CM7 BSR Issue - Motorola Droid X2

I just installed CM7 this morning, and I am blown away by it. I downloaded the one that was on the CM7 page, the patched one. I try to boot into BSR, and my phone shuts down, then I have to power up again . I can't get into BSR at all. Is this known issue? Also, does the build prop script and V6 work on CM7?

Phone is connected to charger when you try to enter BSR, correct?

You need install apk, install recovery and plug in (not usb) and set recovery mode. Once recovery mode is set leave it. You can thereafter plug in and PWR OFF (do not reboot).
Never set charge mode as you will leave yourself unprotected .

Well, seems to me it's kind of a double edged sword. If your battery happens to go dead when it's in recovery mode, you can't charge your battery. Yeah, I know it's something that can be avoided by not letting it go dead but how does that old saying go? Something like stuff happens. People should be aware of that.

I have the orig 1.5 A battery and 3 of the 1.9 A atrix ebay cheapies w/ a holder /charger that came w/ em. Don't enter bsr w/o a charged battery

removed the battery when screen said RSD lite.

I installed a script onto the atrix rom that I was running and apparently the 2 did not play well together. After I installed the script with script manager and rebooted the phone would not get past the motorola boot screen. I proceeded to download the GB SBF and try to sbf back to original. during the course of this the sbf failed and i had to download a different copy. the phone was still in RSD Lite mode and I didnt know how to get out of it so I figured i'd just remove the battery. I know, not the best thing to do, but I did it.
now the phone will not even turn on when the power button is pushed. I have it plugged to a wall charger right now to see if the battery is dead. but it just sits at the motorola screen so I have to wait to see if the battery will charge and let me get back to rsd lite.
Any Idea what pulling the battery when the screen said RSD Lite caused to go wrong?
My phone did that when the battery completely died. Let it sit for a bit then pull the battery. Plug it into the wall without the battery and see what happens. Hopefully you boot into recovery.

it wont get into recovery. like it said it wouldnt get past the motorola boot screen. I did get into RSD lite mode again. I plugged the phone into the charger with the battery in so it would charge. before the screen automatically comes on i held down the volume key and the power button and it went into fastboot.
it also says that the battery is low, so that may be my whole problem.

I had a similar issue and the battery will not charge when in that state. I took a $30 hit and bought a battery at VZW store... Went home, put in new battery, SBF'ed and was good to go.... If my dog hadnt chewed up the box while I wasnt looking, I would have taken the battery back.... But at least now I have a spare battery and anytime I am going to flash or try anything a little squirrelly I just charge one battery all the way, take it out and make sure I have atleast 50% on the one in the phone.... It gives me a kinda warm, fuzzy, sense of security....
They DO sell external battery chargers for this battery type. You can get one of those at walmart or grab a new battery like dag

Can't get past the motorola screen

I'm having an issue with my phone when the battery dies completely. I'm running Eclipse V0.6. When my battery gets down to 5% if shuts itself off like the battery is completely dead. When I plug it in and try to power it back on it gets to the Motorola screen and just sits there and wont go further. This happens no matter if its plugged into my laptop, jeep, ac charger, whatever. The only way to get past this point is to take my battery to Verizon and have them put the battery in a demo phone to charge it. When the battery has juice it powers up with no issues.
Can someone, running eclipse v0.6, try to let their phone die then see if it will power up when its plugged in? I want to see if its just my phone or what.
Edit: this is the second time this has happened. So I dont think its a fluke.
Do you have recovery mode still one? Go into fangs bootstrap and switch it back to charge mode.
The problem os that the phone will not charge during recovery(or so I have seen), because it hijacks the charge mode.
Hopefully this works for you.

problem is I can't get into the OS at all. cant get past the moto screen so theres no way to change the boot strap. only thing I can think is to get a secondary battery.
Try remove sd card, worked for me when that happened.

fixed it. removed the battery, plugged in the phone to the ac charger, before it started to boot I held vol down and power and got it into fast boot. from there booted into stock recovery and put the battery back in. then I simply rebooted from stock recovery and it worked.

Charging and BSR

Last night I turned my phone off and put it on the charger and when I woke up today, it was in BSR! I've heard of phones randomly doing this and I was wondering if there is a way to stop this.
Sent from my MB870 using xda premium
Normal. Learn to charge while not off. If you set bsr to charge mode you may get caught w/o bsr and have to sbf. Just life with a locked bootloader sucks.
I believe it does charge properly in cwr I just don't do it.
Well, that's the way it's supposed to work. You can change it by opening the system recovery app and pressing on charge mode. If the phone is plugged in when you do this, it will reboot into charge mode. If it's not plugged in it will just reboot. However, once you've done this the phone will always go into charge mode when you plug it in while the phone is off.
The only downside is that if sometime you should happen to end up in a boot loop (for whatever reason) you won't have anyway to get into BSR.
To get it to go into BSR again when you plug it in, open the app again and press the recovery button. Once again, it'll stay that way until you change it again.

[Q] Complete Bizarre problem, Cannot figure this out!

So I am now on hboot 1.40 s-off cdma Evo 3d... 2 weeks old, never dropped.
I have cwm touch recovery on my phone. Haven't had a problem with my phone since downgrading the hboot to 1.40.
Was running d3rp's rom and it was pretty amazing... decided to do the usual wipe(s) and flash Newt's RC2 of the Htc One S rom....
My battery wasn't charging and my 3D was bleeding battery life like a vag having it's time of the month, so I decided to wipe everything and flash a different rom. I booted into cwm, like usual, did the wipes and went to flash d3rps rom, kept saying error 1 and now damn thing won't power on and since everything was wiped It is ROM-less.
It's so weird, I can plug it & get a red light for about 2 seconds then it disappears. Never comes back on...nothing gets it to come on.
I have tried adb reboot bootloader, and the whole take the battery out, hold power for 10 seconds put the battery back in mess, but my computer and no computer recognizes the phone, so adb is out of the question.
-- I cannot boot into anything, it won't power on-- EXCEPT I CAN get the HTC screen (the bright one that blinds the sh*t of out of you!) but that's it. And it takes all kinds of work just to get to that screen.
Any suggestions? I'll try em all because there is no way the battery on this is dead if so I'd not get the HTC screen.
You cannot ruu it back to stock either because it has to be in fastboot mode in order to do that, I can't get into recovery so that's a fail as well.
Is there any way to use Odin or Heimdall to fix this; or anything else????
Odin and heimdall are for Samsung. You can try taking the battery out and holding power htton without the battery for a couple minutes. Then replace battery. Hold power both volumes and the camera button.

Your problem comes from cwm touch, it does not support off mode charging.
Are the adb drivers installed correctly? Have you ever had adb working before?
If you can, try holding volume down and power while plugged in, choose fastboot USB.
Let it charge, boot into Rom, download 4ext touch recovery which does not have any bugs, phone will charge while off.
Google + pertinent info = results
Yep all my drivers are installed correctly, it won't do anything whatsoever except give me the htc boot screen and that's it. Nothing more and to get it to do that requires all sort's of maneuvers such as the battery being pulled holding down the button, ya know the usual stuff.
I am certainly not new to this whatsoever and I am very familiar with adb nothing seems to recognize my phone and I never had a problem of charging my phone in any time since i've had cwm touch on my phone.
Any other suggestions.......Annnnything at all I'll give it a shot.
Can you get into the bootloader by doing the following?
- Pull out the battery
- Put the battery back in
- Hold the volume down button
- Hold down the power button while still continuing to hold down the volume down button
From there you should go str8 to the bootloader screen rather than the splash screen.
If you get to the bootloader screen, are you able to get into the recovery from the bootloader menu?
If not, if you have access to another battery (like from a buddy's phone or somethin'), I would prolly see if that makes any difference in terms of being able to charge for more than 2 seconds, etc. Perhaps maybe even try a different charging cable as well. That way you can completely rule out faulty battery and/or charging cable.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA
Well can you charge your battery in a different phone ?? Or via external charger?? Or if what I'm reading is true about cwm then I'd say pick up a spare battery or figure a way to charge your battery without it being in the phone. I mean it seems like your battery is just dead but your phone is ok. The few times you get a little power is from just letting the battey sit but its not enough to boot into anything. I'm just taking a shot here but that's what it seems like.

Installed motomizer and played with "Change LCD density" now phone wont boot
So tired motomizer to see if i can OC my phone, didnt work. Before i was going to uninstall it i was looking around to see if there was any redeeming features of the app.
Seen "Change LCD Density" and thought, "Wtf how can it change something that cant be changed." Phone was set at 240 and the app went down to like 176DPI. So i selected that and the phone went to reboot. Problem is now it wont actually boot all the way to the desktop. Just sits at the red eye with lightning.
Please tell me how i can fix this. Phone is rooted. Droid Razr Maxx, 4.0.4

cant get into recovery. Should i use fast boot?
OK i got alittle further and i can get into the recovery menu now. But the phone doesnt have enough battery to run a restore.
Plug the phone in to my OEM charger and all i get is my Dual Core screen and wont charge (left on charger all night) and when i plug it into my computer i just get a white light.
Any ideas on what to do now?
Connect your Wall Charger and Boot into AP Fast boot. If it jumps to Battery OK, then let it there for 2 or 3 hours.

Im going to try this approach to charge the battery.
