Because much streams going to the silverlight app, where they used to use flash..
Example:
I've been using my tab a lot for watching sports, but now the provider went from flash to silverlight..

hey all iv taken on the task of trying to make a police scanner app,
im doing it in html and having problems making embedded wmp to do anything
inc play a mp3
no sure if its my computer as when i have my pda linked via active sync i can view web pages but any streams from like youtube try to connect but fail
im also working on a dropdown script to bring up an alert box with police codes...
this is been developed for Wvga 480x800 wm6.5 wgt.
i may do cab from wm5.x for those who dont have widget engine later.
any help i most welcome

Here you might need to install both. Can't remember where I found them so credit to whoever created them. Worked for me!

Thanks, I hope it works on a german rom.
I can install the prog an I can install the widgets, but I can`t start them. I start the widget, than comes the message from the cost for the datas and than the widgets doesent starting. Any idea perhaps ?
Here's how I do it. Using SkyFire Browser, Go too www.radioreference.com . Sign up for an account (it's free) You may want to use your PC to sign up for the account just because it's easier, and follow the steps to get to your area and choose from all of the scaner feeds in your area, find the best one and favorite it in your skyfire bookmarks. I live in Pittburgh PA and I have it favorited where I can hear all the police, fire, and ambulances in the entire city, it works great. Just make sure you use skyfire becuase the scanner player uses Flash.

ne1 have Tucson, AZ police codes ONLY??? cuz da site offers a stream which includes ambulances... i want 2 hear the police only :-}

EDIT: Never mind I just noticed it does have Canada listed in the countries but I still can't seem to get it to work. Can anyone who has this working post instructions for the rest of us? Thanks!

Fire Brigade will, as well as some things like Airports & Trains, but Police & Ambulance use encrypted digital radios here now.

you could just display that html5 in an webview, but i don't know if there is something that compiles html5 into valid android/java code (i don't think so).

This app seems like a good document editor for MS office and pdf, the user interface looks decent and there are dropbox, Google drive integration.
I'm curious on trying this app, but my Tablet isn't eligible for the download due to region restrictions.
Could a kind soul grab the app for me on Google Play and post the apk here?

works on my HTC flyer, couldn't DL it from the play store...
Works on my Transformer Prime in Belgium ^^
It's incredibly amazing, though also paaaaaaainfully slow... not the connection, just the interface. I'd mainly need this for Excel (haven't found an Android Office suite that does XY scatter plots!) but the sluggishness would need some getting used to on my otherwise very fluid device.
The interface is pretty annoying to get around in, since it's so cramped. Luckily my dock's touch pad can help with that. What's weird thuough, is that it doesn't recognize some physical keyboard-specific inputs, like arrow keys. You'd think they might have tested for that?

There was an update for Cloudon posted in July, does anyone have this version? Can't get it from the play store on my phone or my tablet (HP Touchpad). I need it for school, my laptop is in for warranty and I don't have a lot of spare time to sit in a lab, I have to work while taking a bus.

Could someone with a tablet upload the latest .apk
I got latest phone version through my old HTC Desire(Bravo) but when I install it on my Padfone 2(Which does not have official support for this app yet) it only enables the phone version of this app.
While the version posted up here enable the tablet mode but because they are to old it won't let me login. Giving me an error that these version of the app are to old and no longer supported.
If anyone is interested the phone .apk I can upload it.

Possibly. But you'd need to hack the framework (a bit like PDroid, so it sees incorrect system informations) or the APK (make it jump over the if-loop)
Both require a lot of knowledge
hacking the APK is a no go, Sky have spent a great deal of time, effort and money to make this app almost entirely unhackable.
Sky don't want you to mirror the screen therefore you won't be able to.

Until the allshare cast dongle is released and then i cant see how they would know it was being mirrored wirelessly?
Today I powered up my g-tab for the first time in a couple years. I want to use it as a standalone web cam to monitor my dogs while I'm away. Questions are:
-I have a 2011 version of Cyanogenmod. Is it worth updating to something new? A quick scan of the new roms look more complicated that they used to be.
-Is there an app that you would recommend for this purpose?

Can you clarify this? Are you saying that you want to use the gTablet's front camera to stream pictures/videos to other devices (elsewhere)?
