Unofficial Port Fascinate
I got motivated and threw some more ports together. It appears they are all working with the exception of MMS. I did include THS Build 6.1 MMS.apk in both so some of you may get lucky. I made these because I am leaving for a week and when I get back I want to know which ones to peruse. Like CM9 they are all very young in their development so there are a lot of similarities. Tell me which ones you guys like most and I will update them periodically.

It is driver related.. Until someone rewrites it or finds a work around every ROM that's not Touchwiz will have it.. Hope this ends these repetitive questions

As instructed I did factory reset & wiped cache & dalvik before flashing this. Now I'm in this endless boot hell. The phone has been sitting on the boot animation for 15 minutes. Did a battery pull, same result.

My super user isn't working right..none of my root apps work and trying to update binary has failed for me..am I the only one? Any suggestions?
Yep...the root apps on mine don't work either. Also when downloading from the Market, I get this error (492). It has been working when I first flashed this ROM, it updated alot of my installed apps. But downloading a new app isn't happening.

I cannot give enough thanks and love to dalingrin (on behalf of cm team) and preludedrew (on behalf of evervolv), and also AOKP. I (nor anyone else on classicnerd, I would hope) claim to be pros. But the three parties I mentioned are pros. I thank these guys for doing everything they've done thus far, and if you want to show anyone love these guys deserve it. We are in this for fun and thus far it has been a learning experience (especially since most of us are sense-devs). Once everything is up and official I will post a list of every piece of code borrowed.
I (on behalf of Classicnerd) hope you guys will enjoy what we offer. I look forward to some vanilla flavored Ice cream sammiches.
We would like to take time to issue credits.
First, donators for bringing together one heck of a team, Preludedrew and Evervolv for continued support and and letting us fork some stuff (thanks a ton), CM for all their dedication to better AOSP (without them, no touchpad would be running Android), Team Kang for being true pros at developement, Romanbb for the awesomeness he continues to bring, jzen, Method2madness, a55, Tomween, Krook, Mindsplit, ewalk, krunk, MYN for all the awesome help you've been since the beginning, virus, capychimp, joelz, sac23, wes324, Ghoster, Thomas, and so many more. I will continue to add as time evolves.
If you weren't mentioned, please PM me so I can make adjustments right away

Mmm another ics rom to put through the paces, I've been flashing them all day, and just when i thought i settled, i have one more! >:-D
Fast and smooth rom I like it. I have one small problem, I see there are some on screen buttons in apps. I think they are in places where they aren't supposed to be. For example in the YouTube app there is the share button and add to playlist button on the bottom. This bar blocks the ability to forward/rewind videos, and switch HQ on/off. And in the gallery app I'm unable to share pictures due to the button placement. I understand this is an alpha and things may not be final but I am curious if on screen buttons were purposely put there or just for experimental purposes. I just feel we don't need them since we have the menu button along with the other 3 hardware buttons. Other than that once again I love this rom, after trying all the ics roms I would have to say this is the best one when it comes to speed and stability.
Ohhh I suppose...
Great job guys is this similar to shooter butta?
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
I am creating a list of things to work on thanks guys for the feedback. This is close to the same as shooter buttah. But some changes added and apks further optimized.
Just fixed Link to our server. Way faster Downloads.

This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). The idea to start a ROM based off AOKP with added features for us was started out of curiosity and boredom. We started compiling ROMs for personal use and later started sharing them. After sharing it with a few people, we decided to take it a step further and fine tune the way we do things. Since then, is been nothing but fun and a true learning experience for all of us involved. We've received high praise from not only users but fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. Our 4.2.2 version made it onto various devices to include the HTC One, Galaxy Nexus, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO LTE, Nexus 4 and some other devices. We hope to do the same with our 4.3 version.
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....

I only ask, because I know it's borked on the 10/15 AOKP build, and the Linaro build, that DaMadOne has, in the original development thread. It will will record for about 10 seconds, and then stop, and not save anything.

I love aokp... especially if it includes IR support.

God this looks so GOOD, wish I wasn't stuck on ME7 UGH, god why, oh why!!!!!
2 things at the moment keeping aokp from being a dd in my opinion. Camcorder autofocus causing the video camera to stop and Bluetoothsstreaming skips and connectivity issues with my cars head unit.
That being said....can't wait to give this a try lol
Glade to see it up, been testing it Love me some DU!
So how about this is my first du experience and I would like to say that the animations when scrolling are absolutely amazing. Never seen nothing like it. It's ruining really nice and packed full with features I haven't seen before. Thanks this is great.
I'm not *****ing just curious on custom hardware remapping and the advance menu to disable vibrations lights and hardware keys. Just wondering if I've missed something throughout settings. Im the type to stealth it out and use navigation soft keys..
But again thanks

Quick questions from the S4 n00b (but I'm sure others may find it helpful (other n00bs)):
1. Do I need to be on a particular kernel to run this properly?
2. VRUAMDK only? VRUAME7 only? VRUDMI1 only?
3. Do I need to be on a particular recovery to run this properly? Or it doesn't matter as long as its custom?
4. Do I need to be S-OFF or S-ON or does it even matter?
5. Running the last CleanRom for the S4 (4.2.2 on VRUAMDK), really liked the multiwindow feature (kept from the stock Samsung load), is there a way (for end-users) to add to this ROM?
Thanks!
Awesome work, I hope I can run this ROM soon

1.It flashes the cm (I think) kernel , so no
2.I think you'd be safe with ME7 & MDK, not the latest
3.you need to be loki'd for mdk and safe strap for me7
4. Wrong phone buddy (if I'm not wrong)
5.Not currently, it has to be built into the ROM,and without touch wiz framework it can't be done.
Hit thanks if I helped

06-19-2014 - Just an update... because... REASONS!
06-13-2014 - Refresh from Vanir code base, new boot animation (its a little glitchy, but I'm working on that.)
06-06-2014 - Updates to 4.4.3 yo! Share and enjoy!
06-02-2014 - Clean up in the Vanir Code base, fresh sync and build. Its June now, I figured we could use a breath of fresh air.
05-26-2014 - Fresh sync with the Vanir code base. Some under the hood changes, update to the theme engine is the biggest thing to note.
05-21-2014 - More under the hood changes. Still sweet as heck!
05-14-2014 - Stability fixes implemented and fresh pull from Vanir code base. I tested this before releasing this time around. I wanted to make sure that the lockscreen, and systemui are stable.
05-10-2014 - More updates to the Vanir code base. We're still good with Vanir!
05-05-2014 - Some updates to the Vanir code base. Spec Ops build REALLY going to come in the evening today.
04-27-2014 - MORE Camera Preview troubleshooting have paid off thanks to fellow member kkozma and Rev3nt3ch! Data switch added in System Settings. Brought up to date with most recent Vanir Code. Spec Ops build coming in the Evening!
04-09-2014 - After days of working the Black Screen Camera issue with fellow member Rev3nT3ch, we've located and fixed the source of the bug! Still more Vanir code cleanup and the addition of the Voice+ feature included in all further builds! WORKING CAMCORDER!!!
04-03-2014 - More major cleanup of the Vanir Base code. Over 1800 lines of unneeded code cleaned up from source. Also reverse ordered the changelog so that the most recent posts are up top.
03-29-2014 - Under the hood cleanups in Vanir Base code. Updated Spec-Ops build posted too!
03-25-2014 - InCallUI fixed after some changes in previous Vanir Base to adress a memory leak issue (both have been fixed). Fresh pull from Vanir and Vigor Repos for latest fixes. Fresh install of Ubuntu (last installation became corrupted and unusable) on build machine!
03-19-2014 - Mo updates yo! Vanir pulled in some more cleaned up CM code into the mix, Camera fix is no longer done via cherry-pick, but merged into main Vanir source (Thanks Neo and Snuzzo!), WE HAVE OFFICIAL STATUS!!!!
03-15-2014 - Fresh sync with the Vanir repos, more under the hood fine tuning. MMS is working and good to go! Spec-Ops update is live as well.
03-12-2014 - Thanks to some more 'brilliant' ideas from the CM team, MMS ~WAS~ broken, I did some research and added a port and a cherry pick to get MMS working again with the built in messaging app. Updated Spec-Ops build coming in the evening.
03-07-2014 - Fresh Sync with Vanir repos to iron out a few things under the hood. Should be extremely good to go!
03-02-2014 - Vanir - Spec Ops edition released. Just a few added apps for more sexiness!
03-01-2014 - Thanks to Neo, we now have a working camera! TOO excited to wait 2 weeks to cook this, so here it is now! You may have into install Focal as the Camera app. But it works!

The MMS work around is no longer needed! Boo-yah!

I am tossing around the idea of going a "Vanir - Airborne Edition."
Would have included LMT Pie launcher, Apollo Music Player, and CM File Explorer.
Please let me know what you would want in a 'delux edition!' please!
I'll help you push that to their base see if I can get you official again.

actived notificition is my best choice lol, big thanks!
Ooh Vanir! Do want!
Beanstalk holds a special place in my heart.
Got it installed and running fine. I have one minor issue. I use the 500firepaper app, for some reason the app can't launch the wallpaper changer nor can I select the app in the wallpaper settings, it shows up as a wallpaper but tells me it's not installed. Anything different with the wallpaper settings on this rom?
Vanir is built from the ground up with performance in mind. I suggest just putting a picture on the SD card or setting one of the included Vanir wallpapers.

Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that also enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating, or any form of "pay to flash".

try this :
- Change Governor to : Smartassv2+row or Ondemand+sio
- Greenify some unused app
- Change mobile network state to 2G if you still need a mobile data network connection but doesn't use a huge usage

Any suggestions, just suggest it.
