussion thread for cyanogenmod 7.2.0 by adfad666
No more spamming in the main thread
Questions like: what kernel, what baseband, got drunk and bricked my phone.... HERE
OK, first q: can someone post Neocore results on F1 and 06.12 franco`s kernel?
Baseband question: i'm on the new baseband (was on stock 2.3, then flashed to openoptimus). I really like the look of some of these .32 kernels and roms but everything says its for old baseband.
Can i go back to the old baseband? Is there a thread somewhere? Is it safe? From my own investigation, it looks to me like I don't go back to the old baseband, but rather flash some patch to make the roms work anyway. Sound right?

It is safe, and you will not have data(2G/3G) working if you don't have it
Most of us are on old baseband, and also most of us had new baseband

It won't be OK. If your phone uses the "new" baseband, ROMs made for the "old" baseband will work on your phone (as in flashing will be successful, the phone boots etc.) and everything works except for the most important thing in a phone: the GSM/UMTS module. Which means you won't be able to connect to your mobile network and won't be able to make and receive calls. Bummer. Now, there's a patch that solves this BUT something will still be missing: mobile data. You will be able to make and receive phone calls, but you won't be able to connect to the internet using the mobile data connection (only WiFi).
So, if you want to use a ROM that clearly states it's made for the old baseband, old baseband is what you must have on your phone in order for both calls and internet to work. How to tell which baseband do you have right now it's a different discussion and we'll get there if necessary. I just detailed vlt86's answer for you to understand.
EDIT: I see you already know what baseband you have - the new one. Follow voyager20021's link in order to find out how to return to the old one.

Here you find both Basebands (New and Old) and also a guide to change them.
And also there is a Search button on the page which gives you alnost ALL answers
OLD BASEBAND: V10X, only for use with ROMs based on Froyo or unofficial CM.
NEW BASEBAND[: V20X, only for use with ROMs based on Gingerbread or official CM.
You can change this using LGMDP but I prefer use KDZ Firmware Updater (but you need to root and install recovery each time).
If you flash any ROM without the right baseband you haven't GSM and/or data connectivity.
Hi there
I think the reason why I do not see a network or SIM card is because the baseband is empty as well as the IMEI.
I installed ICS Dynamite 4.0 and I assume that maybe the missing baseband is the reason.
I am Germany right now, does it matter what baseband I am going to use?
Interestingly when I flash back a working Cyanogen 7 rom a baseband is back.
Any tips?
Claas
cm7
which cm7 build did you flash?

Are you on the old baseband?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
being in germany or any other part of the world really shouldnt matter about baseband....v10 is old baseband, if you rooted a stock phone, than yes your on old baseband or so I was when I first got this phone....In order to get v20, you need to use LGDMP v1.5, search for Doktonor's thread on flashing with LGDMP....it's not that hard really, and applies to any v20 series (a,b,c,etc)...all you do is extract the 7z file format, open LGDMP, you'll have 4 files total in this extracted folder.....I cant remember to the T on the whole process but the thread by doktonor is with pictures and well be able to help you out....if your having a problem with mobile data and dont want to risk switching basebands, than look out for aspee's baseband fix or a funny sim fix....it's best to go ahead and flash new baseband, it's easy though....as far as your phone not showing IMEI, that's common on some CM7 based roms, even neko95's Moto Razr-UI v7 rom shows no baseband on my phone, not exactly sure why it does that but I am on new baseband (obviously, since mobile data works)
Hello,
I am using a rooted atrix with Rom Racer CWM. Phone details are;
Model : MB860
S/W Version : 4.5.2A- SKT-167
Android Version : 2.3.5
Kernel Version : 2.6.32.9- 00004-gfbc 746e
This is a unlocked phone. I bought it when I was in Korea (SK telecom) and now using on QTel in Qatar.
Now the phone works without any problem on Stock Blur rom. But when i install any custom rom (have tried CM7, unoffiical CM9/CM10, Miui and some other) i have following problems;
1- No network signal
2- Phone keeps restarting. Interval between restart is between 5 min to 30 min.
When I restore the stock rom, both these problem go away.
I am fedup of the stock rom. And ICS update from motorola for atrix is put on hold.
Any suggestions to fix these issues?
Thanks in advance.
Question should be ask in Q&A forum
You may try to flash different radio. Maybe current is not compatible with custom roms.

As most of the roms are based on AT&T Atrix, should I flash AT&T radio? Or try international one. Any working link?

Please, do some research can you flash AT&T radio on your Atrix. I think that you can, but is better to check than sorry. You can download exactly the same radio which I use here (Radio N_01.77.36P).
