Ok so some of you may know about the humble indie bundle, well now we have one that adds support for android!
for those of you who dont know the humble bundle is this cool collection of indie games that are offered at a DRASTICLY reduced price. this bundle contains:
Anomaly: Warzone Earth
Osmos
EDGE
as an added bonus pay more than the average and get World of Goo!
i paid $4.61 for all these games, on mac/windows/linux/android i also got keys for steam to redeem them there . some of teh money goes to the devs, some goes to the guys managing the bundle, and some goes to charity - childs play is a charity about getting sick kids in hospitals video game systems to play and help ease/pass time (imagine the hardship of being a young kid with cancer... sitting in a boring hospital all day long) or the EFF who fights to help stop stuff like SOPA.
the downside to the android versions is taht they give you the apk so no updates for ya. and i know you can just pirate them, but cmon its for charity and you forever own the games on pc

P.S. you should watch the installing games to your android device video.. thats a very cool nexus s
Just bought it. It's a pretty awesome bundle.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you guys know about the Humble Bundle. Every once in a while, this website hosts indie developed games in a pay what you want model. For the next two weeks, their current offerings are games that will work on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android!
Just thought this would be cool to share, pay what you want for Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos, EDGE, and (if you pay more than the average) World of Goo.
yea saw it on the front page and already bought my share of games lol
I don't know if this will prove useful but Humble Bundle is offering 9 games if you pay over the average ($6.19 at the time of posting this) or just 4 games for whatever you want to pay.Games include:
Fieldrunners https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.subatomicstudios&hl=en
bit.trip beat http://www.aksysgames.com/bittripbeat/
spacechem http://www.spacechemthegame.com/about
uplink http://www.introversion.co.uk/uplink/
(pay over the average you get these too)
Spirits http://www.creativeapplications.net/games/spirits-ipad-iphone-games-preview/
World of Goo http://2dboy.com/games.php
Osmos http://www.hemispheregames.com/osmos/
Anamoly http://www.11bitstudios.com/games/7/anomaly-warzone-earth
Edge http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_aB_ZkonGw
The cool thing it it's all DRM free, if there's a PC counterpart of the game (like World of Goo) you get that too, free. If the game is on steam and you want a steam key, guess what you get that too.
I've played most of these, they're a lot of fun and for less than $10 (if you're being generous like I was) they're worth it.

Thanks for the heads up! They also appear to have a Humble Bundle app now!
Posted from a Galaxy Note running CyanogenMod 9
Years ago Humongous released some games that were fun to play and helped kids learn. A company called Nimbus has brought some of those to android. The are great on a tablet but they also are really good on our Note. I know of 3 that they have on the amazon app store. They said they are working on getting them on google play. They are Freddi Fish and the Stolen Conch, PuttPutt Saves the Zoo and Pajama Sam. I am not affiliated in any way with the company. Just passing along some info to those with young kiddos that are looking for some good learning games.
DOPE WARS ULTIMATE
« Dope Wars Ultimate » , officially on windows phone users with old school rules. In Dope Wars Ultimate, you are a drug dealer moving through the six part of NYC, buying and selling drugs to earn money as much as you can. You start with $2,000 and 100 bags to carry . You owe $5,500 to the loan Boys, and he’s charging a high interest rate for that. So, buy low, move to Queens or Brooklyn, sell high. And finally, go to the Bronx to pay the loan Boys back. But it’s not that easy, some bad things can occur during your move, such as muggings,Police Busts, and Cops chasing you. Fortunately, good things can occur too, like Special delivery from Tanja Morocco , Walter White Mode, or the famous weed of California arriving to the Market. Dope Wars Ultimate is an adaptation of original Drug wars created by John E. Dell in 1984.
This Game is made with Unity engine ,but the special thing about it, i made a mathematic event Randomizer, to make the game more hard and fun to play .
You can find it in the link below or click on the image above. don’t forget to review , and tell us what can we add to it in our next update.

Hello,
I've recently created different flappy bird clones and tried to jump on the flappy bird train, but it didn't work out, as there simply is too much competition.
I wonder if creating apps for android is profitable for small developers anyway. Are there any suggestions on which kind of games to focus? Which genres are you targeting on?
What are your experiences with casual games?
Everyone likes high end graphics games.... but so far the only game i havent seen on the play store... its a soccer game...fifa 15 & 16 just sucks... cant play international games ect... maybe a worl cup game with narrators? Since its just around the corner!!.. & maybe charge $5 bucks for it..
Sent from my SM-N920P using XDA-Developers mobile app
The thing is, as a single developer, I can't afford high end graphics. So I'm looking for market gaps.
Never thought of a football game... I might give it a try, thanks.
Simple games sometimes do very well. Look at flappy bird. I would go for a simple game with simple easy to understand input.
Phone games are meant to kill time. Make a game that requires no skill at all.
Side scrolling 2d games....that have a storyline!
There is no silver bullet. You could never know which one will be hyped.
If you have a lot of money to spend on marketing you can sell any game, otherwise it doesn't matter if your game has high- or low-end graphics. If some people start to play with it and start to share it you'll win
Just make games you would like to play with
jglm4u,
Its too hard to develop soccer games on android and need expensive licenses for stars like messi or ronaldo.
