How do I go about emaling all contacts within either the default contacts app or Gmail?
As it's a phone/tablet, the browser version of Gmail (Desktop) often crashs and isn't suitable for contacts work - is there a way to do it otherwise?
I'm pretty desperate for help please.
Any any ideas?

Is it possible to get the stock android apps on the atrix? Not a fan of the contacts as I can't seem to get it to only show my actual contacts and not everyone I've ever emailed/received an email from through my gmail account.
neat, you can install gallery3d as an apk and it seems to work fine.
log into your gmail account via web browser. go to your contacts. My Contacts. Select All. Groups. Check "Starred in Android". then apply.
open up contacts on phone. menu. Display Group. Favorites.
Done.
I am running FROYO and want to use my Hotmail account. I have set it up, but cannot get my contacts to sync. Does anyone have ideas?
I have also tried K-9, but that does not sync contacts.
I'm officially bored with cm7 stock contacts and dialer. need some ideas, preferably Facebook contacts integration. tried free/pro version of rocketdial and dw contacts but didn't like adding another Fbook app such as friendscaster just to get Fbook contacts sync to work.
So, I'm a bit confused with the plethora of options built into this phone. In order to set up Google Play, I had to enter a gmail account. That partially populated email on the phone. But there's also a separate GMAIL program. I can't remember which was necessary before contacts and calendar stuff started to appear.
Am I better off sticking with the phone's email program for gmail, or using the Gmail program from within the google apps folder? What are the plusses/minuses?
Also, is it possible to import contact photos from twitter for name matches or by linking profile to contact name?
Thanks!
GMail app is better for GMail as it allows specific GMail features like the stars, etc
Maybe the e-mail app supports that, but I am only using the E-Mail app for exchange
I would say go for the GMail app!
Use gmail app.
Hi,
I've been using android device for about 3 years now and recently got a Nexus 4. I'm trying to figure out how to make my Google contacts as my primary contacts so that when I add other accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked, etc, I want to sync contacts in my other accounts that are on my Google contacts only. I don't want any other contacts on other accounts to be downloaded. Is this possible?
Thanks.
I don't have it in front of me and tried a couple of different version of OS, but if I'm not mistaking if you go in the settings under your contacts (or maybe in accounts) and you should be able to select with contact/account to show. Personally I only have my google account so I only show those contact but if you have ie. facebook you can also choose to show those contacts as well. Or even only contacts with phone number so in this case I don't get all the contacts in you inbox.
You can also try my favorite app that can be highly customized. Go Contacts...

Thanks. I guess you were right about the option to select which account is shown in the Phone app. I guess my problem was in the Viber contacts. I had the setting to Show All Contacts unchecked because it shows all contacts from LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter which are not on my Google. I noticed that only the Starred in Android are shown if I had this setting. I could set all my Google contacts as Starred in Android but maybe there's another way of doing this.
Sorry for being difficult.
