Hopefully this is an easy/dumb question. HTC EVO View 4G unrooted with HC. Pressed on the notification bar and somehow lost the clock, WiFi and other notification icons. The perm back, home buttons are still there. How do I get the others back?!

there should be a new update to fix it, after the update just go to personalize, lockscreen, then settings
Hullo, I.T., have you tried turning it off and on again? Lol Sorry, I just love that show, but really it might work in your case. It worked in mine... ;-)

Reset resolved the problem for me as well. Kept looking for the update and realized I already had it. Just hadn't reset since then.
I am currently using Senseless as my ROM, and love it. However, one of the mods on this ROM is the removal of the recent Apps on the pulldown notification bar. I got used to having the recent Apps available on the notification bar, and I don't know how many times I have caught myself going to the notification bar to access an app, only to remember that it is gone...Any way to get this back?

You could follow the steps in this thread, and just change it back.

The recent apps has been added back to the senseless ROM. Check the thread on how to download the update.

Yep, thats what it is.

If you notice any changes to your phone that were not listed in the update notes feel free to post them here. if they are specific to Sense 4+or Jelly Bean please note that next to it.

Nice. thanks
Radio is now 1.12.11.1119 and 4G is working inside my office building...no more having to go outside it seems.....
Updates to the Gallery. Now when you open it up you can pick the source
Update to the music app. Same with gallery...you can pick the source.
Update to how it handles 4G and WiFi..basically promising to turn them off when it knows it won't need them as opposed to always scanning.
Update to message app. There are more settings for personalization such as changing bubble colors and background
Low res contact fix which is common for all 4.1 I think
Color scheme change from green to blue to match JB
Pin enabled lock screen change
You can open up the maps to see where your pictures were taken
Stock browser has new look and is JB updated
Power saver
Keyboard has been changed up as well. Now can turn off arrows. Can't turn off prediction (well idk how to)
And more stuff...so far what I pointed out is just what I found to be important to me. I just now got to install this >.< I unrooted and updated.
Edit:
The HTC music app widget in the notification area now has the option to go back as well as pause and go forward
Wallpapers no longer scroll (figuring out of this is on purpose or if there's something i need to mess with)

I was hoping that the ringtone and notification volumes would be separate, but they are not.
Oh well, same old work arounds...
the sound in poweramp mutes temporarily whenver I hit the power button.
Soundhound app button
The soundhound app that was built in now has an icon in the apps tray. Never did before and I had to search for it. I know there was a workaround, I just never got around to doing it.

That's a bummer, I had my fingers crossed that would be different in JB. Curious - what workarounds are you using?

A feature I noticed when about to go to bed...in the clock app, when setting an alarm, the minutes dial now snaps to 10 minute increments. Pretty convenient compared to the previous endless spinning behavior!
is this the new gingerbread update?
Been goofing around with some stuff today, and realize that the home screen soft keys and a soft keys are used for pretty much everything else are different. The phone uses the system UI to generate the soft keys on the home screen and app drawer. Then it uses the theme soft keys to generate what it looks like for everything else. This is interesting because you could have a completely different looking home screen setup then what actually is used when navigating through the phone. Going to toy with this more

Wow. Nice find.
A nice mod in the making I guess
Yea like no need for a home button when at the launched. I'd rather have recently. Cool though.

Are you assuming this because they look different when on the home screen and app drawer? Because if you go to settings-display-front touch buttons- and disabled transparent background you'll notice that's why they are different

I've used to sets if images. One for the systemui and one for a theme. They changed. The ui has to have an xml to direct it. More digging is needed but in theory on your home screen you could have like back recents and menu and in everything else it could be normal.
Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
True. I did notice that when you reboot the g2 and turn it on the soft key background uses the background image from the systemui for a quick second as well
