i used a2sd GUi but it is showing me error :
Could not start for one of these reasons :
1. Your device is not rooted
2. A2sd scripts could not be found
3. No EXT partition found
and i use s2e for moving apps but i didnt found any swap option in that app

I got "mount script error"
Link2sd only work on Android 2.1 and 2.2, does not work for 2.3 gingerbread.
you will getting mount error.
I tried Ext2 and Ext3 both not working.
Maybe it need Ext4 partition of sd card. but I do not have tools to create ext4 to try it.
link2sd works on CODEROM with disabled a2sd. EXT2.
how to disable dt a2sd on coderom?

Hey guys! Gonna try using S2E from the market to move my apps to ext partition. But before that,do I have to flash Darktremor apps2sd and partition my sd card? The last time I partitioned it,I used a 1GB partition.

Thanks! But by 'wipe' do you mean data on phone or even the sd card contents? I was hoping I don't have to wipe sd card's content

Sigh. Partitioning and formatting the SD card wipes everything on the card. No need to wipe it separately.

a2sd and swap on ICS

Can anyone help me about find the solution for enabling ext4 and swap partition in ICS roms.
on GB i flash script by darktermor and then my swap partition and ext4 partition works perfectly and after installing apps, they move automatically to ext partition.
But in ICS this script doesnt work and when I install link2sd it ask about my partition but it moves my apps to android.secure not ext partition and my swap partition doesnt work.
I tried mesa kernel, kernel panic, but in terminal my swap partition is 0 .
Can you help me please
Thing is, darktremore a2sd doesnt work well with ics/jb. Try mount2sd script, can mount swap partition too.

thank you,I installed from this topic but still it doesnt work
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342387
it will work. i'm using it.
My phone is xperia mini pro
with kernel panic.
Can I use your kernel will it enable this ?
Or it is because of my rom that it cant support this ?
mount2sd need a type of sysinit that invoke init.d script after boot, and my kernel does support it.
just make sure u create partition correctly eg:
1st partition as fat32, primary. this is for usual sdcard files.
2nd partition as ext2/3/4, primary, this is for mount2sd use for moving dalvik, apps, apps data etc.
3rd partition swap.
I use swap and ext partition on GB as well and had no problem.
but now even use mesa but it cant mount my sd card i install both aroma installer and legacy install of mount2sd script but it doesnt work.

I believe CWM defaults to ext4. If you didn't make any other partitions, then your SD card partition structure should be as follows now:
/mnt/sdcard, FAT, primary
/sdext, ext4, primary
Try using link2sd's menu to recreate mount scripts, & choose ext4. Also, make sure you're still rooted properly, and still have expected su access.

I recollect facing the same problem.I guess the problem isn't with link2sd its got to to do with the fact that the stock kernel doesn't support ext partition try flashing a custom kernel that supports ext partition.

Ah, good catch! I didn't notice that.
If you don't want to flash a new ROM, you can format the 2nd partition as FAT, and link2sd has the option to mount that the same way as others.

I don't understand. Do you want to keep stock, or flash a custom ROM? If all you want is to use link2sd, you shouldn't need to flash anything.

Backup your sd card on PC.
Do factory reset
Re partition ur sd card in cwm
Start phone & install link2sd before any other application
Use ext4
If ur kernel doesnt support ext 4
Partition ur card on PC using some partitioning software. use ext2 in this case. And try link2 sd now
Pls let me know if this helps
