hi guys, want to root my galaxy s2 and can`T find s2 root. please can somebody send me a link to download it.
Firstly, you need to provide some info. What does the sticker under your battery say, and what details do you have in settings/about phone ?

Make sure you have the i9100 SGS2. You can brick you phone if you flash it on a different phone.

If you have a I9100/I9100T, look in settings/about phone & make a note of what you have listed in "baseband". Then go to this thread, find the kernel that matches the details in baseband on your phone.
Then follow the instructions in the thread I gave you a link to. Easy. There are also two other methods you can use to root your phone, Zergrush & SuperOneClick, search the board for details of these.
If you have a I9100G, you should be able to find a kernel to root your phone with in this thread.
If you have one of the other SGS2 variants, I have absolutely no idea.

How do I root this phone version to do so?? Also how safe is it the last captivate i owned got bricked but fixed I just don't want to brick this new beautfiul phone for a 5 dollar game. Method 2c is what you are looking for. By the way, this is a sticky in the general forum.
1. Rooting is not firmware dependent, the method to root is almost the same across firmware
2. Installing games does not require rooting.

Hi guys,
i know most of you are thinking now why i dont search or google or something else but really i cant do anything about this.
I am new to flashing and rooting and i rooted my s3 ella i9300 version with the samsung toolkit v 7.0 via odin.

But srsly, there is no good tutorial for newbies. i cant understand why the developers never try to help us noobs in such situations like this.
So please can anyone help me out? I went into the download section of the ROM but there are so many files i dont know which to take and download...

Yes but you would be better not flashing that rom . But spending time reading the basics first as you are lacking in even the first steps .
Noobs are expected to read first flash last this is a developers forum for developers . Those that don't bother to learn the basics are not going to be spoonfed .
So seriously you read the posted stickied faqs and guides or suffer a bricked phone your choice .

I am new to this forum like a new born baby and intending to Root my Samsung Galaxy S3. I have gone through a few threads and posts which has the steps and information to be followed up for rooting.
I am looking for some simpler steps for rooting and couldn't understand those technical terms. It would be much much thankful if someone could help me out to explain the steps in simpler way to root my device. These technical terms here are too hard to digest.!!
