dude i suggest you to download rom manager (it's free ) and download your rom put into your sd-csrd.
after downloading rom manager
1.open click flash clockwordmod
2. choose your phone carefully
3. click on install from sd card in rom manager
4. boot into recovery
5.wipe cache and Dalvik and battery ststs in advace(navigate through volume button)
6. select install from sd card
locate cm_p500_fll.XX.zip and press search button and wait
you may see install from sd-card complete.
reboot n enjoy

Actually, the nightly updater thru ROM manager is broken, it's been broken since like 24, same weekend download/Changelog servers went down

you need to do only one thing. read.
and you need not do another thing, create new thread about it.
another thing you might want to do, download properly, wipe all, format system, data, cache, dalvik, etc. and flash ROM normally.

Try to update cmw recovery to the latest one. Just update it threw rom manager and make sure you pick the right phone and carrier in the list.
I tried doing so,bur i only get like 7 phones from that list

You'll need to flash CM9 first, then the options will show up. Its looking for a specific name in your build.prop, and CM9 or AOKP should get it to show up.
Tried doing cm9 does not work also

after you flash CWM recovery.
did you wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache?
wiping those before flashing new rom usually solve the problem.
i usually wipe data/factory reset too but doesn't require
i suggest you back up your un-corrupted efs folder contain your IMEI first before you flash anything.
dont be like me. =)

Probably a corrupted sdcard, save important files to the pc and format the card from the phone. Place the files back, see if you are rooted and if not reroot with CF-Root and try again. Do not superwipe this time.Just do data/factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache and format system and data in mounts and storage.
Hello, sorry for reviving this old thread, but it seems that this would be a logical place to ask if it's recommended to do a super wipe before every non stock ROM flash.

Stuck on splash and recovery has less options, plz help!

so my friend has a rooted razr on gb 2.3.(6?) and he installed bootstrap (?) recovery to try and flash a gb rom, arctic rom i believe it was. he went to recovery, choce wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and flash zip from sd card and he flashed the rom, but now hes telling me that the rom stayed stuck on the splash screen, so he went back to recovery and he now has only 4 options: reboot, update from sd card, wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache.... hes pretty lost and tbh ive never messed with a motorola in my life, im htc 4 life xD but anyways id appreciate it if anyone could chime in and help out. thanks in advanced!

Its my phone Btw and yeah it is gb 2.3.5, btw ive tried some steps i found around in some forums, and none worked so please help me with this issue! Thanks!
Basic recovery comes with those 4 options only so nothing is lost...only CWM has more options
Now...don't ever do a factory reset and wiping cache before installing new rom...when you install a new rom it itself formats them
Again...CUT your rom from sd card to computer and again copy it to your sd card....SAFELY REMOVE and again choose apply update from sd card
If this too didn't work...download a new rom and follow what I've said
Using XDA premium through A5
Press thanks if i helped you

What doidn´t work exactly?
Entering recovery or doing a factory reset?
If you are able to enter recovery mode, try as "KeTuRr74" described. After that flash your rom again and try to boot without flashing a new kernel.
Original means for you? Samsung and provider stock rom?

Install any ROM after full wipe: system, data, cache, dalvik cache and, if existing, the Android-maps in internal&external storage. There will be no essential rests of the previous ROM!
