I have an Atrix 4G ATT. During RSD it failed and sent me to a screen with
"SVF:105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
no os detected, going to rsd mode in 5 seconds
press a key to stop count down
available modes are:
1:rsd
2:flashboot
..."
What caused this was while following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302423, the rsd said failed, i waited till 100% like guide said, and then got this screen.
What can i do to fix this, from each forum i read, i don't understand, or follow old links. I am a noob.
edit: When i Choose fast boot nothing happens, when i check other forums, they have megaupload links (shut down). am i missing something?
I don't know it'll fix the thing or not But you should try this method. It may work.
Skip any steps you have already done.
A. Download a fruitcake from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009
B. Download a radio from that same thread, below the fruitcakes. Or if you prefer, download a different radio.
C. Put them both on your external (or internal if you really want to) SD card.
D. If you haven't, download RomRacer's recovery. Here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500
E. Reboot into fastboot mode by holding volume down + power button until Fastboot appears on screen, then hit the Up arrow. This takes you into fastboot mode, I'm assuming you already have fastboot installed. If not, google how to set up fastboot or download moto-fastboot.
F. Make sure the recovery you downloaded above is in the same folder you downloaded fastboot or moto-fastboot to.
G. Connect phone to computer, open command prompt, navigate to fastboot or moto-fastboot folder (cd c:/(where you installed fastboot / moto-fastboot)
H. Type these in, after entering each one hit enter: Fastboot erase system fastboot erase userdata fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase webtop fastboot erase preinstall fastboot erase boot fastboot erase recovery
I. Type Fastboot flash recovery (name of your romracer recovery image)
J. Type fastboot reboot and when it reboots, hold down volume + power then keep hitting down when fastboot appears till you see android recovery, then hit the volume up key.
K. Enter recovery, erase Dalvik Cache under Advanced setting, then flash the new ROM you downloaded. * the fruitcake*. Let it completely do its thing.
L. Now if you've gotten this far, you're on a good path and most likely you wont have to flash the radio you downloaded. If not, you may have to. If none of this matters and after completely erasing all that stuff in fastboot mode you STILL get the same error on boot up I would have to assume it's an actual hardware problem and you will have to get a new phone.

Hello,
I've rooted my atrix today using rootzwiki without any problems and there was a boot loader unlock tutorial, my device is 2.3.4 4.5.91 at&t but unfortunately I used .sbf for international users and not for at&t..ending up with "no os" no boot/recovery so tried to flash "1FF-olympus-user-2.3.4-4.5.91-110625-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P011.sbf" (mistake?) with no success, then flash "4547-fix-try2.sbf" for at&t but no success.
Don't know what to do Plz help me
Download fastboot here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/30173981/fastboot.zip
Download a ROM such as
CM7 Based ROM (Neutrino ROM)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398819
CM9 Alpha/Beta
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445052
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500535
OR Blur Based Rom (NottachTrix4G)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1567241
Have the ZIP file ready
Extract contents of the fastboot zip in the c drive root in a folder called "fastboot" without the quotes
Install the Motorola Drivers, included in the fastboot folder I provided
Next, download a recovery, such as romracer's recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500
(Rename img file to recovery.img)
And put the recovery.img file in the fastboot folder
Open a command window (Start > Run > CMD OR Start > type 'Command Prompt'), type "cd\fastboot" without the quotes > Press enter
Next power on phone, in fastboot mode (hold power button and volume down and press volume down to look for fastboot, volume up to select it), plug it in
Go to your command window and type
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img” without the quotes
Once that is done, do
"fastboot reboot" without the quotes
Once the phone is at the Motorola logo, power it off.
Power it back on and go into Android Recovery (hold power button and volume down and press volume down to look for Android Recovery, volume up to select it), plug it in
(recovery navigation is volume up/down is up and down, select is power button)
From here, go to mount and storage and mount USB and dump the rom zip in the root and go back on the phone and factory reset, wipe cache and install zip from SD card. Find the zip file and install it. Once that’s done reboot and your phone should boot up in the ROM of your choice.

You did not unlock your boot loader, download this if you have an at&t atrix
http://diamantephoto.com/pudding.rar
or if its an international atrix
http://diamantephoto.com/IHOP_Bell.rar
download the sbf and flash using rsdlite and retry my steps again
OK OK
Once you enter that line, if you don't get an error make sure the command prompt says "C:\path\to\fastboot\ > __" confirming that you are working in the right directory. Now type 'fastboot oem unlock' (fastboot tells command prompt to work with fastboot.exe and oem unlock is a command within the program). It will reply a warning about breaking warranty, etc., and also a lengthy ID for your phone.
Now type 'fastboot oem unlock ####' where #### is your ID. And finally 'fastboot reboot'. Your phone will obviously restart and you can close out of the command prompt.
When turning on your phone will say! "Unlocked" on the Motorola boot screen, jump up and down in joy!!!

I have 4.5.141 unlocked, rooted and I have GooManager installed, I try to have it flash the TWRP version 2.1.1 recovery for me automatically so I can try to download and flash a custom ROM and it downloads and it flashes the custom recovery and the phone reboots and I get an error that reads "Failed to Boot 2 Starting RSD Mode" and when I pull the battery, the phone reboots and the "Failed to boot 2" message does not show up. Can anyone help me in trying to successfully flash a custom recovery onto my Atrix 4G?

Download TWRP recovery from this thread
Download moto-fastboot-win32.zip from this thread
Unzip them both to the same folder on your computer (eg.: c:\fastboot).
Make sure all files are in the same folder: moto-fastboot, the ADB DLL files and recovery.img
Open a command prompt window pointing to that folder (tip: hold shift on the keyboard, right click on the folder and select "open command window here")
Connect yout atrix to your pc via USB and boot your atrix into fastboot mode (when the phone is off, keep the VOL - button pressed and press the power button. When Fastboot appears, press VOL +)
Now issue type these commands into the command prompt:
moto-fastboot erase recovery
moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
after it's done, type
moto-fastboot reboot
After that you should be able to boot into TWRP recovery. Cheers!

I'm having a problem, I typed in moto-fastboot erase recovery and it says
"erasing 'recovery' ... FAILED <remote: <00180001>>"
and on the phone itself it reads in red text:
"Failed to process command erase:recovery error(0x180001)"
Is there a way to fix this error?
I fixed this, re-flashed the pudding.zip file I found, and I got the recovery to flash.

Hi, Could you please share the steps for the resolution? I have read about pudding, also i tried but can not achive. Thanks
Hello, first post and fisrst tutorial here.
So here I want to show you how you can restore completely died LG p760(or his brothers p765/p768/p769) showing nothing or just LG Logo and so well known "Security Error", or boot loop problems.
The goal is to flash stock recovery, x-loader and u-boot and to unlock the bootloader(u-boot), so it can boot Clockworkmod or TWRP recovery.
First of all you'll need a computer(preferably Win7/8), an died phone , some drivers on the computer and fastboot on the phone. Let's start.
I'm not responsible for any damage to your device made during this guide. You can continue at YOUR OWN RISK.
Please READ IT before taking any actions on your phone!
1. Get fastboot on the phone. How? You can see here and here, or search the internet. There is a driver package, install them following the instructions.
2. After you inserted phone, installed drivers, etc. start the fastboot loader script(I prefer Lelus's one, i'ts more option-rich), and select one option for ICS x-loader and u-boot for your phone. Follow the instructions, it may take 2 or 3 tries before the drivers are correctly installed. Start again if the drivers are not correctly installed.
3. Copy the bin folder that is inside the fastboot files folder in C:, press winkey+R, type cmd and press OK.
Then copy everything from v20c_00 folder inside the C:\bin\ folder, it's in attachments in the end.
Here is the time to say that this files are for p760 only, you can find x-loader, u-boot and stock recovery for you model from internet, or here in the forums. I flashed also the boot.img, but don't think it's necessary for the completion of the process. You can also extract the .img files from stock .KDZ rom with this tool here, thanks to user kuma82. In the archive is the tutorial how to make x-loader.img, it's easy.
Let's continue.
Type in:
Code:
cd C:\bin
Check if the phone is in fastboot mode with this command:
Code:
fastboot devices
It must show something like:
Code:
1234567890 fastboot
If not, check that you are in the correct folder(C:\bin\), go and check drivers(no yellow marks or unknown devices), read the instructions again.
Then after you copied the files from archive, or files that you extracted from your stock rom, type in, or copy and paste into the cmd window:
Code:
fastboot erase x-loader
fastboot erase u-boot
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash x-loader 0-x-loader.img
fastboot flash u-boot 1-u-boot.img
fastboot flash boot 2-boot.img
fastboot flash recovery 3-recovery.img
You must be fast, because after 30-60 seconds(don't know exactly) of inactivity, the phone will exit the service mode it is in and try to boot. Nothing bad happened, just load fastboot again and repeat the above fastboot commands.
After all the commands are completed without any errors, plug out usb, plug out battery, put the battery in, start the phone. The "Security Error" message MUST be gone. If it's not, probably your recovery is wrong, flash recovery again, if not, try with other recovery. This is working on P760, at least on mine. Here the S/W Update mode must also work like a charm, and you can try with some KDZ updaters, but that's not for this tutorial.
4. Now for step 4 we will need the phone in Recovery Mode. With phone turned off and battery inserted, press VOL_UP+HOME+POWER, when LG logo shows, release POWER and hold other two while the LG Recovery Mode show up. The phone must go straight into recovery, not bootlooping or showing "Security Error". If this happens, probably you recovery or u-boot is wrong.
Now put the usb into the phone and install the drivers from usb_drv_windows folder that is in the fastboot archive.
5. Type into cmd window:
Code:
adb devices
It must show something like:
Code:
1234567890 recovery
If not, you know..
Then we will unlock the bootloader with this command:
Code:
adb oem-unlock
The phone will restart, don't touch nothing. You'll see screen with info on what to do. Guess what..? We must press the VOL_UP button to confirm that we want to UNLOCK the bootloader, so it can load unsigned recoveries like CWM or TWRP and not to show the annoying "Security Error".
6. The phone will go into fastboot mode itself, you must install the drivers, again from the folder in the archive.
Now we'll flash CWM recovery with the help of fastboot. Copy the recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.9-p760 or recovery that is for your model to C:\bin\ folder.
Write:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.9-p760.img
fastboot reboot
The phone will reboot, and hopefully you will not see "Security Error" error message. Now try to boot into recovery - pull the battery out, the usb cable, put battery in, and hold down VOL_UP+HOME+POWER, you know..
7. If everything is successfull you phone will load the recovery and you will be able to load nandroid backup or stock update.zip or CyanogenMod on your phone. Don't forget to wipe cache/data and dalvik's cache. From here you can backup your data or do whatever you want.
If your phone is not totally bricked, and if you are lucky enough you can continue from step 4(if you have recovery in your phone and it's still loading).

I was messing with my old tracfone and trying to install a custom ROM on it. I pressed wipe on TWRP and selected advance wipe and selected everything for factory defaults. After this, I restarted and my phone is stuck on the LG logo and won't go past it. I can't even get back into TWRP by spamming the volume up button. I also have a backup image, but what's the point if I can't access TWRP? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Wipe doesn't restore factory defaults, it removes everything. If you wiped system partition there's no Android on your phone, thus no system to boot. If that's the case, you can try to reflash twrp or install original firmware

If so, you need a PC, if it's Windows then download this tool - it's a system-wide fastboot that lets you flash software on your phone. It should also download drivers.
If everything goes OK, boot your phone into bootloader (you need to find the right key combination to do that, could be (phone off) power button+ volume down held for about 5-10 seconds, but I don't really know how it's like with this particular phone).
Go to the folder where you've got your TWRP, hold shift and press right mouse button. From context menu choose "open command window here"
In command window enter:
Code:
fastboot devices
if it returns your phones serial number it's OK, if it doesn't - you probably don't have proper drivers so look for them
If everything is OK enter:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery your-twrp-image-name.img
If this step is OK you can reboot:
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
In the bootloader there should be an option to enter recovery mode which is now TWRP. From there you can flash some ROM.
Alternatively you can get ffactory firmware and flash it with fastboot (that's actually a better option to start with).
I hope that helps

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately, I think that the phone is junk. My phone can't get into boot-loader for whatever reason, and I heard some people post that the phone was designed to make the boot-loader non-accessible. I already tried to flash it with ADB while it starts up, but no device is detected (no USB debugging I guess). So unless I can flash the phone while It's on the LG logo, I can't do nothing.
Hi guys,
So I rooted my swift 2x but now I want to unroot it so I can use baking apps. Trouble is I'm having difficulty unrooting.
My method for root was
> Unlock bootloader
> Install TWRP
> Install Supersu
But now I can't unroot. I've tried unrooting via the supersu app but on one try it errored out and nothing changed and on another try when the phone rebooted it got stuck on the white wileyfox screen.
I've also tried to install the reocer image from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/swift-2/how-to/marmite-android-7-1-1-tos118c-fastboot-t3605101 via twrp but then once I reboot after installation from TWRP it gets stuck on the white wileyfox screen after seeing messages that the device is corrupt on a previous screen.
What can I do to unroot?
Thanks!
Return to stock via fastboot... it will fix everything. I had to leave LineageOS because nothing I tried would allow me to use my Banking app now they've really tightened security, thanks to Google's CTS. Shame.
(LOL on the "baking app")
EDIT: This Thread has all the files except the latest. Flash TOS319I and let the phone OTA to TOS373J.
Since you have already done this I thought maybe you might be able to help me with an issue I am having
From your thread I have used the first part of the following thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72827221&postcount=7 - to fastboot "Android_7.1.2_Wileyfox_Swift2_2017_09_07 TOS249H - Signed Fastboot" -
Everything went as it should have (or so it appeared) but when I went to reboot, the new Wiley Fox logo appeared and then looped system errors i.e. "Unfortunately, system UI has stopped" , Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped etc
Can you give any insight as to my next move please? Would appreciate a noob response

Sounds like a problem easily fixed by doing a factory reset, have you tried that?
Just went today to try and factory reset through adb but now there is an "error:no devices found" - exactly the same conditions as yesterday

Hmm, is USB debugging on?
USB debugging is needed for adb commands. This setting you find in developer settings and to find and access developer settings you need to tap the version/build number 7 times.
How to Enable USB Debugging Mode on Android <- Check the bottom one #4
Once you do an adb command your phone may prompt you with a connection to pc message to confirm, go ahead and confirm it and do the adb command again.
But.. you need only to get into recovery mode and from there you select and confirm "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition". You don't have to do an adb command.
https://www.hardreset.info/devices/wileyfox/wileyfox-swift-2-plus/recovery-mode/ <- I am actually not 100% sure if 5 and 6 are accurate but anyhow this should give you good enough idea on how to access the recovery mode. If in case you not already know this.
All your data will be wiped, make sure to do backup of things you don't want to lose.
May aswell also refer you to my post here, it's just an easy way of doing a fastboot flash.

oh I see, and you've tried factory reset and cache wipe from recovery?
That guide I linked to says volume up + power button but I belive it actually is volume down + power button that needs to be pressed, like this. Try both ways, you don't need connection to pc for booting into recovery mode.
But this is different if you have bootloader unlocked, with bootloader unlocked you will be greeted with this (making use of warj04's pic) when you power on your device.
At this screen you press the volume buttons to change boot option from "Start" to "Recovery". Press power button to confirm boot into recovery and your device will reboot and boot into recovery.
This screen will appear a second time before booting into recovery but you need not do anything else, wait 5 seconds or press power button to start boot.

I have the bootloader unlocked and it behaves how you have described it but when I try and go into recovery from the options menu (power + volume down) it momentarily goes to a Wiley fox screen, then the loader (the image you added above), and then for a split second the green robot, then the screen blacks-out altogether. From the options menu I can also go to fastboot which also gives me the option to go into recovery but the same sequence starts as described before - recovery appears to be unavailable?

Yea by now I recommend you to redo the flash through fastboot again, In the thread post you linked to I only see 3 lines of fastboot flash cammands.
To fully fastboot flash a rom there needs to be a few other lines aswell, I'll list all the lines here.
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot flash devcfg devcfg.mbn
fastboot flash aboot emmc_appsboot.mbn
fastboot flash keymaster keymaster.mbn
fastboot flash rpm rpm.mbn
fastboot flash sbl1 sbl1.mbn
fastboot flash splash splash.img
fastboot flash tz tz.mbn
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash system system.img
Lastly, "fastboot reboot" to reboot your device.

Yes that screen will go away if you re-lock bootloader and if there isn't a dm-verity issue present.
To fix dm-verity issue you need USB debugging on and this command:
Code:
adb reboot "dm-verity enforcing"
If there is no dm-verity issue, great. No need for this command then.
The unlock and lock bootloader commands you do in fastboot.
The unlock commands are:
Code:
