Wonderful, thank you for news... +1 works flawlessly
Hello!
thanks for sharing, this works really well...
Im wondering - have anyone found out if there is a option for changing user agent yet?
for a beta this is DEAD sexy browser :>

like apple or microsoft wouldn't do the exact same thing in the situation? If you have a problem with people tracking you when on the internet, don't get on the internet Tinfoil hats interfere with wifi anyways
feels great but everything is in mobile web sites

You always can download the apk and install it. But my experience says that it got with every update poorer. Currently unusable.

Just installed Chrome on JB 4.1.1... so nice

So I'm sure a lot of you have heard that Facebook introduced its new video chat feature today through a partnership with Skype.
I was wondering if anyone has been able to download the exe file onto their tablet. It is not automatically downloading for me and there is nowhere for me to click start download, but on my laptop it worked fine.
the OS has no idea what an exe is
Is there any way to get this to work?

Unlikely... At announcement they said it was just for web browsers (at least for the moment anyway)
I didn't see a thread on this but last night I noticed I was able to download the Facebook app to my 10.1 and it works fine, albeit it looks simply like a very stretched version of the phone application. It does work, though, and fairly well at that.
yup. Works fine!
I installed it and it worked for a bit but now its useless
It's still garbage... I've sideloaded a few older versions plus the latest version from the market and its still just basic at best.
Still haven't fixed the FC everytime you try to go to your friends list.

Yep, I like the browser too. There's nothing much wrong with it.

Yeah, but typing replies is a pain in the butt. We need MyPad ported from the iOS
Friendcaster works better now since they got rid of the Tab beta version but they've basically reverted to an over-sized phone UI instead of the immensely superior split-screen set-up the beta had.
I'm hoping the next update to the proper version will re-introduce the better Tab-oriented UI.

I'm on the latest non-tab-specific version, and it looks identical to the tab beta....

If you don't mind me asking, what version are you running?
I've got 3.20.2 and even with the 'enlarged UI mode' checked in the settings, it just makes it look like the phone version but bigger.

Agreed. I have the newest friendcaster app direct from the market (not the tab beta version) and it auto detected mine was a tab on install and installed the tab version. It looks like my version is 3.20.2
Uploaded to dropbox for you although you should be able to get from market.

Yep, 3.20.2 here also. Works well.

Huh, weird.
I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now I see the proper UI...
The only thing bugging me about the new Friendcaster is the ad at the bottom. Actually, there is never an ad there, it just says "Click here to disable ads for thirty days!" It takes me to a broken link. I would love to share Fridnscaster to get rid of this ad, but I guess we have to live with it for now.
(That link worked in the Tab beta version.)

I just wanted to confirm this. I was told that flash doesn't work on JB and that adobe did not plan to have a working version? Is this correct? I have been wanting to try one of the jb roms from our great developers but I need flash. I use dolphin to stream video from amazon and it requires you to have flash to do this.

Flash works on the JB Roms I've tried. The market won't let you download it, so you'll have to install manually.
Adobe will no longer support flash for new versions of Android. Most websites are offering alternatives anyway, welcome to HTML5

Download it and tap it - it installs. Save it somewhere for future use.

What version of dolphin should we use? I have 8.7 and 8.6.1
Adobe Flash 11.X works fine the stock browser for me. Especially on my tablets.
Just wish it would work on Chrome :/

If you have it installed already uninstall, find apk online and reinstall than reboot that worked for me.

For me version 8.6x and 8.7 won't let you enable flash. Version 7.6 crashes when you enable flash.
Anyone on JB have any luck? I get through the permissions / sign on process, then it quits trying to load the start page. I'm currently on Greys Cm, 10 rom.
Chrome usually doesn't work well on HTC Devices running AOSP...
Also chrome isn't a beta anymore
I think he is taking about the test releases that they started...

I haven't tried it I just figured I'd add my two cents, on JB the stock browser is by far the most effective

it's weird cuz when I manually search for the app Chrome Beta it only finds the regular Chrome. I found a link on Android Police I think and they had the google play store link for the app.
edit: btw Chrome Beta is much faster with ICS. I'm on Ineffabilis Deus 1.2 ICS 4.0.3
Has anyone been able to get Beta to work recently? I have never gotten it to, and am mostly running Neo's Roms. It installs, lets me login, but then closes without any warning. Just curious what other people are experiencing. Link for Beta since it hides when you search for it in case you want to try it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chrome.beta
You should (or at least this is how I was doing it) be able to see them if you search online at the play store... Then just downloaded it whichever device you want to use it on
unrelated but it still amazes me i can click install on my computer and it downloads on my phone.. freakin magic

Thanks for confirming it wasn't only me!
I also haven't been able to use Chrome beta. It immediately closes as soon as I try to type in the address bar.
Current ROM: Tron v1.2 - HTC Rezound
Just re downloaded it... Works fine for me. The Brower itself is just really bad though... I never used it because it was slow and clunky.... I'm a dolphin fan...
Anyone get this website to work? I have the latest flash player running and used many different browsers but hust cant seem to get it to stream. Any suggestions would be great...

Its an open source media hub, you then add repositories for video/program add-ons
http://xbmc.org/
Download 12.2 (most stable build).
YouTube up Icefilms/Navi-X if you want to get an idea of what is possible. XBMC has come a long way from Xbox and ATV, use to be such a pain to install everything its gotten a lot simpler.
