Yeah seriously...you should only hear this when your files are converted to ext4....need details

maybe he is talking about the sound emitted when you plug in your USB even if the phone is muted.
This has been removed in the CM7
community rom 1.3...high energized theme.
its not the voodoo voice, its a new voice i have been hearing a week or so

It was a left over from GrainOsands High Voltage personal theme that many people said they enjoyed. You'll have to ask what the specific files are so you can remove them...probably something in /system/media. Opening the drop down notification will interupt the sound from playing in the meantime.
Have you shutdown your phone yet? The shutdown sound is pretty funny.

yea it is..catches me off guard sometimes

I don't know if straight up deleting the file will cause force closes so try copying 'Charger_Connection.ogg' from /system/media/audio/ui in an unthemed ComRom .zip and pasting it in the same directory on your phone. If it asks you to overwrite the file say yes.
I know that just deleting the shutdown.ogg will get rid of the shutdown sound without causing issues.
Hopefully it works for you.

Just go into audio manager (should come with the theme) and set system volume to zero

I need some help fixing the issue with my phones speaker. It works, but when using Pandora it sounds like crap. I tried messing with the phones equalizer but had no luck. Is there an update or patch I can download to fix it?
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
Might due to software... try to disable all the equalizer. And the sound should be the original one without any noise or etc
Accidentally sent from my Google Nexus S
Yeah I tried that, but to no avail:/

Hey I've been running either cm or aokp variants (ics and jb) and the volume from the speaker is perfect! It's loud enough to use as an alarm and to hear text messages from my pocket...i switched to a few stock based roms to get back to the Samsung roots and the volume is insanely quiet coming from the speaker...my question is, can i use an app or inject dsp manager ask i can either boost volume, or raise all the cats in the eq to get "more"sound out of my speakers?

There are plenty of kernel that have audio settings and a DSP mod somewhere. Search

Thanks. I did search, but came up with nothing. Xda search is terrible, and Google site search came up with nothing as well.

I am having the same low call volume problem too. I need to push the volume beyond 5/5
I am using rr2.7 with dorimanx kernel v7.19
Is there anything that came out and can solve this issue?
You can try this, grab an allpin and clean the tiny holes in hearing speaker volume grill.
This trick worked for me. I have a decent loud volume coming out.

Go into Settings/Device Options/Audio/In-Call Volumes and set it to 60%, if that still isn't loud enough then you need to flash Plasma kernel. I posted my Plasma kernel STweaks audio settings in the Plasma thread.

Hey, I'm running AOKP milestone 2 with the plasma kernel 1.67 flashed but the in-call audio option is disabled/grayed out and I can't change the setting. The rom/kernel are running great giving me 20,000+ in AnTuTu and 7863 in Quadrant. I really don't want to change my setup, what can I do to increase the in-call volume?
Try speaker boost from the play store, it's free.
