If you find way how to flash kernel via flashable.zip...then you don't need PC anymore
Sent from my MT15i using Tapatalk
Boot.img can be flashed from recovery, certainly is done for other phones checkout the Motorola defy forum. Think that can for Neo needs updating first though.

If I'm right...then Neo don't have recovery partitsion...because we can't flash kernel directly.

is there a link with partition info for Neo. Only had the phone three days, need to do more research

1. You can't have flashable zip for kernels with integrated recovery, for obvious reasons.
2. A universal kernel stock+MIUI+CM7 is possible, check SGS II. I don't know how this has been done (atm) through.

if developing kernels was easy for noobs like me, I even try something when my pc is ready. But im happy that kernel can be made

But we can make custom rom without locked bootloader, like my wt19a
Besides, the cwm dont need the unlocked bootloader.
Well i just guessing
Be nice to have Clockwork, I'm looking into making myself at the moment.
It doesn't require an unlocked bootloader though does it?

It works on 2.3.7 Xperia S Rom. I don't now how it works on ICS.
I think it is better for some dev will take a look it before somebody try it. Because our tablet is not so protected from ours mistakes

I think it does not work because it is for qualcomm proc, not for tegra 2. We should find CWM for locked BL for tegra 2 and so we can try it to use on our tablet

Yes it will he is working on it.
i read somewhere that if you want cm 10.1 as your second rom you have to install it as you first, primary rom, and then swap or clone it to second rom (ofc you need to backup first your primary rom).
I wanted to test it but i dont have time... but maybe it will help you.
yea

Install rooted ROM via Odin

After this, if you like, install a custom rom.

Just follow the instructions on the first page of the CM-thread.
There isn't a stable version (yet), so so don't expect a full working rom without any (minor) bugs if you install CM10.2.
Blazing kernel is for i9100G. If you don't have an i9100G steer well clear of blazing kernel.

Then don't go for Cyanogenmod, because it's still under development. Why don't you flash a Samsung based custom rom? Maybe it's wiser to start with, and if you get a little familiar with all this, you can go for roms like CM.
Edit: make sure you flash the right ones, so for the I9100G!

I'm not really familiar with the I9100G and the available roms, but I assume you can see for yourself (if you read the threads) what people like and don't like about a rom. The choice is up to you, because everybody got his/her own preferences
