how do I do that my phone won't even stay powered on once I get the message failed to boot it shuts off.

The same thing happened to me. The problem is, is that the phone cannot charge while in bootloader mode. To me, it sounds like it has enough power to just display that screen, then it powers down.
What I did is cut the micro USB end off of one of my charge cables, then I attached the positive and negative wire ends, to the positive and negative terminals on the battery. This allowed the phone to stay powered on.
After that I flashed back to stock. Everything went smooth after that.
Hope this helps.

I contacted motorola and my phone still in warranty so I am sending it in what will moto do?

yes unlocked I know I read the warning about unlocking but it may be worth it just to see. I like my iphone better.

KangPolice said:
Well I assume that moto will charge you with repairs , and may return it to you with it upgraded to a state you cant unlock (speculation on that part). My suggestion is my post above Either borrow someone elses battery (from atrix or droidx) or make the dev cable to boot and recover from you could also buy a break out board to make it easier if need be

im confused why dose chaining battens make a difference in booting? Also if I cut the cable won't it not work anymore?

can you do a video saying how you did it or with images...

Doesn't unclocking your bootloader/rooting it void your warranty ?

fix for hard brick?

hey everyone,
just hard-bricked my phone
stupid me totally forgot that my battery was low while flashing with rsd.. phone turned off..
when plugged in to wall charger without battery, i get:
"failed to boot 0x1000
Entering NVFLASH RECOVERY MODE
Battery too low to flash"
When turned on while NOT plugged in.. the phone says the failed to boot 0x1000
entering nvflash recovery mode, but shuts off immediately after stating that it is entering nvflash recovery
SO, since it seems like it WANTS to load into nvflash.. but cant because it seems like the battery is dying.. if i can find a way to charge the battery.. is it possible to fix the phone?
I think you need a dev cable

totally forgot about that post.
looks like im taking a trip to walmart (only place open at 2am EST) for a soldering iron.
this is an amazingly detailed guide

i'll post up how this monstrosity turns out
I hard bricked my phone jacking around today and thought I was screwed. Turns out the local reps at my particular AT&T store are complete idiots and exchanged my hard bricked phone for a brand new phone for nothing. Took 10 minutes and I was out of there. All I had to say literally was "my phone wont turn on". Try it.

already did it!
unfortunately, the store i went to.. the manager wasnt a TOTAL idiot, and actually plugged it in and saw the whole failed to boot screen.
he said he unlocks his phones and does all kind of crazy stuff to them, so he can sympathize for me. we got to talking about all this stuff and in the end, he gave me a brand new atrix for $100 with screen protectors and a little case haha
Were you guys in your 30 day window? Or att was just cool about it.

No fix. Although maybe if you try a bunch of different combinations of button pressings as you turn on the phone (holding volume down, power, holding volume up, power, holding both, power....etc) who knows... if you can magically get into fastboot then you may have a shot...
Try to charge your battery on another ATRIX! And try to flash again if RSD mode is enabled!
Hey there
Didnt get this scary hard boot prob, but wanted to know something-
If i have a spare battery with me, fully charged and all, will the atrix go into RSD flash mode successfully? or into fastboot?
coz that can be a solution for you guys, just by some table charger or a spare battery and it will do the trick...
hahaha,.. i did it two times when i was using my htc touch diamond,.. )

Failure on unlock bootloader via RSDLite

Seems there have no way to turn my phone on, after unlock bootloader failure via RSDList.
i've tried taken the battery out, put it back in. tried holding volume up, down, both. My phone still have no "reaction", no screen, no error code, just feel it "cool" likes deadly.
And, when i plugged it (battery taken out) into my computer via USB-marcoUSB, a green light on, but still can't connect to it (no device detected from computer, and also cant ADB).
What can I do now ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
that's weird. did you try removing the battery, and plugging into the charger?
...I did this 2 days after getting my ATRIX.
Same exact problem as you, it failed to flash. the green light thing, and no possible way to turn it on. Even tried another battery...
This is called a Hardbrick... not really a fun thing to have happen.
I took mine back to AT&T and got it replaced saying I was having issues from the get go (since I bought it only 2 days ago) they replaced it no questions asked.
Next time you wanna unlock your bootloader, I recommended the automatic script here for doing it.
I was on the 2.3.4 OTA update when I used it.

Fried. Return it for a new one.
Intel from personal experience.
I'm in the same boat, I accidentally clicked the wrong SBF while using RSD and ended up with the same issue above, I'm just gonna send it in, I'm actually shipping it in a couple hours.

[Q] Atrix cannot power on after installation of a new rom

Hi all! My new Atrix was running on Android 2.2, as the newer version of ROM was available, I decided to install it. I fully charged the battery and started installation. In the middle of the process I saw error message in RSD Lite (something like "flashing failed") and my gadget has powered off. Since that time I cannot boot it, cannot power on, cannot do anything. It's like a piece of plastic that doesn't react on any action. Please, help me to resolve this issue, because I cannot return it back to the seller.
Thank you all in advance.
Have you pulled the battery let it sit for a few seconds and put the battery in and tried powering up?
If you can still get into rsd mode then there is hope, otherwise you are hard bricked

Yes, I pulled the battery out and put it in and it didnt help
I cannot access rsd mode as well
One small update, I was plugging the phone to the PC by cable and suddenly the green light switched on. It happened when I was inserting the cable. When the cable was plugged till the end, the green light dissapeared.
Can it be that loader has crashed? If the gadget is hard bricked, is there any possibility to recover it?
Yesterday I was at the service-center, where I was told that boot loader has burnt out and it needs some repair + reinstall firmware using chip programmer. As Atrix is a new model, firmware doesn't exist yet. I am very frustrated that my new phone will lie down on the shelf waiting for good people that create this software.
Same Issue on me

[Q] AP Fastboot problem

I was downgrading from 4.0.4 to 2.3.5 and while flashing with RSDlite the battery suddely went down and it showed failure.
Since then I am not able to turn my phone on, nor even in the menu which shows the option of AP Fastboot.
When I plugin into the computer, it shows a white LED and nothing else. What should I do?

I have been seeing many threads here. One of them suggested to charge in AP fastboot mode using the buttons but that didn't work for me. I am yet to try the cable method.
Is there any other way out?
Guys, I cannot understand why users are trying to flash with low battery again and again. The problem is already known well, am I right?
So, put your device on the charger, NOT TO THE PC. Wait a while and check if it's charging. Maybe you are able to put the device into the fastboot mode only for a short moment, there you can shut it down pressing the power button shortly. The you should be able to charge it normally. If not, try a factory cable. AND at least: READ THE FORUMS!!!
Edit: And do NOT charge it with your PC! It will only charge with you charger.

My phone automatically boots in the fastboot mode and it shows battery low. I am not able to charge it.
I have been reading the forums and all the stuff I found is not working, that's why I made this new thread.
I think from fb mode press vol down and power. This should turn off and you may be able to charge. If not either get a factory lead made or make on yourself

doubt it, ive been trying endless methods to try make it work as waiting for factory cable from ebay is gonna be like 20-25working days, not counting the despatch of the item after 3 business days of payment being received. god that is soooooo long 4 me!! arghhhh
You'll need a factory cable to flash a new rom in order to charge ur razr. Do a factory cable forum search.
Don't be scared by the name, it's just a modified cable you do by yourself.
Good luck

I screwed something up trying to flash. I get back up sometimes but
Now my phone no longer charges. It also shows signal but cant
Do anything unless on wifi. I cant flash anything else to this phone.
I think it still charging in fastboot mode but it takes longer time. Try to charge it (in fastboot mode) for 3-4 hours. It works for me.

No I think it is looking like going on e bay or getting one made locally either by yourself or electronics shop
I have given my phone in a Motorola Service Centre. I will get it back next week, so now I just have to wait!

He didn't mean the battery got shorted out, he meant that the PHONE may have shorted out. I think you need to send it in to HTC for repair. It most likely needs a new motherboard. It's really hard on electronics when they get immersed in liquid.
