[Q] White LED light - Motorola Photon 4G

My photon seems to have turned off and wont turn back on, when i plug up it only shows a white LED light, its been doing this for over an hour, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try a battery pull. Try booting into recovery.

I tried but nothing seems to work

Pull Battery, Press and hold power and vol+ button with battery out. Hold for 30 seconds, install battery and wall plug and try to power up.

:/ still no luck, just has the white led light come on

Check the manual for the force reboot thins. I know the Xoom has one but I don't know about the photon. Worst case you try random button combinations!

Try a different charged battery.

This actually just started happening to me an hour ago. I plug in my phone every morning to charge it like normally...nothing, no charge, just a white led. I battery pull, still nothing. I unplug the charger, switch to a different wall socket, secure all the connections, it started charging. So I'm guessing a white led while the phone is off means bad connection, or bad battery.
Try a different charger or outlet before you go out and buy a new battery.

Same thing happened to me the phone required a battery remove and reinstall to get it to charge..it only worked once then i took it back to bb and they exchanged my phone since it was defective ..

Try wiping battery status.

Try powering with the Wall Charger instead of the USB in a computer

This must be contagious plugged wall charger into phone woke up to white led and dead battery. Car charger and computer usb works. Tried car charge with ac to cigarette plug didn't work. Now the same car charger doesn't work in car. Tried a powered usb hub didn't work. Who knows!?!?
Update:
Got a stand alone battery charger never had this kind of battery life. Phone charging circuit must have been half bad from day one.

[Q] SGS2 doesn't start up

Hi All,
My battery went empty yesterday and phone turned off.
After connecting charger, the phone won't turn on.
Seems that it won't turn on with charger plugged in.
When charger is plugged in, I get a battery symbol telling me the battery is 100% charged.
When I disconnect the charger and I try to turn it on, it doesn't do anything.
I can go into download mode with the USB cable plugged in, but Odin doesn't connect.
Any ideas?
Maybe dead battery, try with another one

Try USB Jig, if U got one and do batt wipe in recovery... Jig saved my phones ass many times when acting verry weird.. Trying another batt in ur carrier shop would be good idea as well...
Good luck

Pull the battery out, plug in the charger, try to boot, when booted plug battery and let the charger plugged in.

Is my battery fried?

So I've been running CM9 nightlies on my phone for a for a while now and everything has been working great. I believe the last nightly I flashed was 5/12 or around there and I've had no problems with it so far until last night my battery was about to die. So I plugged it in to my computer to charge overnight. This morning when I woke up I noticed the phone was dead and was pretty warm to the touch. Now it won't turn on.
I have tried pulling out the battery and letting them both sit for about 30min but it still won't turn on. When I put the battery in and try turning it on the charging icon pops up for a second or 2 then goes away and sometimes it will flash on and off. I think it could be the battery because if I take the battery out and try going in to download mode it will turn on to the initial warning screen warning about flashing and what not. If i put the battery in at this point it immediately shuts off. I just don't know how it could go from working fine to not working at all overnight.
Anyone have any suggestions? The phone is only about 4 months old.
Use your wall charger to charge it.

Sorry I should have added that to the original post, plugging directly into the wall is what I have been trying today and still no luck.
He means why in the world would u plug your phone into your computer to charge especially if it was almost dead. Next time i would just use the standard wall charger from the get go if you're looking to fully charge it.

Every phone that I have ever owned with a USB port I have charged through the USB port from a computer, and I have never once had an issue. When I plugged it in the battery symbol changed to charging so I didn't think anything of it. When I woke up it was dead.

^ This.. I mean yes you can use USB to charge, but USB isn't as reliable for everyday use...
I pulled the battery and then let it sit for about 30 min and then charged from the wall charger for about 30 minutes and it still will not even turn on.
Order a new battery off Amazon or something.
Will it power on with the battery in and the wall charger connected?

I'm thinking that's what I'm going to do. Might take it to Best Buy and see if they can check it since the phone is only 4 months old. Not holding my breath on that though.
Phone will not turn on with the battery in while plugged in to the wall charger. I can see the battery symbol with the little circle when I first plug it in but it goes away after a second or so. The only way I can get the phone to turn on is if I remove the battery, hold the volume buttons and plug the USB cable in while connected to a PC. This brings up the download mode warning screen asking to continue. If i put the battery in at this screen it shuts off. If I hit continue with the battery out if shuts off. I guess the only thing to do is try another battery.
Does it taste like chicken? If so, then its probably fried.

Replace the battery.
welp apparently it fixed itself. I just left the battery in it and let it sit powered off for the rest of the work day and when I was leaving work ready to head to Best Buy just out of curiousity I plugged it into my car charger and it magically turned on. Now the wall charger and USB charging are working as well. No clue what that was all about but works for me. Thanks for the replies guys.
Bah same thing is happening to me with my sgs2. It just keeps showing the battery charging screen then going off. Any ideas?

Your battery should be dead. My dad had exactly the same experience as you did. Try calling att for a new battery if the phone still in warranty.
USB charging is just unreliable: different motherboards may even supply slightly different voltages. Although it doesn't make a difference in normal use, adding a near empty battery to the equation complicates things.

[Q] Atrix Will Mot Boot

I have an Atrix that I bought from someone.
Here's what it does: if I press the power button, the green light comes on in the corner for 2 seconds and then goes back off. Nothing on screen.
If I plug it in via usb, the green light will come on for 15 minutes like it is charging and then go off. No screen action.
If I plug it into a wall charger, it says "Failed to boot x1000" Entering recovery, battery too low to flash.
Now I tried this with 3 different batteries, same result. Anyone have any clues?
seems a hard brick ... like here but if the battery plugs from the cell doesn'st seems to be working u gonna to try with warranty or think about buy a new phone... hope u can solve ur problem
Leave for 24hrs on charge if still not work then its borked

Try a different charger/cable
Are you using the original cable? Most HTC phones will do that if the battery is completely dead, you have to let it charge with a charger that is the same or higher amperage than the one it came with. Once the light stops blinking, you should be good to turn it on.
When you say ended up dying, are you meaning it died once, or it died, you turned it back on to try and read a text or get a number till it died again, etc.
I'm asking for a valid reason not just picking on you. But Yeap make sure you're using the OEM stock HTC charger or another charger.
If that doesn't work try the computer. Whatever you do don't keep trying to turn it on until it actually starts charging.

[Q] Rezound Wont Charge! Help!

My HTC Rezound has always been a little iffy on the battery side. No matter what i did, the battery would usually day 3 quarters of the way through the day. I learned to accept this. My problem now is that the phone died after being run down to 0% and when i try to charge it back up, all i get is a blinking orange light and the phone will not start up. I have tried removing the battery. I even left it charging for 3 days and it still wont charge up enough to boot up the phone. Does anyone have any idea what's going on and how I can fix it?
Is it acknowledging the charger is plugged in? Have you tried a different USB cable AND wall socket?

I have tried both a different charger and wall socket but neither worked. I am rooted s-off with Amon Ra recovery installed.

IIRC The Rezound uses and Odd Voltage Battery, which sometimes throws off the calibration. When this happens the phone can drain the battery past the safe level for recharging. The phone is in battery safety mode atm.
Its been a long time since I've had to do this... Happened to me once when I got my phone in Nov '12 lol
Follow these steps EXACTLY Do NOT Deviate
1) Remove the battery Completely
2) Wait 1 hour
3) Place the battery Back in the phone, DO NOT PRESS THE POWER BUTTON
4) Place the battery on the charger. You SHOULD see a blinking red light
5) Leave the phone alone until the Red Light has been solid for at least 20 minutes
6) Power the phone on and let it fully charge
7) Restart into Recovery Mode and wipe battery stats.

I tried your solution but the blinking red light never turns into a solid red light. It just keeps blinking no matter how long I leave it on the charger.

Just curious, what's the voltage say on the back of the battery?
If I remember right the rez initially had a slightly lower voltage battery when it came out.

Hmm I am wondering if the battery is shot. I do know I had a similar issue with mine and ended up buying a separate wall charger just for the battery. I would charge it for 5-10 mins and then pop it back in the phone to finish charging.
