[Q] wireless sync outlook? - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

To all the experts out there. I have a serious question (for me it is) for you.
Is there a program that allows me to wirelessly sync with HTC Sync? I know there is ADB programs out there, but they sync files. I want to sync my outlook contacts and calendar only, not transfer files.
I am using a rooted BAMF SoaB 1.04 Custom ROM with GoLauncher.
Anyone got anything?

Google calendar sync will allow yoou to sync your Outlook contacts and calendar with your Google account and Android device. Note: there are issues with the sync process, In my opinion this is not fully compatible with 64 bit win7XP or vista.
Good luck, easy to dl and set up

[Q] Upload contacts into SkyDrive with WM 6.5

Hi guys,
I have been used to using Windows MyPhone for doing a on-line backup of my contacts from WM 6.5. This application and Windows MyPhone service is gonna be removed, so I wanna ask, what I can use instead of that? I have never found some frontend application for WM 6.5, that supports SkyDrive.
Thanks for reply..
Use Live hotmail. When you sync with Windows Live, your mail/appointments/contacts will be sync.

This has always worked well for me. As far as i know there are two ways of doing it:
Use the Windows Live app, which will sync your contacts and email.
Use activesync which will backup tasks and calendar too, as well as push email (delivers email in real time, not limited to sending/receiving every x minutes. have a look at this page http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_...ar-and-contacts-with-exchange-activesync.aspx or google exchange activesync hotmail
note that syncing with windows live will also download all your previous contacts from the server.
(not to hijack, but quick question: there's no way to sync contacts and not show messenger contacts in your windows mobile contacts for instance, is there?)
I had much more luck syncing with Google Calendar than with Hotmail Calendar. And it wasn't for the lack of trying. Syncing with Hotmail is like syncing with Desktop Outlook. Great while it works but once it's broken, it's broken for good. On the contrary, in about a year of syncing with Google I haven't run into a problem yet that I wasn't able to resolve. I am syncing Calendar, Contacts and email using ActiveSync, and tasks using GogTasks freeware. Contacts sync especially has been flawless.
If you can live with Google's limitations (no category support unless you buy a 3rd party app, have to jump through hoops to sync Tasks), I suggest you try that.

HTC Sync question

I have a question about the htc sync software. I have not used it since I had my touch pro and I don't remember much about it at all. Will it allow you to sync folders that are in your outlook mail folder as well as the mail itself?

How to ove Blackberry memos and calendars to GNote?

I cant find how to do this and believe me I have search...
Thanks!
Will the note sync with outlook? The blackberry does. If both of them do then maybe I can sync the BB first then sync the Note. Any good backing program that I can use without rooting so I can put it back the way it was before I try this?

It doesn't out of box. Samsung Kies software can be downloaded somewhere (other than US) that supports sync with Outlook for calendars and contacts, not memos.
Your best choice is sync with some cloud services like GMail or Hotmail for calendars and contacts.
I end up using DejaOffice and outlook. I sync my blackberry to outlook only selecting the calendar and memos. Then i sync from outlook to used DejaOffice to in the Note. Working fine so far. There is a few kinks i need to iron but it is working great!

Outlook Sync

Does anyone know of a good and reliable way to sync with Outlook. I have a standalone Outlook setup for work, no Exachange or ActiveSync. HTC Sync doesn't even see this phone and the HTC Sync Manager the phone links to isn't available yet.
I have tried Android Sync Manager but that program is worthless. I can't get a status of the sync and when it finally stops nothing has been transfered to the phone.
Thanks

[Q] How to sync HTC Tasks with Outlook?

Hi at all.
I had a HD2 (WM6.5) up to now using MS Active Sync (Mobile Device Centre) for syncing with Outlook for contacts, calender and tasks.
How does this work with One X+ (shipped ROM GER)?
HTC's Sync Manager only does contacts and calender (besides media files). Also tried to look up other tools but did not find a suiteable one so far. Also tried to sync Outlook with Google first and in a second step syncing Google with HTC Task. Did not sync at all into Task but in Calender only, which has not been to my favour...
So how?
I'd like to keep on using Outlook tasks as well as a task program on HOX+ syncing each other, together with calender and contacts of course...
Thanks for your ideas. And all the best for 2013 of course!
Cheers
