It is true... One of the members just visited Haus's thread and confirmed they found a bug that looks promising.

I mean, all you said was that root was near
of course people would want a link to the source to back this up
thought that was the common sense way that things worked?
I mean to me its kind of silly to say "hey root has been found", and then the next line "go google for more info"
but then again thats just me
the man simply asked for a link to which talks about said root, and you act like he wanted the link to just www.twitter.com,and who doesnt know how to get to twitter? i mean really

Why is that every thread at xda turns in to crap. I used to come to this site alot but now I am mostly at android central. Are the MODS sleeping here. People need to stop fighting or get banned for fighting all the time.

Ok, to clarify... We've definitely found a hole. We're working to make an exploit that can take advantage of the hole. It'll take us a day or so to sift through the wreckage (as it were). By time the first attack at the hole was done, my device would only boot with /data mounted as ro and the screen wouldn't turn on. So a factory reset later, and we're sifting through the results. But this is definitely promising.

Don't post in dev sections if you need help with something, especially if no-one can understand what your question is or how the can help. Ask in Q&A, you're far more likely to get help there.
If you mean that "3g" does not really work on your device and nothing happens when you try loading a website, i can tell you it IS actually that slow. but JieeHD is right, please post questions in Q&A...
which leads me to one question: how the hell is he able to do his first (!!) post in dev section?! when i joined, there still was some 10-posts-rule...

Yeah its a good rule, keeps the threads cleaner IMO. I know there is possibly users out there that have some useful info to share but its rare. I think we need to ask a mod what's going on, I'll ask pulser when I get the chance.
Sent from my Hero using XDA Premium App
yeah definately does ;D but i can remember when i first rooted and installed elelinux (it was 0.2 back then ) i noticed some issues but was unable to report them.. and it took until 0.5 when someone noticed and ele fixed.. i think in special situations there should be possibilities to send some pm to a mod , would help to find bugs earlier... especially new users do alot play around and maybe find something we would never have tried?
thank you for asking, keep me up to date would be interested, maybe this is another strange xda-premium thing? were you able to instantly post in dev section with your xda pro app?
greets, S.O.D.
Hey, I'm from the Legend forums, just browsing through, when I noticed this thread.
1) DUDE WTF
2) Yeah, in our forum, there was one instance of a guy with 1 post posting in our NewSense thread. I was confuzzled.
3) I think the OP is wonder if the 3G data usage is somehow connected to the H icon that appears when data is being used. Maybe, maybe not.
Either way, NOOB.

Maybe that's why they opened up that Moderator Application announcement I saw a week back.
Hmmm.. I didn't see that, got a link?
Sent from my Hero using XDA Premium App
Although I didn't look hard, I'm not sure where it went. I know it caught my attention the first time because it was a general announcement.
But then after googling the terms in the custom search, there was a moderator opening going on about a year ago today. So maybe that got dug up and screwed over? Anyway, I wasn't interested so I barely looked at the date. Will keep my eyes open though!
FOUND IT RIGHT AFTER I POSTED THIS D:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=263
hehe mod announcement already closed again but this doesnt answer how he could make 1st post in dev sections, when i tried having 7 posts it still said "youve got to have at least 10" and denied posting in here...
as from obvious knowledge and status, he's not a mod or admin either. strange. did you find out anything JieeHD?

Google has recently released and updated version of 3.0.2.7 to 3.1.3 Credits to theunlocr.com for being on top of this. Note: this was made only for rooted users.... but non-rooted users who don't want to wait for this pushed to your device can try this to.
Here is the link to the post

Thanks for the download. I was kind of hoping Google would've allowed rooted users to view movies by now. Maybe next time.
Hmm....
I could of sworn there was a patch for the google movies/videos ban some where in Xda Desire Z forums but couldn't find it...I'll keep looking. ;-)

Well I have followed directions on how to remove the proper CM partitions and then ran an unmodified webOS doctor and the TouchPad now shows almost 14GB. I built a Meta-Doctor but there was no use for it after reading several people had success using the unmodified one.

Hey there
I just bought this game from the market (it was 10 cents after all ) and while it is playable, it seems to stutter at times (when I start up on nitro for instance). Not really game-breaking, but still ...
So, how about you guys? Do you get stutters here and there too? Or do I need to clean my tab of some bloatware (been trying out lots of apps lately)?
Perhaps you have other stuff running behind or syncing? In my case, once I disabled auto sync, the game run flawlessly with my single core phone
Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using xda premium
Smooth as butter here on stock 3.2 ROM.
I'm about 8 races into career and have had no stutter.
sucks it costs $7 here in Aus! or maybe the special pricing has finished

It was yesterdays deal
Seems like the forum double posted on me (clicked post once and it told me to "wait 20 seconds before posting" so I thought something went wrong and posted 20 seconds later).
Please delete someone who can do that
Hmm, I tried to reinstall the ROM with a full wipe and for a few games it worked fine, then started to stutter on nitro again... I wonder what's wrong :S. Any ideas?
I'll try a stock ROM & kernel later.
On Tasks 7.0 and it runs flawlessly...
running tasks 7.0 ROM. And yes, i notice FPS drops when using nitro, then it goes back to butter smooth. Not sure what's causing it. Prolly gonna try reinstalling the game.
Happening the same here, also the graphics looks poor.
Anyone wanna post the apk pls.... I missed that deal

Won't the apk from the deal be tied to our Google account?
Sharing a paid app on XDA is against forum rules.
overcome 2.1.1, also got the FPS dropdown problem when using nitro
I am on task 7.0 and it is smooth as anything, all gameloft hd games run perfect for me. Also it is cheaper to buy then from gameloft website than the market

Naughty naughty. Just buy the damn game from the gameloft site. Join gameloft club and get one game for 0.99 pence (or cents in us) each week.

This is the exact same problem that I have. Would reinstall the whole thing, but I don't want to lose my progress (for now I always just backed the app up with Titanium). Do tell if reinstalling fixed it please!

Sorry about that - I thought about posting it in Q&A at first, but this was more of a general nudge/discussion/fishing for opinions. And then I saw quite some questions in general too, so ...
Not really sure what should go under general and what under Q&A
